Golden State triumphed on Friday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 120-114. Jordan Poole had 32 points to lead the team in scoring. With 22 points and eight assists, Ty Jerome also impressed.
The Warriors are the ninth seed in the Western Conference. The teams are meeting for the last time this season. Brooklyn will be seeking a season sweep against Golden State after winning the only prior game 143-113 at Barclays Center in December 2022. Kevin Durant led the Nets with 23 points and seven rebounds.
James Wiseman had 30 points in the losing effort.The Nets have been led this season by Durant and Irving, who are averaging 29.7 and 25.7 points per game, respectively. Durant is seventh in the NBA in scoring. Meanwhile, Nicolas Claxton is grabbing 8.5 rebounds per game, and Ben Simmons is dishing 5.9 assists.
Poole (21.3 ppg) and Klay Thompson (20.9) have been the primary providers for the Warriors on offense. Kevon Looney is averaging 8.7 rebounds per game, and Draymond Green is doling out 6.6 assists. With 117.6 points per game, the Warriors are one of the highest-scoring offenses in the league (4th).
The Nets are 1-1 in two trips to Chase Center. Golden State is seeking to snap a three-game home losing streak this season.
