Chicago won in impressive fashion on Friday at United Center, beating the Brooklyn Nets 131-87. Zach LaVine had 32 points and six rebounds to lead the team. The Bulls are 11th in the Eastern Conference.
This marks the last meeting of the season between the teams. Chicago will be looking to split the season series after earning the win in only one of the three prior meetings. Washington won the last showdown 100-97 at Capital One Arena on January 11. LaVine topped all players in scoring with 38 points in defeat.
Kyle Kuzma had 21 points for the Wizards, while Anthony Gill added 18 points. The Wizards have been led this season by Porzingis and Kuzma, who are averaging 22.8 and 21.4 points per game, respectively. Porzingis also has grabbed 8.6 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Monte Morris is dishing 5.3 assists per game.
DeMar DeRozan (25.2 ppg) and LaVine (24.1) have supplied much of the Bulls’ offense. DeRozan also has tallied 5.1 assists per game. Nikola Vucevic has pulled down 11.4 rebounds per game.
