The Phoenix Suns advance to the NBA Finals after defeating the Los Angeles Clippers

The Phoenix Suns dominated Game Six to win the Western Conference Finals and advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993. Phoenix scored their highest tally for the series, beating the Los Angeles Clippers 130-103 in the elimination game.

Setting the tone early, Phoenix only trailed for 11 seconds in the entire game, leading 33-29 after the first quarter and never looking back. The Suns scored 33 again in the second, keeping LA to just 28 and taking a nine point lead into halftime.

They then turned it on in the second half, winning the third period by five points before a massive 33-20 last quarter put the cherry on top. Phoenix shot an incredible 17-31 (54.8%) from behind the arc for the game, blowing the Clippers out of the water.

After 41 points in Game Five to keep his side alive, Paul George managed just 21 points on 6-15 shooting from the field, with Phoenix’s defense stepping up the physicality. This allowed Marcus Morris Sr to step up to lead the way for LA, scoring a team high 26 points, but ultimately it wasn’t enough.

Devin Booker put up 22 points and seven rebounds while Deandre Ayton had a monster performance with 16 points, 17 rebounds and two blocks but the night belonged to Chris Paul.

The win meant that the 16-year veteran has advanced to the NBA Finals for the first time in his career and he played like he wanted it real bad. Shooting 16-24 (66.7%) from the field and a blistering hot 7-8 (87.5%) from three, Paul ended up with a season high and equal playoff career high 41 points, adding eight assists, four rebounds, three steals and no turnovers with it.

The Suns have now advanced to the NBA Finals and will have home court advantage in the series, giving them a big boost. They now wait and watch eagerly to find out who they will host, either the Milwaukee Bucks or Atlanta Hawks.

Superstar Chris Paul put up 41 points and Devin Booker recorded 22 points to see the Phoenix Suns clinch the NBA Finals with a 130-103 game 6 victory over the LA Clippers.

Marcus Morris finished with 26 points, together with the LA Clippers’ player, Paul George earning 21 points as they were being knocked out of the playoff series, losing to the Phoenix Suns in game 6 on Thursday night with the series ending.

The first quarter concludes in an amazing performance, as both teams remain squared on points, and the second quarter finished with a 57-66 result.

With the conclusion of the third quarter the Phoenix Suns dominated in high fashion with 20-28 run. After, the Suns went into the fourth quarter to extend their lead margin and win the game in extremely high fashion.

The road to the Western Conference Finals seems to be in favor of the Phoenix Suns after defeating the mighty the LA Clippers to take them to the NBA Finals.
