Boston Celtics @ Washington Wizards – 1PM ET

The Boston Celtics are not playing well this season despite having a positive record at the moment (13-12). They lost six of the previous ten games, including three of the last four. The latest, probably the most disappointing defeat of all, came to the Detroit Pistons at home.

Jayson Tatum led the Celtics in a 108-102 loss with a double-double of 33 points and team-high 11 rebounds, along with game-high seven assists. Jaylen Brown followed him with 27 points, six rebounds, and two steals, while Daniel Theis had 11 points and nine boards.

The Washington Wizards are in a worse form than the Celtics, but that was expected from the team with the weakest record in the Eastern Conference. They lost nine of the last 12 games and dropped to a 6-17 record.

The New York Knicks defeated them 109-91 in the latest tilt as Washington shot just 38.2% from the floor and was inferior below the rims with 46 rebounds opposite the Knicks’ 65.

Russell Westbrook led the Wizards with a near triple-double performance of 20 points, game-high 11 assists and team-high nine rebounds. Garrison Mathews scored 14, while Rui Hachimura and Troy Brown added ten points and five boards apiece.

It’s a great chance for the Celtics to return to winning ways, and we’re backing them to do it in Washington.

NBA Pick – Boston Celtics (-217)
NBA Spread – Boston Celtics -6.5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Under 231.5 (-110)

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Toronto Raptors – 6PM ET

The Minnesota Timberwolves lost nine of the previous 11 games and are on a four-game losing skid. They have the worst record in the entire NBA (6-20), and we can already say this season is over for the Wolves, who will likely tank it later on.

Malik Beasley led them in a 120—114 loss to the Charlotte Hornets with 31 points and five rebounds. Karl-Anthony Towns contributed with 25 points, team-high eight rebounds, and two steals, while Anthony Edwards finished the game with 21 points and six boards.

The Toronto Raptors started playing much better recently, so after three losses in a row, they recorded five wins in seven games and improved to 12-14 and climbed up to the 8th place in the East.

Still, the Raptors couldn’t make it three in a row as they lost to the Boston Celtics 120-106 in the latest game, mostly because of a weak perimeter shooting and only nine triples opposite Boston’s 20.

Kyle Lowry led the Raptors with 24 points and six assists. Pascal Siakam had 23 points and four rebounds, Norman Powell scored 15 points with four boards, while Chris Boucher posted 12 points, six rebounds, and game-high five blocks.

The Raptors should take this without problems as we think the Timberwolves are a much weaker opponent right now.

NBA Pick – Toronto Raptors (-333)
NBA Spread – Toronto Raptors -8.5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 229.5 (-110)

San Antonio Spurs @ Charlotte Hornets – 7PM ET

The San Antonio Spurs are playing their best basketball of the season as they recorded seven wins in the last ten games and four in the previous five. Gregg Popovich’s side bounced back from a massive defeat to the Golden State Warriors with a 125-114 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

DeMar DeRozan led the team with 23 points, game-high eight assists, and six rebounds. Keldon Johnson scored 20 points, Dejounte Murray had 16 points, six boards, and five dimes, while Jakob Poeltl recorded a double-double of 14 points and game-high 12 rebounds, along with game-high three thefts and game-high four blocks.

The Charlotte Hornets continue to flirt with the playoffs in the Eastern Conference as they currently stand at a 13-14 record, which is apparently enough for the 6th position in the conference.

They beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 120-114 in the most recent game thanks to a fantastic Terry Rozier, who scored 41 points and seven rebounds. LaMelo Ball posted a double-double of 20 points and game-high 11 boards, along with four assists and team-high three steals.

Cody Zeller had 17 points and eight rebounds, Gordon Hayward chipped in with 14 points, seven rebounds, and five dishes, while Miles Bridges recorded a double-double of 11 points and ten boards.

It’s going to be a close one, and we’re giving a slight advantage to the Hornets, who seem to have a greater depth.

NBA Pick – Charlotte Hornets (+110)
NBA Spread – Charlotte hornets +1.5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Under 229.5 (-110)

Milwaukee Bucks @ Oklahoma City Thunder – 7PM ET

The Milwaukee Bucks will play their sixth consecutive game on the road trip. After winning five games in a row, the Bucks lost the last two to the Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz and dropped to a 16-10 record.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks in a 129-115 loss to Utah with a double-double of 29 points and game-high 15 rebounds, along with team-high six assists, and two blocks. Brook Lopez was right behind with 23 points, six boards, and two rejections, Khris Middleton had 18 points and four dishes, while Bobby Portis scored 15 points with five rebounds.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are not playing well of late as they suffered six defeats in eight games. They lost three in the last four, and each of those losses came by a small margin with two coming after overtime.

Josh Jackson led the Thunder in a 97-95 loss to the Denver Nuggets with 20 points and two steals. Hamidou Diallo added 16 points, four rebounds, and game-high three steals, Al Horford also scored 16 points with five boards and four assists, while Luguentz Dort had 15 points.

Milwaukee will have a much easier job following duels with Phoenix and Utah, and we’re backing the Bucks to get the job done without any problems.

NBA Pick – Milwaukee Bucks (-526)
NBA Spread – Milwaukee Bucks -10 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Under 228.5 (-110)

New Orleans Pelicans @ Detroit Pistons – 7PM ET

The New Orleans Pelicans are currently on the road trip, and after securing four consecutive victories, they lost to the Chicago Bulls and Dallas Mavericks. The Pels did drop to a 11-14 record, but they will definitely fight for the playoffs in the Western Conference.

They allowed a season-high 143 points in a 143-130 loss to the Mavs, despite having two players with 30+ points. Zion Williamson led the Pelicans with 36 points, four assists, and two steals, while Brandon Ingram had 30 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

Eric Bledsoe added 16 points, four boards, and four dishes, while Lonzo Ball ended the clash with 12 points, team-high seven assists, and six rebounds.

The Detroit Pistons proved to be the championship contenders’ killers this season. After defeating the Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Brooklyn Nets, the Pistons shocked the Boston Celtics with a 108-102 road victory.

It’s actually the second win of the campaign over the C’s that helped them improve to a 7-19 record and move out from the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Saddiq Bey led the team with a career-high 30 points and career-high 12 rebounds.

He made seven triples, which is Detroit’s rookie record. Delon Wright followed him with 22 points, game-high seven assists, and six rebounds, Jerami Grant had 15 points, five boards, and two blocks, while Josh Jackson and Blake Griffin combined for 26 points, nine rebounds, and eight dimes.

Detroit impressed several times this season, but they are a weak team and their record shows it, so we’re going with New Orleans in this one.

NBA Pick – New Orleans Pelicans (-164)
NBA Spread – New Orleans Pelicans -4 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Under 221.5 (-110)

Portland Trail Blazers @ Dallas Mavericks – 7:30PM ET

The Portland Trail Blazers continue to march on without CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic and after three straight wins, they improved to a 15-10 record and are in 5th position in the Western Conference.

The Blazers beat the Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, and Cleveland Cavaliers at home after returning from a six-game road trip. Gary Trent led Portland in a 129-110 win over the Cavs with 26 points.

Carmelo Anthony scored 23, Enes Kanter posted a double-double of 21 points and gam-high 13 rebounds, while Damian Lillard contributed with 20 points and game-high nine dishes.

The Dallas Mavericks are also playing well recently as they put bad form behind and recorded four victories in a row. They defeated the Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks, and New Orleans Pelicans, all at home.

The Mavs scored a season-high 143 points in a 143-130 win over the Pels and made even 25 triples. Luka Doncic led them with a career-high of 46 points, game-high 12 assists, and team-high eight rebounds.

Kristaps Porzingis had 36 points and seven boards, Dorian Finney-Smith added 14 points and five rebounds, while Jalen Brunson Chipped in with 13 points, seven dimes, and six boards.

It’s going to be a tight duel that could go either way, but we’re giving an advantage to the hosts.

NBA Pick – Dallas Mavericks (-189)
NBA Spread – Dallas Mavericks -4.5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 237 (-110)

Orlando Magic @ Phoenix Suns – 8PM ET

The Orlando Magic are on the Western Conference road trip, and after three consecutive losses, they managed to secure a win and beat the Sacramento Kings 123-112.

Still, the Magic are 10-17 at the moment, but they really didn’t have luck with injuries this year, and this record doesn’t reflect their value. Nikola Vucevic led the Magic with 42 points, game-high nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Michael Carter-Williams had 21 points, seven rebounds, and game-high seven dishes, while Terrence Ross put 18 points, five rebounds, and four dimes.

The Phoenix Suns are one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now as they won eight of the previous nine games. They are currently on a home stand and won each of the last five games, including the most recent one over the Philadelphia 76ers.

Devin Booker led the Suns in a 120-111 win with 36 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Chris Paul flirted with a triple-double as he posted 18 points, game-high ten dishes, and game-high eight boards, while Dario Saric added 15 points, five dimes, and game-high four thefts.

That win over Sacramento was surprising, and we don’t think the Magic can do it again. We’re going with the Suns to extend their winning streak to six games.

NBA Pick – Phoenix Suns (-400)
NBA Spread – Phoenix Suns -8.5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Under 213 (-110)

Memphis Grizzlies @ Sacramento Kings – 9PM ET

The Memphis Grizzlies are going through a rough period right now as they lost five of the previous six games, including the latest one to the Los Angeles Lakers on the road.

Memphis played well in the opening half and had a 12-point lead, but they allowed even 71 points in the second half and lost 115-105 in the end. Grayson Allen led the Grizzlies with 23 points.

Ja Morant recorded a double-double of 22 points and game-high ten assists, while Jonas Valanciunas had 22 points, team-high eight rebounds, and five dishes.

The Sacramento Kings are playing very well lately as they recorded seven wins in the previous ten games, but after a two straight home defeats to the Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic, they are looking to bounce back here.

Buddy Hield led the Kings in a 123-112 loss to Orlando with 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Hassan Whiteside contributed with 16 points and seven boards, Nemanja Bjelica added 15 points, game-high nine rebounds, and six dishes, while Tyrese Haliburton finished the game with 14 points and game-high seven assists.

Another close encounter on the cards, but we’re going with the Kings in this one.

NBA Pick – Sacramento Kings (+110)
NBA Spread – Sacramento Kings +1.5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 229.5 (-110)

Los Angeles Lakers @ Denver Nuggets – 10PM ET

Probably the most exciting game of the night will be played at Ball Arena in Denver when the reigning champions come to town. The Los Angeles Lakers responded to a two-game losing run with seven consecutive victories and improved to a 21-6 record.

However, that’s still not enough for a top spot in the Western Conference as the Utah Jazz are unstoppable at the moment. Following three straight overtime wins, the Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 115-105 in regulation.

Anthony Davis led them with 35 points, nine rebounds, and two steals. LeBron James was right behind with 28 points, nine boards, team-high eight assists, and two thefts, Kyle Kuzma posted a double-double of 20 points and game-high ten rebounds, while Montrezl Harrell had 14 points and seven boards.

The Denver Nuggets are definitely not playing as all of us expected them to prior to this season. Still, it seems that they are slowly getting back on track after a couple of home victories over the Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Denver is sitting in 7yh place in the West with a 14-11 record, but this team is surely much better than that. Nikola Jokic nearly recorded a triple-double in a 97-95 victory over the Thunder as he ended the clash with 22 points, game-high 13 rebounds, and game-high nine assists.

Jamal Murray also scored 22 points with five boards, five dimes, and two steals, while Michael Porter had 15 points and four rebounds. This one could go to the wire, but we are backing the Lakers to record the ninth win in 11 games against Denver.

NBA Pick – Los Angeles Lakers (-137)
NBA Spread – Los Angeles Lakers -2 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Under 215.5 (-110)

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Los Angeles Clippers – 10PM ET

The Cleveland Cavaliers are going through the worst period of the season as they suffered ten losses in the last 12 games. The Cavs lost each of the previous six, including all three on the current Western Conference road trip.

Collin Sexton led Cleveland in a 129-110 defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers with 25 points, team-high five assists, and two steals. Jarrett Allen chipped in with 22 points, six rebounds, and two blocks, Darius Garland scored 17 points with four dishes, while Dylan Windler recorded a double-double of 12 points and team-high ten boards.

The Los Angeles Clippers have the third-best record (19-8) in the West. They bounced back from a couple of losses with victories over the Minnesota Timberwolves and Chicago Bulls on the road.

Kawhi Leonard led the team in a 125-106 win over the Bulls with 33 points, team-high six rebounds, and two steals. Marcus Morris had 20 points and six boards, Lou Williams put 17 points and five dimes, while Ivica Zubac contributed with 12 points and four rebounds.

Although the Cavs have to shake off this poor form and return to winning ways, that is not going to happen in this game. We’re firmly backing the Clippers to get a victory.

NBA Pick – Los Angeles Clippers (-455)
NBA Spread – Los Angeles Clippers -10 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 219.5 (-110)
