Philadelphia 76ers @ Phoenix Suns – 3PM ET

The Philadelphia 76ers are still the best team in the eastern Conference and it will stay that way until the start of the next week, at least. They are currently at 18-8, ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets, and Boston Celtics, despite losing the latest game to the Portland Trail Blazers.

The perimeter shooting didn’t work for the Sixers, who made only six of 27 attempts (22.2%) and fell short 118-114. Joel Embiid led Philadelphia with 35 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks.

Ben Simmons nearly posted a triple-double as he ended with 23 points, 11 boards, and game-high nine assists, while Tobias Harris added 17 points, six rebounds, and five dimes.

The Phoenix Suns are improving in the West after getting their fourth consecutive victory, all four at home. Following a 125-114 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, the Suns climbed up to the 4th place with a 15-9 record.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 30 points and six rebounds. Chris Paul had 28 points, seven assists, and two steals, Deandre Ayton scored 17 points with seven boards, Mikal Bridges put 15, while Frank Kaminsky posted 14 points, eight rebounds, and team-high eight dishes.

It’s probably going to be the most balanced game of the night, but we’re going with the Suns because of their excellent form at the moment. It’s going to be tight, though.

NBA Pick – Phoenix Suns (-105)
NBA Spread – Phoenix Suns +1 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 226 (-110)

Indiana Pacers @ Atlanta Hawks – 7:30PM ET

After a bright start of the season, the Indiana Pacers are struggling at the moment. They suffered six defeats in the last eight games, but managed to snap a four-game losing skid with a 111-95 victory over the Detroit Pistons.

Domantas Sabonis helped his team to return to .500 (13-13) with 26 points, eight rebounds, game-high eight assists, game-high three steals, and two blocks.

Malcolm Brogdon added 18 points, game-high nine boards, and four dimes, Jeremy Lamb chipped in with 17 points, five rebounds, and two thefts, while Myles Turner had 14 points, eight boards, and two rejections.

The Atlanta Hawks are also going through a rough period of the season as they lost seven of the last ten games, including five of the previous six. Following the most recent 125-114 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs at home, the Hawks dropped to an 11-14 record, and are currently out of the playoffs in 9th place in the East.

Considering the talent they have on the roster, this is a poor result for them so far, but there is still room for improvement with two thirds of the campaign left.

Trae Young led them in a loss with 25 points. Rookie Skylar Mays scored a career-high 20 points, while Clint Capela recorded a double-double of 14 points and team-high 11 rebounds, along with a couple of blocks. Another tight clash on the cards, but this time around, we’re giving a slight advantage to the visitors.

NBA Pick – Indiana Pacers (-120)
NBA Spread – Indiana Pacers -1.5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – 226.5 (-110)

Houston Rockets @ New York Knicks – 8PM ET

Although it looked that the Houston Rockets blossomed after James Harden left to join the Brooklyn Nets, now they are in a bit of trouble. Four straight defeats and inefficient offense took them outside the playoff picture as they currently stand at an 11-14 record.

Houston scored miserable ten points in the third quarter in a 101-94 loss to the Miami Heat, and even though they improved in the final 12 minutes, it was too late. John Wall led the team with 17 points, team-high seven assists, and six rebounds.

Eric Gordon also scored 17 points with four dishes, DeMarcus Cousins posted a double-double of 16 points and team-high 11 boards, while Jae’Sean Tate had 16 points and seven rebounds.

The New York Knicks are playing above the expectations and they are a legit playoff contender, especially after acquiring Derrick Rose from the Detroit Pistons.

New York avoided the third loss in a row with a 109-91 victory over the Washington Wizards and improved to a 12-15 record. Julius Randle led the Knicks with a double-double of 24 points and game-high 18 rebounds, along with four assists.

Immanuel Quickley scored 16 points, Derrick Rose had 14 points and team-high six dimes, while Mitchell Robinson posted a double-double of ten points and 13 boards. Houston will be weakened in this game, so we’re going with the Knicks to get an edge.

NBA Pick – New York Knicks (+102)
NBA Spread – New York Knicks +1.5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 208.5 (-110)

Brooklyn Nets @ Golden State Warriors – 8:30PM ET

The Brooklyn Nets snapped a three-game losing skid with an atypical low-scoring win over the Indiana Pacers. It’s unusual since the Nets have the second most efficient team in the league that averages 120.4 points per game, and they scored only 104 in a 104-94 victory.

Brooklyn kept Indiana to just 30 points in the opening half, which was their best defensive half of the season. Kyrie Irvin led the team with 35 points, game-high eight assists, four rebounds, and two blocks.

James Harden recorded a double-double of 19 points and 11 boards, along with five dimes, Joe Harris scored 17, while DeAndre Jordan recorded a double-double of 12 points and game-high 13 rebounds, along with game-high three rejections.

The Golden State Warriors are very much alive in the playoff race as they currently stand at a 14-12 record, thanks to the recent couple of victories over the San Antonio Spurs and Orlando Magic.

Stephen Curry led them in a 111-105 win over Orlando with 40 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and game-high four steals. Andrew Wiggins had 21 points, seven boards, and three rejections, while Kelly Oubre Jr. posted a double-double of 17 points and team-high ten rebounds.

Draymond Green was his usual self with eight points, game-high 11 assists, six rebounds, and two blocks. Even though Golden State won eight of the previous ten H2H meetings, we’re going with Brooklyn and their Big 3 in this one.

NBA Pick – Brooklyn Nets (-164)
NBA Spread – Brooklyn Nets -4 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 240.5 (-110)

Miami Heat @ Utah Jazz – 9PM ET

The Miami Heat continued their recovery from a troublesome start of the campaign as they recorded four consecutive wins and improved to an 11-14 record. Although still outside the playoff picture, the Heat will be back among the top 8 in the east very soon.

The Heat’s defense improved recently and kept the opponents under 100 points in three of the last four games. Jimmy Butler led Miami in a 101-94 win over the Houston Rockets with a triple-double of 27 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists.

Max Strus scored 21, Kendrick Nunn had 16 points and five boards, Duncan Robinson added 15, while Bam Adebayo recorded a double-double of ten points and game-high 13 rebounds, along with eight dimes and two steals.

The Utah Jazz are the hottest team in the NBA right now. They won 17 of the previous 18 games, and are on a six-game winning streak. Rudy Gobert led them in a 129-115 win over the Milwaukee Bucks with a double-double of 27 points and team-high 12 rebounds, along with a game-high four blocks.

Joe Ingles also scored 27 with five assists, Donovan Mitchell contributed with 26 points, game-high eight dishes, and six boards, while Jordan Clarkson had 25 points, five assists, and four rebounds.

Utah seems unstoppable at the moment, and although Miami has a quality to stop them, we’re backing the hosts to get another victory.

NBA Pick – Utah Jazz (-192)
NBA Spread – Utah Jazz -5 (-110)
Total Points Pick – Over 217.5 (-110)
