Hot-hitting Lourdes Gurriel Jr. will be looking to extend his 12-game hitting streak as the Arizona Diamondbacks (28-20) face off against the Philadelphia Phillies (22-25) at Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday.
The Diamondbacks took Monday’s series opener 6-3. Tommy Henry got the win, giving up two runs on four hits over 5.2 innings, and Andrew Chafin struck out the side in the ninth to earn his seventh save.
Gurriel Jr. was 4 for 4 with a home run and a double in the win. He drove in two runs. Kyle Schwarber went 1 for 3 with a solo home run for the Phillies. Bryson Stott added a home run and two runs.

Ryne Nelson (1-2, 5.48 ERA) is slated for the start for Arizona. The RHP threw 5.1 scoreless innings in his last start, a 5-3 home win over the Athletics on Wednesday. He scattered one hit while striking out six and walking four in the no-decision.
