The Sacramento Kings (3-5, 2-2 Away) will try to slow down one of the NBA’s top scoring teams when they head to face the Golden State Warriors (3-7, 3-1 Home) on Monday. Sacramento squeaked by the Orlando Magic 126-123 in overtime at Amway Center on Saturday.
De’Aaron Fox had a standout performance with 37 points. The Kings are 14th in the Western Conference. Golden State lost their fifth in a row on Friday at Smoothie King Center, falling to the New Orleans Pelicans 114-105.
Jordan Poole recorded 20 points to lead the team in scoring in the loss. With 18 points, six rebounds, and five assists, Ty Jerome also had a strong game. The Warriors are the 12th seed in the Western Conference.
It’s the final meeting of the season between the teams. Golden State will be seeking a season sweep against Sacramento after taking the only previous game 130-125 at Chase Center on October 23, their sixth straight head-to-head victory.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 33 points. Fox had 26 points and 10 assists in the loss. Fox is averaging 26.3 points per game to lead the Kings in scoring this season. Meanwhile, Domantas Sabonis is contributing 10.6 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game.
Curry (31.0 ppg) has supplied much of the Warriors’ offense. He has the fifth-highest scoring average in the league. Curry has also put up 7.0 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game.The Warriors are one of the highest-scoring offenses in the NBA, ranking third with 117.4 points per game.
The Kings are 2-5 in seven visits to Chase Center. Golden State has a 3-7 record over the last 10, allowing 121.4 points per game on average while scoring only 117.4 (-4.0 margin).
