The Portland Trail Blazers face the New York Knicks on Saturday afternoon at Madison Square. Seemingly in decent shape, the Blazers have emerged victorious in 4 out of the last 7 games played.

They will be aiming for their third consecutive win, having thrashed the Philadelphia 76ers in a thrilling 121-105 win last Thursday. Gary Trent Jr. was the man of the game, chipping in 24 points on 8/23 shooting.

Carmelo Anthony followed, adding 22 points and 5 assists. The first half saw the contest get really heated up, before things turned around for the Trail Blazers in the 3rd quarter.


Unfortunately, Damian Lillard had to sit out in this game, although he is expected to be back on Saturday. The New York Knicks, on the other hand, have been having a hard time keeping up, having lost 5 games out of the last 7 they have played.

However, after a long awaited win last Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls, they are aiming at rebuilding some momentum. Julius Randle led the Knicks, earning 27 points and 6 assists on 11/20 shooting.

Elfrid Payton chipped in with 20 more points, 4 assists and 8 rebounds. The Knicks started off well, leading with 19 points, then got even more aggressive at the second half, claiming the much needed victory.

Denver Nuggets @ Sacramento Kings – 5PM ET

The Sacramento Kings aim at keeping up score as they face Denver Nuggets at the Golden 1 Center on Saturday. The Kings will be getting into this game in great stead, having won the last two games.

Kings’ last 116-111 victory against Boston Celtics on Wednesday gives them great confidence that they will triumph over the Nuggets. The future games for Sacramento Kings won’t be offering them much of a rest seeing as they will most likely offer a challenge during playoff finishes.


During the game against the Celtics, De’Aaron Fox scored 26 points and dished 11 dimes, recording a double-double. The entire season has seen Fox showcase consistency, averaging 22.3 points-per-game.

Chicago Bulls @ Orlando Magic – 7PM ET

The Chicago Bulls meet Orlando Magic on Saturday for some hot NBA action at Amway Center. After losing 5 out of their last 6 games played, the Bulls really do need a win on Saturday.

After hosting Toronto Raptors this Friday, Brooklyn Nets will be on a back to back contest, playing against Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.

Brooklyn Nets have shown a remarkable improvement (14-9), after a 124-120 triumph over Los Angeles Clippers last Tuesday. Kyrie Irvin, earned the Nets 39 points.

Kevin Durant, Brooklyn’s top scorer averages 30.8 points-per-game and James Harden, the team’s leader in assists and rebounds averages 12.0 assists and 8.2 rebounds per game.

Toronto Raptors @ Atlanta Hawks – 8PM ET

The Toronto Raptors will join in on a back to back 2nd half contest as they face Atlanta Hawks at the State Farm Arena on Saturday, after playing Brooklyn Nets on Friday.

The Raptors might currently be at the bottom position in the Atlantic Division, but they have triumphed in two straight games. The team’s most recent win was a 123-108 victory over Orlando Magic.

On Tuesday, in a game against Charlotte Hornets, Fred VanVleet set a new franchise (Toronto) record, scoring 54 points. With this new record, Fred became Raptors’ top scorer recording an average  of 20.4 points, and 6.2 assists.


Kyle Lowry is the team’s top performer in assists, averaging 7.1 in a game and 17.4 points in average scores per game. The Hawks, currently at 10-12 are seemingly struggling, despite having tied at the top position with Charlotte Hornets, in the Southeast Division.

NBA action gets heated as Milwaukee Bucks head over to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to face Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bucks have won consecutively in their last few games, easily ranking second in scoring in the league.

The Bucks’ most recent victory was on Wednesday in a game against Indiana, where the team enjoyed a 17-points lead in the first half, ultimately cruising to a 130-110 lead.

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Oklahoma City Thunder – 8PM ET

The Minnesota Timberwolves are hoping to snap a two-game losing streak when traveling to play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.

The Oklahoma City Thunder look for its second consecutive victory when hosting Minnesota on Friday. The Thunder improved 9-11 following a 104-87 victory over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

Kenrich Williams was the leading scorer for Oklahoma City with 19 points and the Thunder bounced back from a loss of 30 points to Houston on Monday. Oklahoma City is fourth in the Northwest division 6 ½  games behind first-place Utah.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the leading scorer and leader in assists for Oklahoma City with averages of 21.8 points and 6.3 assists per game, while Darius Bazley is the leading rebounder with an average of 7.2 per game.

Oklahoma City has a lot of players pulling their weight with six players averaging double-figures in scoring. As well as this, the Thunder are scoring an average of 107.1 points per game while allowing an average of 114.1 points per game.
