Our NBA picks are fully prepared for a busy day in the NBA as 16 teams hit the floor. Duels between the Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers as well as the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers stand out above most with conference seeding on the line.

Boston Celtics @ New Orleans Pelicans – 3:30PM ET

The Boston Celtics have been inconsistent this season. They lost five of the previous eight games and are currently at a 15-14 record and 5th place in the Eastern Conference. Boston managed to bounce back from a loss to the Atlanta Hawks with a win over the same opponents two days later.

Kemba Walker led the C’s in a 121-109 win with 28 points, six assists, five rebounds, and three steals. Jayson Tatum was right behind with 25 points, eight boards, six dimes, and three blocks, while Jaylen Brown and Tristan Thompson scored 17 points apiece.

The New Orleans Pelicans lost five of the last six games, including the latest one to the Phoenix Suns, 132-114. They dropped to a 12-17 record and 12th position in the Western Conference.

Brandon Ingram led them in a loss to Phoenix with 25 points. Zion Williamson added 23 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while Lonzo Ball posted a double-double of 21 points and 12 dishes, along with three thefts and two rejections.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Cleveland Cavaliers – 7PM ET

The Oklahoma City Thunder managed to snap a three-game losing skid with a win over the Milwaukee Bucks, but then suffered three more defeats. The Thunder scored a season-low 85 points in a 98-85 loss to the Bucks and had a woeful shooting percentage of 36.5%.

Luguentz Dort led OKC with 17 points, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 14 points, five assists, and four rebounds, while Hamidou Diallo, Al Horford, and Isaiah Roby scored ten points each.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in a disastrous form of nine consecutive losses and they dropped to a 10-20 record and 14th place in the East. Collin Sexton led the Cavs in a 120-103 defeat to the Denver Nuggets with 23 points and four assists.

Jarrett Allen posted a double-double of 20 points and ten rebounds, along with four dimes, while Darius Garland and Isaac Okoro chipped in with 14 points apiece.

Detroit Pistons @ Orlando Magic – 7PM ET

The Detroit Pistons recorded two straight wins for the first time this season, but they lost the next two games to the Chicago Bulls and Memphis Grizzlies to return to the bottom of the East with an 8-21 record.

Delon Wright led the Pistons in a 109-95 defeat to Memphis with 16 points and four assists. Jerami Grant also scored 16, Josh Jackson had 15 points and seven rebounds, while Mason Plumlee posted a double-double of ten points and game-high 15 boards, along with six dishes and two blocks.

The Orlando Magic started playing better lately and they improved to a 12-18 record, but that is still not enough to be the playoff contenders. Nikola Vucevic was great with a triple-double of 30 points, 16 rebounds, and ten assists, as he helped his team beating the Golden State Warriors 124-120. Evan Fournier followed him with 28 points, six dishes, four boards, and two steals, while Terrence Ross had 24 points, four rebounds, and three thefts.

Philadelphia 76ers @ Toronto Raptors – 7PM ET

The Philadelphia 76ers returned home from a four-game road trip, on which they suffered three consecutive defeats, and recorded a couple of wins over the Houston Rockets and Chicago Bulls. The Sixers are still at the top of the Eastern Conference with a 20-10 record, but the Brooklyn Nets (19-12) are right behind.

Joel Embiid exploded in a 112-105 victory over Chicago with a double-double of 50 points and 17 rebounds, along with five assists, four blocks, and two steals. Tobias Harris also had a double-double of 22 points and 12 boards with seven dishes.

The Toronto Raptors are on the rise after winning eight of the previous 11 games, including the last three over the Milwaukee Bucks twice and Minnesota Timberwolves. The Raptors are back at .500, and will be looking to get to the positive record for the first time this season.

Norman Powell led the Raptors in an 86-81 win over the Wolves with a season-high 31 points and six rebounds. Fred VanVleet added 12 points, seven boards, three steals, and two blocks, while Pascal Siakam had ten points, nine rebounds, six dimes, and three rejections.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ New York Knicks – 7PM ET

The Minnesota Timberwolves shocked the Toronto Raptors and snapped a four-game losing streak, but returned to losing ways and suffered three more losses. The latest one came to the Raptors, who got their revenge in an 86-81 victory.

Karl-Anthony Towns led the Wolves with a double-double of 19 points and game-high 13 rebounds, along with four assists and two blocks. Malik Beasley had 13 points and five boards, while Jordan McLaughlin scored 11 points with game-high seven dimes.

The New York Knicks couldn’t record four wins in a row for the first time this season as the Orlando Magic stopped them with a 107-89 victory. The Knicks are still among the playoff teams with a 14-16 record and are currently in 6th place in the East.

Julius Randle led them in a loss with 25 points and seven rebounds, RJ Barrett contributed with 15 points and seven boards, while Elfrid Payton ended the game with 13 points and five assists.

Denver Nuggets @ Atlanta Hawks – 7:30PM ET

The Denver Nuggets bounced back from a pair of defeats with a 120-103 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers and improved to a 16-13 record.

Jamal Murray had a fantastic night as he scored 50 points with six rebounds and two steals. Michael Porter Jr. chipped in with 22 points and seven boards, while Nikola Jokic recorded his 7th triple-double of the campaign with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and ten dimes, along with four thefts.

The Atlanta Hawks continued with poor form as they suffered their eighth defeat in the last ten games, this time to the Boston Celtics, only two days after beating them.

Trae Young led the Hawks in a 121-109 loss to the C’s with a double-double of 31 points and 11 assists, along with three steals. Clint Capela also posted a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds, along with four blocks and two thefts.

Brooklyn Nets @ Los Angeles Clippers – 8PM ET

The Brooklyn Nets are playing their best basketball of the season as they secured the fifth consecutive victory. Their latest “victims” were the Los Angeles Lakers, so the Nets will try to beat another LA team on Sunday.

James Harden led Brooklyn in a 109-98 with a double-double of 23 points and 11 assists, along with five rebounds and two steals. Joe Harris had 21 points and five boards, while Kyrie Irving contributed with 16 points, seven rebounds, and five dimes.

The Los Angeles Clippers’ four-game winning streak snapped with a loss to the Utah Jazz, but they responded with a 116-112 victory over the same rivals. They improved to a 22-9 record and are in 3rd position in the West.

Kawhi Leonard led the team with 29 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Lou Williams scored 19, Marcus Morris and Patrick Beverley had 17 apiece, while Paul George ended the game with 15 points, six boards, and five dishes.

Milwaukee Bucks @ Sacramento Kings – 9PM ET

The Sacramento Kings are going through the roughest period of the season as they suffered five straight defeats. All five losses came at home, including the latest one to the Miami Heat.

Nemanja Bjelica led the Kings in a 118-110 loss with 25 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. Marvin Bagley recorded a double-double of 19 points and team-high ten boards, DaQuan Jeffries scored a career-high 17 points, while De’Aaron Fox posted a double-double of 11 points and team-high ten assists.

The Milwaukee Bucks finally snapped a five-game losing run with a 98-85 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder and improved to a 17-13 record, which is good enough for 3rd place in the East.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee with a double-double of 29 points and 19 rebounds, along with eight assists and three blocks. Khris Middleton followed him with 20 points, eight boards, and four dimes.
