Lauri Markkanen had a standout performance with 31 points and 12 rebounds.
Houston dropped their third in a row in blowout fashion on Saturday at Fiserv Forum, falling to the Milwaukee Bucks 125-105. Jalen Green recorded 22 points to top the scoresheet in defeat. With 18 points and seven assists, Kevin Porter Jr. also played a part.
Utah won three out of four games between the teams last season, including a 132-127 overtime triumph in their last meeting at Toyota Center on March 2. Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 37 points, while Rudy Gobert added 27 points and 17 rebounds. Green had 27 points in the losing effort.
Markkanen is averaging 24.0 points per game to lead the Jazz in scoring so far this season. Meanwhile, Mike Conley is dishing 9.0 assists per game, sixth-most in the league, and Jarred Vanderbilt is grabbing 10.0 rebounds per game.
Green has supplied much of the Rockets’ offense, averaging 23.7 points per game. Alperen Sengun is averaging 10.0 rebounds per game, and Porter Jr. is distributing 6.0 assists. The teams have split their last 10 clashes at Toyota Center (5-5).
