Dallas is playing on back-to-back days after falling short yesterday at American Airlines Center, falling to the Oklahoma City Thunder 117-111 in overtime. Luka Doncic had a triple double with 31 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists in defeat to lead the team. The Mavericks are the 10th seed in the Western Conference.
It’s the first meeting of the season between the teams. Orlando and Dallas split their matchups last season, each team winning one. The Magic earned the win in the last meeting 110-108 at Amway Center on January 30. Doncic had a triple double to top all players in scoring with 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists in the loss. Chuma Okeke had 19 points for the Magic.
Banchero is averaging 23.5 points per game to lead the Magic in scoring this season. Meanwhile, Wendell Carter Jr. is grabbing 9.3 rebounds per game, and Cole Anthony is dishing 4.3 assists.Doncic (35.2 ppg) has supplied much of the Mavs’ offense. He is the No. 1 scorer in the NBA.
Doncic has also posted 10.8 rebounds and 9.4 assists per game, for which he ranks ninth and fourth in the league, respectively. The Mavericks are averaging 118.6 points per game, ranking as one of the most explosive offenses in the league (3rd).The Magic are winless in their last 10 visits to American Airlines Center. Orlando is looking for a first victory away from Amway Center this season.
