Dallas Mavericks @ Golden State Warriors – 9pm ET

The Dallas Mavericks remain in San Francisco for Game 2 of their Conference Finals series with the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors got the job done fairly easily in Game 1, defeating the Mavericks 112-87. The Mavericks will be looking to strike back and return to Dallas with the series tied 1-1.

Jeffery Thomas

The Golden State Warriors set the tone of the series in Game 1 with a blowout 112-87 win over the Dallas Mavericks at home. The Duns are now just one playoff victory away from becoming the fifth NBA franchise to hit the 200 postseason win mark and will hope to accomplish that on Friday night. Game 1 was the seventh consecutive home victory for Golden State who outshot the Mavs 56% to 36% and outrebounded them 51-35.

Andrew Wiggins drew the tough assignment of guarding Luka Doncic and limited him to a postseason low of 20 points on 6-18 shooting. This is a tough matchup for Dallas, especially on the road and I think we will see more of the same in Game 2. The Warriors are just the much better team and while it may be a little closer this time, I still think we get a cover from the home team.

Jeffery’s NBA Pick: Golden State Warriors -6 (-114)

Noah Dunlap

We’ve gotten to Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, and the Dallas Mavericks are going to have to figure out how to fix some things from Game 1 if they want a chance to tie this series up. They dropped the first game in blowout fashion, as they lost by 25, and never really looked like they belonged on the same floor with the Golden State Warriors. The game was ugly from the beginning, with the Warriors outshooting the Mavs by 20%, while also out rebounding them with ease. If Dallas is going to have a chance, they’re going to have to get a big game from Luka Doncic, who struggled a bit in the first game, and get better paint play against a smaller Golden State lineup.

For the Dubs, the game plan remains the same. Feed Steph Curry, and expect him to shoot the ball well, while also getting good performances from Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole, as well. Their backcourt is likely the best in the league, and while their frontcourt isn’t built around being an offensive unit, if they can get points from the perimeter, with Draymond Green and Kevon Looney grabbing rebounds off misses, this is a team that is tremendously tough to beat. While the Mavs have had a good run so far, this is a series that I think they struggle in, because Luka won’t be able to carry the team by himself against a team with the offensive firepower that Golden State has. Give me the Dubs once again in this one, and while it may not come by 25, I think it is another double-digit win for the Warriors at home in the Bay.

Noah’s NBA Pick: Golden State Warriors -6 (-114)

Tony Battalio

The Dallas Mavericks will be looking to bounce back after a tough performance in Game 1. Dallas had a decent regular season. They looked bad in the first game of this series as the Golden State Warriors made Luka Doncic look human for the first time in a while. The Golden State Warriors are back to their winning ways when the lights are the brightest.

They had little problem in Game 1 of this series as they cruised this a huge win.  Now they will be looking to get a win in Game 2 as the series will shift back to Dallas for Game 3 and 4. As for the result of this one, I am going with the Golden State Warriors to get the win.

Tony’s NBA Pick: Golden State Warriors (-260)
