ON THE MOUND
Bryan Woo (0-1, 27.00 ERA) is slated for the start for Seattle. The right-hander allowed six runs over two innings in his last start, a 16-6 road defeat against the Rangers on June 3.
He was charged with the loss, yielding seven hits while striking out four and walking one. Lefty Patrick Sandoval (3-5, 4.14 ERA) will toe the rubber for Los Angeles.
It’s his first appearance of the season against the Mariners. Sandoval made three appearances against the Mariners in 2022, all as the starter, striking out 16 and walking eight over 16.1 innings (0-0, 1.10).
In his last start on June 3, Sandoval took the loss on the road against the Astros. He threw 3.1 innings and gave up six runs on eight hits, striking out four and walking three in the 9-6 defeat.
