Miami Heat @ Denver Nuggets – 8:30PM ET

The Miami Heat will be playing on only a couple days of rest after their incredible Eastern Conference Finals series against the Boston Celtics. Miami had several opportunities to close out the series after taking a three games to zero lead but they allowed Boston to come all the way back and tie the series as well as force a game seven. However, Miami prevailed in game number seven of the series, and now they will be looking to find a way to beat Denver in game number one of this NBA Finals series as well.

The Denver Nuggets made quick work of the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference finals and now they will look to open up the NBA finals with a victory after a lengthy rest. They say that an extended period of time off can sometimes turn into a negative for a sports team but after the gruelling series that Miami went through Denver is happy to have that type of rest coming into this one. When you add in the factors of the elevation in Denver, this game could easily turn into a one-sided blow out for the Nuggets. I don’t expect this to be a blowout, but I do expect Denver to get a comfortable victory here in game one.
