Which Teams Have the Best Chance to Make the NBA Finals?
Fri 4th December 2020

You can bet on who you feel will reach the 2021 NBA Finals even before the season starts. Here’s a look at which teams you should review for your NBA Finals betting efforts.

Eastern Conference

Milwaukee Bucks +240

The Milwaukee Bucks are the favorites to win the Eastern Conference thanks to their team captain Giannis Antetokounmpo. But the Bucks may be going for broke this year, as there’s no guarantee that Giannis will return next season. Adding Jrue Holiday on the free agency line will help.

Brooklyn Nets +270

Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving want to become the next big-three tandem in the NBA. Whether they and new Nets head coach Steve Nash will bring success to Brooklyn remains unclear, but this team will be an exciting one to watch.

Boston Celtics +550

The Boston Celtics haven’t been in the NBA Finals since 2010, but the team has a good chance to get back there once more. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are great captains, but general manager Danny Ainge will need to be active during the trade deadline if he wants the Celtics to reach that next level.

Miami Heat +700

While the Miami Heat had a strong performance in the playoff bubble in Orlando, there remains uncertainty as to whether the Heat could pull that off in a traditional environment. But you can expect improvement from Tyler Herro and Goran Dragic this season.

Toronto Raptors +750

The Raptors have a strong base with Kyle Lowry, Pascal Siakam, and Fred VanVleet. But there also exists uncertainty with the team, as it is unclear if they will be allowed to play in Toronto anytime soon. The Raptors are starting the season with Tampa as their temporary home.

Western Conference

Los Angeles Lakers +145

It’s no surprise that the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers would be the favorites to reach the NBA Finals in the west. It’s hard to bet against LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Adding Dennis Schroeder to the lineup this year will help make the Lakers all the more competitive.

Los Angeles Clippers +300

The Clippers fell out of the playoffs in dramatic fashion last year, leading to the team bringing in Tyronn Lue as its new coach. Kawhi Leonard will be the most prominent performer for the Clippers this season, but the departure of Montrezl Harrell to the Lakers will not do the Clippers any good. At least Marcus Morris will be sticking around for the season.

Denver Nuggets +900

The odds in the west for NBA Finals betting drop once you leave Los Angeles, but the Denver Nuggets have a good shot. Paul Millsap signed a one-year deal to stay in Colorado, but there’s no guarantee he will stick around after that.

Dallas Mavericks +1000

The Mavericks will only go as far as Kristaps Porzingis can take them. The Mavs are hoping he doesn’t experience any further injuries.

Golden State Warriors +1200

The Warriors are aiming to make a comeback as Stephen Curry returns from injury. But the season-ending injury to Klay Thompson will hurt the team’s odds.

*Note: All odds entail who will win their respective conferences and are as of December 2, 2020. These odds may be subject to change.
