Star Philadelphia 76ers’ centre Joel Embiid will not play in tomorrow night’s grudge match against the Celtics due to a gruesome finger injury on Monday’s in a 120-113 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Embiid suffered a dislocated left ring finger according to the team and multiple videos on Twitter.
He stayed in the game, and actually ended up playing 32 minutes, but said afterwards that he had some difficulty going up for rebounds with his finger taped the way it was.
The 76ers are currently 4.5 point outsiders at home against Boston, despite their formidable record at the Wells Fargo Centre.
