Los Angeles Clippers @ New York Knicks – 1PM ET

We start the Sunday program with the clash between the Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks. The Clippers are currently on the road in the East and have played three games so far. After losing the first one to the Atlanta Hawks, they beat the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic, and now are looking for three in a row.

Paul George led them in a 116-90 victory over Orlando with 26 points, game-high nine rebounds, team-high five assists, and two steals. Kawhi Leonard was right behind with 24 points and four boards, while Serge Ibaka contributed with 13 points, nine rebounds, and game-high three blocks.

The New York Knicks returned home from a four-game road trip in the West and snapped a three-game losing skid with a 102-81 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was their best defensive display of the season as they kept the Cavs to miserable 33 points in the opening half. Cleveland shot just 34.5% from the floor.

Immanuel Quickley led the Knicks with 25 points and five rebounds, RJ Barrett followed him with 24 points, four boards, and two steals, while Julius Randle finished with 16 points, team-high eight rebounds, and game-high six assists.

New York is actually a better team that they are credited for, but we don’t think they stand a chance against the title contenders Los Angeles Clippers.

NBA Pick – Los Angeles Clippers (-303)
NBA Spread – Los Angeles Clippers -8 (-110)
Game Totals Pick – Under 212.5 (-110)

Utah Jazz @ Denver Nuggets – 3:30PM ET

Probably the most exciting game of the day will be played at Ball Arena when the team with the best record in the league, the Utah Jazz, take on the Denver Nuggets. The Jazz are the hottest team in the NBA with 11 consecutive wins and are standing at a 15-4 record and at the top of the Western Conference.

Bojan Bogdanovic led Utah in a 120-101 win over the Dallas Mavericks with 32 points (seven triples). Mike Conley added 22 points, game-high nine assists, and game-high three steals, Jordan Clarkson had 18 points and six rebounds, while Rudy Gobert posted a double-double of 17 points and game-high 12 boards, along with a pair of rejections.

The Denver Nuggets were on a five-game winning streak, but the San Antonio Spurs stopped them with a 119-109 victory. Nikola Jokic led his team with a double-double of 35 points and game-high ten rebounds, along with five assists. Jamal Murray chipped in with 20 points, team-high seven dimes, six boards, and two steals, while Gary Harris had 11 points and two thefts.

The Jazz won the opening game of this season’s series in Denver, and we think it’s time for the Nuggets to return a favor and snap Utah’s fantastic run.

NBA Pick – Denver Nuggets (-114)
NBA Spread – Denver Nuggets -1.5 (-110)
Game Totals Pick – Over 220.5 (-110)

Philadelphia 76ers @ Indiana Pacers – 7PM ET

Another interesting and potentially close matchup is going to take place in Indianapolis when the Philadelphia 76ers visit the Indiana Pacers. The Sixers won seven of the last nine games, and are on a two-game winning run as they beat the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Joel Embiid led the 76ers in a 118-94 victory over the Wolves with a double-double of 37 points and game-high 11 rebounds. Tobias Harris also recorded a double-double of 17 points and 11 boards, along with two blocks, while Shake Milton and Seth Curry combined for 25 points. Ben Simmons had 11 points, game-high seven assists, and four rebounds.

The Indiana Pacers were hoping to record the third win in a row when they faced the Charlotte Hornets in the most recent game, but fell short in the end, 108-105. Indiana is now at a 11-8 record and in 4th place in the Eastern Conference, with three wins behind the Sixers.

Domantas Sabonis led them in a loss to Charlotte with a double-double of 22 points and game-high 11 rebounds, along with six assists. Malcolm Brogdon followed him with 21 points, team-high eight dishes, and four boards, Myles Turned chipped in with 20 pints, eight rebounds, and two blocks, while Jeremy Lamb had 12 points, five boards, two steals, and two rejections.

We are pretty undecided which team to back in this one, but we’re giving a slight advantage to the home side.

NBA Pick – Indiana Pacers (+122)
NBA Spread – Indiana Pacers +2 (-110)
Game Totals Pick – Under 223.5 (-110)

Orlando Magic @ Toronto Raptors – 7PM ET

The Orlando Magic are struggling at the moment. They lost ten of the previous 12 games, including four of the last five. Orlando is still in the playoff contention in the East with an 8-12 record, but they have been troubled with injuries this season.

It seems that the available players are not good enough to make the cut and finish the regular season among the top eight teams in the conference. Terrence Ross led the Magic in a 116-90 defeat to the Los Angeles Clippers with 24 points and four rebounds. Nikola Vucevic had ten points and six rebounds, while the rest of the players ended the game in single digits.

The Toronto Raptors are back to the losing streak after suffering three consecutive losses, including the most recent one to the Sacramento Kings. Toronto is struggling this season; they are 7-12 right now, and they must improve their game if they want to enter the playoffs this year.

Pascal Siakam, who is displaying disappointing performances this year, led Toronto in a 126-124 loss to Sacramento with season-high 32 points and four rebounds. Fred VanVleet added 26 points, team-high six assists, five rebounds, and game-high four steals, while Kyle Lowry posted 17 points and six dimes.

This game is coming at the right time for the Raptors to end their recent slump and record a victory.

NBA Pick – Toronto Raptors (-204)
NBA Spread – Toronto Raptors -5.5 (-110)
Game Totals Pick – Under 221.5 (-110)

Brooklyn Nets @ Washington Wizards – 7PM ET

The Brooklyn Nets are finding their groove and it seems nobody can stop them now after they won four games in a row. They scored a season-high 147 points in a big 147-125 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. Brooklyn made 57% of their shots and hit 19 triples on 45 attempts (42.2%), while they dominated OKC in both rebounds (50-36) and assists (33-23).

James Harden led them with a triple-double of 25 points, game-high 11 assists, and game-high ten rebounds. Kyrie Irving also scored 25 points with seven dimes, and five boards, Joe Harris scored 20 with two steals, while Bruce Brown contributed with 19 points and five rebounds.

The Washington Wizards are slowly getting their team back to full health after a couple of weeks of quarantine and issues with COVID-19. They still lost all four games following their return to the floor.

After a three-game road trip in the West, the Wizards returned home and lost to the Atlanta Hawks, 116-100. Bradley Beal led the team with 26 points and two thefts, while Russell Westbrook also added 26 points, along with six rebounds and team-high four assists.

Brooklyn is a firm favorite in this one, and we don’t think they will have problems beating the Wizards on Sunday.

NBA Pick – Brooklyn Nets (-400)
NBA Spread – Brooklyn Nets -9 (-110)
Game Totals Pick – Over 244 (-110)

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Minnesota Timberwolves – 8PM ET

We’re closing the Sunday’s program in the NBA with an inter-conference tilt between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves. The Cavs lost three of the previous four games, and the latest 102-81 defeat to the New York Knicks came as a massive disappointment, as they scored season-low 81 points.

Darius Garland led Cleveland with 24 points and two steals. Collin Sexton added 17 points and team-high five assists, while Jarrett Allen chipped in with 15 points and nine rebounds. Andre Drummond had a quiet game as he finished with just four points, but managed to rack up game-high 15 boards along with a couple of blocks.

The Minnesota Timberwolves lost seven of the previous eight games, and are on a three-game losing skid. Malik Beasley led the Wolves with 22 points and five rebounds. Anthony Edward had 15 points and four boards, D’Angelo Russell added 14 points and team-high four assists, while Jarred Vanderbilt ended the clash with 11 points and five rebounds.

We expect Minnesota’s struggles to continue on Sunday, while the Cavs have an excellent opportunity to return to winning ways.

NBA Pick – Cleveland Cavaliers (-154)
NBA Spread – Cleveland Cavaliers -3.5 (-110)
Game Totals Pick – Over 218.5 (-110)
