Arizona Diamondbacks @ Miami Marlins – 12:40PM ET

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Miami Marlins will be playing the finale of their three game series in this one. In game number one Arizona got the win by a score of 5-4, in game number two it was the Diamondbacks who got the win to clinch the series.

Tony Battalio

The Arizona Diamondbacks have a shot to get a three game sweep over the Miami Marlins if they can win this series finale on Wednesday. Arizona is having somewhat of a rough start to the year as they will come into this game with a record of 12-13 through their first 25 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. However, they will look to get back to an even .500 with a win in this one. Taking the mound for them in this game will be Madison Bumgarner who is 1-1 on the season with an Earned Run Average of 1.17.

The Miami Marlins will be looking to get a win in this series finale and salvage a little bit of momentum after losing the first two games of the series by identical scores of 5-4. The Marlins, much like the Arizona Diamondbacks are also having a rough start to the season as they are coming into this game with a record of 12-11 through their first 23 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. Taking the mound for the Marlins in this one will be Elieser Hernandez who is 2-1 on the season and has a 5.75 Earned Run Average. As for the result of this one I am taking Arizona to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks (+130)

Jeffery Thomas

The Arizona Diamondbacks once again came into the Marlins’ arena and got the surprise win on Tuesday night by the score of 5-4. This comes after winning the day before by the same score and they are now on the brink of their first series sweep of the season. They will need to win this game on Wednesday but with the fast starts they have been getting out to I don’t see a reason why they can’t do it again. The Marlins are now on a three-game losing streak and are still searching for their first win of the month of May.

The Diamondbacks are turning to one of their best options in this series finale in Madison Bumgarner who has an ERA of just 1.17 on the year. He will be able to neutralize the Marlins’ bats early on before they get to the bullpen late for a rally like they’ve done in Games 1 and 2. Because of how those games have gone I’m going to take the Diamondbacks to get a fast start again and to be leading at the end of 5 innings.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks’ first 5 Innings (+116)

Marko Nadin

The Miami Marlins have surprised many with their good start of the season as they are second in the NL East with a 12-11 record. After winning seven consecutive games, they have lost the last three including back-to-back losses by the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Marlins are ranked 18th in the league with 4.01 runs per game and 11th allowing 3.84. They will start Elieser Hernandez tonight who is 2-1 for the season with a 5.75 ERA. Miami has won 5 of the last 7 games against teams with a losing record.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are at the bottom of the NL West with a 12-13 record. They won the last two games against Miami by 5-4 in both of them after coming from a 2-2 series tie against the Cardinals and 2-1 series win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Diamondbacks are 25th in the league scoring 3.38 runs per game and 14th allowing 4.07 runs per game. They will start Madison Bumgarner tonight who is 1-1 for the season with a 1.17 ERA. Arizona has lost 79 of the last 105 games against a team with a winning record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Miami Marlins (-154)

Atlanta Braves @ New York Mets – 1:10PM ET

The Atlanta Braves and New York Mets will be playing the finale of their four game series in this one. As they played a double header on Tuesday. On Monday the Braves opened up the series with a win. In game one of the double header the Mets got the victory. In game number two it was the Mets who got another win to clinch at least a share of the series.

Tony Battalio

The Atlanta Braves are looking to grab a split in this four game series after they lost both games of a doubleheader on Tuesday. They won the opening game on Monday and now they will have to find a way to get the win in the finale on Wednesday to salvage some momentum heading into the weekend. The Braves are experiencing a bit of a World Series hangover as they come into this game with a record of 11-15 through their first 26 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The New York Mets will be looking to capitalize off of the momentum they gained by sweeping the doubleheader on Tuesday. They have clinched at least a share of the season and they will be looking for an outright win with another victory here on Wednesday afternoon. They are the hottest team in baseball at the moment as they come into this game with a record of 18-8 through their first 26 games of the season. As for the result of this one, I am going with the New York Mets to get another win to clinch the series win in this four game set.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-142)

Jeffery Thomas

The New York Mets and Atlanta Braves will play the series finale of their four-game series Wednesday afternoon in New York. The Mets swept the doubleheader on Tuesday winning 5-4 and then 3-0 later in the day. These wins combined with the second-place Marlins losing helped the Mets extend their lead in the NL East out to four games. The defending champion Braves are still adjusting to life with a target on them and without Freddie Freeman, as they sit just 11-15 in the early going.

In this game the Mets will turn to Tyler Megill to go out on the mound and win this series over their rival Braves. Megill is 4-0 on the season with a 1.93 ERA and he will be opposed by Ian Anderson who has struggled early on. His ERA sits at 4.66 and that doesn’t bode well against one of the best teams in the entire league. The Mets will get another stellar pitching performance and get just enough runs to win their third straight in this series and close it out with the near sweep.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-142)

Marko Nadin

The New York Mets have started the season very well as they are on top of the NL East with a 18-8 record, the second-best in the league after their city rivals, the Yankees. The Mets have won the last two games against the defending champions Atlanta Braves after losing the first one in the series. The Mets are 8th in the league scoring 4.58 runs per game and they are second with .257 AVG. The Mets will start Tylor Megil tonight who has a perfect start of the season with a 4-0 record and a 1.93 ERA.

Coming in as defending champions, the Atlanta Braves have a tough start as they are 4th in the NL East with a 11-15 record. The Braves have lost 4 of the last 5 games including the last two to the Mets. They are 19th in the league scoring 3.89 runs per game and are ranked 23rd allowing 4.48 runs per game. The Braves will have Ian Anderson tonight on the mound who is 2-1 for the season with a 4.66 ERA.

Marko’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-142)

Seattle Mariners @ Houston Astros – 2:10PM ET

The Seattle Mariners vs Houston Astros will be playing the finale of their three game series in this one. In game number one the Astros picked up the victory. In game number two it was the Astros who got the win to clinch the series.

Tony Battalio

The Seattle Mariners will be looking for a victory in the finale of this series to regain some momentum heading into the first weekend of May. Seattle is off to a somewhat decent start this season as they are a young team with a ton of potential. They come into this game with a record of 12-12 through their first 24 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. Despite the slow start this team is still very capable of some special things and it will be interesting to see how their season turns out.

The Houston Astros are expected to be one of the best teams in Major League Baseball this season. They are coming off of a World Series loss to the Atlanta Braves and are expected to be right back in the World Series this season. However, they are having a slow start to the year as they come into this game with a record of 13-11 through their first 24 games of the year. They have already clinched the series win in this one and will be going for a sweep in this final game. As for the result of this one however, I don’t see that happening as I have Seattle getting the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Seattle Mariners (+166)

Jeffery Thomas

The Seattle Mariners and Houston Astros will close out their three game series with a Wednesday afternoon game in Texas. The Astros have dominated the first two games and actually haven’t even allowed a goal yet, winning both games 3-0 and 4-0. It’s been a true struggle for the Mariners who started the season off with some promise, but have now lost six of their last seven games.

These two teams are heading in opposite directions, as the Astros have now racked up 6 wins in their last 8 games and are finding that groove and have almost caught the Angels in the AL West division race. I expect them to finish out this sweep before hosting the Detroit Tigers for a four-game set.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-198)

Marko Nadin

The Houston Astros are second in the AL West with a 13-11 record. They have a perfect start of the series against Seattle without allowing any run in the first two games. The Astros are third in the league hitting 1.21 home runs per game and are ranked 21st with 3.78 scored runs per game. The Astros will start Justin Verlander tonight who is 2-1 for the season with a 1.73 ERA. The Astros have won 4 of the last 5 games as favorites but have lost 6 of the last 8 third games of a series.

The Seattle Mariners are third in the AL West with a 12-12 record. They have lost 6 of the last 7 games. Seattle is 9th in the league scoring 4.57 runs per game and are 8th defensively allowing 3.81 runs per game. The Mariners will start Matt Brash tonight who is 1-2 for the season with a 6.88 ERA. Seattle has 15 of the last 21 games against AL West teams and 7 of the last 10 games played on Wednesday.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-198)

Tampa Bay Rays @ Oakland Athletics – 3:37PM ET

The Tampa Bay Rays and the Oakland Athletics will be playing the finale of their three game series in this one. In game number one the Rays picked up the victory. In game number two it was the Rays who got the win to clinch the series.

Tony Battalio

The Tampa Bay Rays seem to finally be getting back on track. As they have won the first two games of this series and clinched the win heading into the finale as they will be looking to complete the sweep on Wednesday. The Rays are coming into this game with a record of 14-10 through their first 24 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently in third place in the American League East division.

The Oakland Athletics had a surprisingly decent start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. However, that optimism quickly faded as they now come into this game with a record of 10-14 through their first 24 games of the year. They have lost their last five games in a row as their lack of spending has finally caught up to them both in the stands, on the field and on the scoreboard at the end of each game. As for the result of this game I’m going with the Tampa Bay Rays to complete the sweep.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Tampa Bay Rays (-124)

Jeffery Thomas

The Tampa Bay Rays and Oakland Athletics will wrap up their three-game series with this Wednesday afternoon game. The Rays will hope to continue racking up wins to keep pace in the competitive AL East, which they are currently in 3rd place in. The Rays won the division the last two years but with the emergence and fast starts of the Yankees and Blue Jays that reign is in serious danger. The As are also in a very competitive division, the AL West, where they are in 4th place but just 4 games back with a lot of baseball left to be played this season.

Both teams are throwing out capable starters with the Rays turning to Corey Kluber and Oakland going with Frankie Montas. However, the recent play and momentum all sit with Tampa who is also the better team in almost every aspect.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Tampa Bay Rays (-124)

Marko Nadin

The Oakland Athletics are 4th in the AL West with a 10-14 record. They have lost the last five games, a three-game series sweep against the Cleveland Guardians and back-to-back losses to open the series against the Rays. Oakland is 22nd in the league with 3.77 runs per game and 15th allowing 4.15 runs per game. The Athletics will start Frankie Montas tonight who is 2-2 for the season with a  4.25 ERA. Oakland has won 24 of the last 34 games played on Wednesday but have lost the last 5 road games.

The Tampa Bay Rays are third in the AL East with a 14-10 record. They have won the first two games of the series against Oakland after falling 2-1 in the series against the Minnesota Twins. Tampa Bay is ranked 14th in the league scoring 4.28 runs per game and are ranked 18th allowing 4.19 runs per game. The Rays will start Corey Kluber who is 1-1 for the season with a 3.55 ERA. Tampa Bay has won 5 of the last 6 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Oakland Athletics (+106)

New York Yankees @ Toronto Blue Jays – 7PM ET

The New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays will be playing the finale of their three game series in this one. In game number one the Yankees picked up the victory. In game number two it was the Yankees who got the win to clinch the series.

Tony Battalio

The New York Yankees are coming into this game with a record of 18-6, as they are the best team in Major League Baseball at the moment. They have been on fire through their first 24 games of the season. They have already got the series win clinched and now they have an opportunity to pick up a series sweep with another win in the finale of Wednesday. Their winning streak has now reached 11 games as they have a +50 run difference and they are pulling away from the pack in the American League.

The Toronto Blue Jays are expected to be one of the best teams in Major League Baseball this season. However, they are having a tough time with the red hot New York Yankees at the moment, as they have lost the first two games of this three game series. They will be looking to salvage some momentum in the finale by getting a win and snapping the Yankees double digit winning streak as well. However, I don’t see that happening as I think the Yankees are just too hot to lose right now.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-138)

Jeffery Thomas

The New York Yankees kept their hot streak going and got their 11th consecutive win on Tuesday, taking down the Toronto Blue Jays 9-1. Aaron Judge drove in 3 runs and hit a homer, while Giancarlo Stanton added a home run of his own in the 9th inning. The Yankees lead all of baseball with 34 homers this season, including 23 during this winning streak. Jameson Taillon had a quality outing for the Yanks, only allowing one run in six innings as they got their record up to 18-6 on the season. That is good for 3.5 games ahead of the second-place Blue Jays who are now 15-10 on the year.

Both teams at their peak level can put up some ridiculous offensive numbers but we are only seeing that from the Yankees right now. The Jays are averaging just two runs a game in their last 4, while the Yankees are averaging almost seven. This is a train that we are going to continue to ride until the wheels fall off because they have been firing on all cylinders lately and I don’t see them losing.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-138)

Marko Nadin

The Toronto Blue Jays are second in the AL East with a 15-10 record. They lost the first two games in the series against the New York Yankees after coming off a 2-1 series win against the Houston Astros. The Blue Jays are second in the league hitting 1.29 home runs per game but rank 20th in the league with 3.83 runs per game. Toronto will start Yusei Kikuchi tonight who is 0-1 for the season with a 5.52 ERA. The Blue Jays have won 5 of the last 6 games against a left-handed pitcher.

The New York Yankees are on top of the AL East with the best record in the league of 18 wins and 6 losses. The Yankees have won the last 11 games. Their last loss was on April 20th against the Cleveland Guardians. The Yankees are ranked third in the league scoring 4.90 runs per game and are second allowing 2.82 runs per game. New York will start Nestor Cortes tonight who is 1-0 for the season with a 1.31 ERA. The Yankees have won 14 of the last 17 games as favorites and the last 4 on the road.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (+118)
