Toronto Blue Jays @ Kansas City Royals – 2:10PM ET

The Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals will be playing the third and final game of their three game weekday series in this one. The Blue Jays have already clinched the series after winning the first two games. Now they will be going for the sweep on Wednesday.

Tony Battalio

The Toronto Blue Jays have bounced back in a huge way after their rough series over the weekend against the Minnesota Twins. They have won the first two games of this series by a combined fifteen to zero and now they will be looking to secure the sweep over the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday afternoon. They will coming into this game with a record of 33-22 through their first 55 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Kansas City Royals are down bad at the moment. They are coming into the finale of this game twenty games below the .500 mark at the moment, as they currently sit in last place of the American League Central division. They are currently on a three game losing streak and have won only two out of their last eight games on the season and are 13.5 games out of first place in the division. As for the result of this game I am going with the Toronto Blue Jays to get the win and complete the sweep.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (-154)

Jeffery Thomas

The Toronto Blue Jays and Kansas City Royals will be playing their series finale on Wednesday as the Royals look to avoid the sweep. In fact, Kansas City will be looking to just score a run as they’ve been shutout in both games so far and outscored 15-0. It’s been total domination by the Blue Jays and given how this season has gone for the Royals it’s expected to continue on Wednesday.

The talent gap between these teams is clear to anyone who pays attention and it would take a miracle for Toronto to not easily win this series finale. Brady Singer is taking the mound for the Royals and are coming off a 7 run outing. This one could get ugly quick.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 (+114)

Marko Nadin

The Kansas City Royals are on the bottom of the AL Central with a 17-35 record. They have lost 8 of the last 9 games including the first two of the series against the Toronto Blue Jays. Kansas City is ranked 26th in the league scoring only 3.71 runs per game and 27th allowing 5.54 runs per game. The Royals will start Brady Singer tonight who is 2-1 for the season with a 4.15 ERA. Kansas City has lost 205 of the last 305 games against teams with a winning record and 119 of the last 172 third games of a series.

The Toronto Blue Jays are second in the AL East with a 33-22 record. They have won 11 of the last 13 games and are coming off back-to-back wins over the Kansas City Roylas without allowing any runs in those two games. The Blue Jays are 14th in the league scoring 4.47 runs per game and are ranked 9th with 4.01 allowed runs per game. Toronto will start Yusei Kikuchi tonight who is 2-2 for the season with a 3.91 ERA. The Blue Jays have won 8 of the last 9 games against a right-handed pitcher and 4 of the last 5 road games as favorites.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (-154)

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Cincinnati Reds – 6:40PM ET

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Cincinnati Reds will be playing the third game of their four game weekday series in this one. The Cincinnati Reds have already won the first two games of this series and clinched at least a share of this series victory.

Tony Battalio

The Arizona Diamondbacks will be looking to get their first win of this series here in game three of this series on Wednesday evening. They are coming into this game with a record of 26-31 through their first 57 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently in fourth place of the National League West division and find themselves on a four game losing streak. They have won only three out of their last ten games on the year and will be looking to bounce back here in this game.

The Cincinnati Reds are on a bit of a hot streak at the moment as they have won their last two games in a row. They come into this game with a record of 20-35 through their first 55 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are still in last place of the National League Central division. They have won five out of their last ten games on the year. As for the result of this game I am going with the Cincinnati Reds to pick up the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Cincinnati Reds (-118)

Jeffery Thomas

Things weren’t going well for the Cincinnati Reds heading into this series with the Arizona Diamondbacks but they have seemed to like this matchup a lot. They’ve won the first two games of this series in blowout fashion and will hope to keep that momentum rolling these final two games against Arizona.

The pitching matchup doesn’t set the Reds up for success in this game though, as they will send out Mike Minor for his second start of the year. He was tagged pretty hard by the Washington Nationals in his first start, giving up three home runs and five earned runs in just four innings of work. Merrill Kelly for the Backs is a much more reliable guy on the mound and should be able to put a halt to this losing streak that Arizona is being handed.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks (+100)

Marko Nadin

The Cincinnati Reds are at the bottom of the NL Central with a 20-35 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games but are coming off two consecutive wins against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Cincinnati is 9th in the league scoring 4.71 runs per game and is ranked 28th in the league allowing 5.58 runs per game. The Reds will start Mike Minor tonight who is 0-1 for the season with an 11.25 ERA. Cincinnati has lost 9 of the last 13 games as favorites and 37 of the last 52 games against teams from the NL West.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are fourth in the NL West with a 26-31 record. They have lost 4 consecutive games including the opening two of the series against the Cincinnati Reds. The Diamondbacks are 25th in the league scoring 3.95 runs per game and 25th allowing 4.95 runs per game. Arizona will start Merrill Kelly tonight who is 4-3 for the season with a 3.66 ERA. Arizona has lost 42 of the last 59 games against left-handed pitchers and 67 of the last 90 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks (+100)

Chicago Cubs @ Baltimore Orioles – 7:05PM ET

The Chicago Cubs and Baltimore Orioles will be playing the second and final game of their two game weekday series in this one. In game number one of this series the Baltimore Orioles picked up the victory.

Tony Battalio

The Chicago Cubs will be looking to bounce back after their 9-3 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday evening. Now they will be looking to avoid being swept here in the short two game series finale on Wednesday evening. It’s been a rough year for the Cubs and they are a long way removed from the same team in 2016 that won an incredible seven game World Series. They come into this game with a record of 23-33 through their first 56 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Baltimore Orioles will be looking to complete the sweep in this game. They come into this game with a record of 24-33 through their 57 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in last place of the American League Central division as they trail the New York Yankees by nearly 20 games in early June. As for the result of this game I am going with the Baltimore Orioles to get the win and complete the sweep.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles (+112)

Jeffery Thomas

The Baltimore Orioles started off their series with the Chicago Cubs by sending their fans home happy after a 9-3 victory. This win was sparked by a power surge that saw the Os hit five homers as a team. It was also their first victory over the Cubs in seven tries since 2008 so it’s been a long time coming in this matchup.

The Cubs will want to swing things back in their favor on Wednesday, in the finale of this quick two-game series. The man for the job is going to be Marcus Stroman who is 2-5 with a 5.32 ERA. Jordan Lyles and his 4.50 ERA will oppose him which should set us up for a lot of runs being scored. I like the over to hit again as it did on Tuesday as both pitching staffs are not in good form at the moment.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Over total runs (-120)

Marko Nadin

The Baltimore Orioles are at the bottom of the AL East with a 24-33 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games but are coming off a 9-3 win last night over the Chicago Cubs. The Orioles are 24th in the league scoring 3.97 runs per game and are ranked 2st in the league allowing 4.58 runs per game. Baltimore will start Jordan Lyles tonight who is 3-4 for the season with a 4.50 ERA. The Orioles have lost 9 of the last 13 interleague games as underdogs and 81 of the last 114 games against a right-handed starter.

The Chicago Cubs are fourth in the NL Central with a 23-33 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games including the loss o=to the Oriolees in the series opener. The Cubs are 13th in the league scoring 4.49 runs per game and are ranked 24th allowing 4.83 runs per game. The Cubs will start Marcus Stroman tonight who is 2-5 for the season with a 5.32 ERA. The Cubs have won 9 of the last 12 games against AL East teams and have lost 16 of the last 21 games against teams with a losing record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Chicago Cubs (-132)

Oakland Athletics @ Atlanta Braves – 7:20PM ET

The Oakland Athletics and Atlanta Braves will be playing the second and final game of their two game weekday series in this one. The Atlanta Braves got the win in game one and now they will be looking to complete the sweep here in game two.

Tony Battalio

The Oakland Athletics are struggling both on and off the field at the moment. They are having trouble attracting fans to the ballpark and it may have to do something with the fact that they have the lowest payroll in Major League Baseball. They come into this game with a record of 20-37 through their first 57 games of the season. They are in last place in the American League West division.

The defending World Series champions are coming into this game with a record of 29-27 through their first 56 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are experiencing a bit of a World Series hangover so far this season but are treading water and staying above .500 at the moment. They are currently on a six game winning streak at the moment. They have won seven out of their last ten games. As for the result of this game I am going with the Atlanta Braves to pick up the victory in this one.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Atlanta Braves (-235)

Jeffery Thomas

The Atlanta Braves were able to squeak out a 3-2 victory on Tuesday over the Oakland Athletics to push their winning streak out to 6 games. Kyle Wright gave up a quick two-run bomb early but recovered in a big way, not allowing anything else in his 8 innings of work. Guillermo Heredia hit the go-ahead homer to lead off the seventh inning that proved to be the decider and now the defending champs move to 2 games over .500 at 29-27 after a slow start.

Their chances to extend this winning streak are looking pretty good as Oakland is already the second-worst team in the American League and will be sending out 28-year-old rookie Jared Koenig to start on Wednesay. There’s no reason to believe he will fare well against this vaulted lineup and I think the Braves will feast in this comfortable win.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Atlanta Braves -1.5 (-118)

Marko Nadin

The Atlanta Braves are second in the NL East with a 29-27 record. They have won the last six games including the series opener against the Oakland Athletics. The defending champions are 17th in the league scoring 4.43 runs per game and are ranked 17th in the league allowing 4.34 runs per game. The Braves will start Ian Anderson tonight who is 4-3 for the season with a 4.70 ERA. Atlanta has won 4 of the last 5 games as home favorite and 7 of the last 9 second games of a series.

The Oakland Athletics are at the bottom of the AL West with a 20-37 record. They have lost the last 7 games scoring over 2 runs in only one game in that span. The Athletics are second to last in the league scoring 3.31 runs per game and are 19th in the league allowing 4.46 runs per game. Oakland will start Jared Koenig who will make his season debut tonight. The Athletics have won 5 of the last 6 road games against right-handed starter and have lost 11 of the last 15 games against teams from the AL East.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Oakland Athletics (+194)

Philadelphia Phillies @ Milwaukee Brewers – 8:10PM ET

The Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers will be playing the second game of their three game weekday series in this one. In game number one it was the Phillies who got the win. Now they will be looking to clinch the series victory here in game two on Wednesday.

Tony Battalio

The Philadelphia Phillies got a huge win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday evening. They are coming into the second game of this series with a record of 26-29 through their first 54 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in third place of the National League East division and have won five games in a row. They have also won five out of their last ten on the season as well and will be looking to extend their streak in this one.

The Milwaukee Brewers are coming into this game with a record of 33-24 through their first 57 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. However, they are currently on a four game losing streak at the moment and will be looking to snap it in this middle game against the Phillies. They have won four out of their last ten games on the year. As for the result of this game I am going with the Milwaukee Brewers to pick up the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers (+120)

Jeffery Thomas

The Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers started up their series on Tuesday and the series opener did not disappoint. Milwaukee was clinging on to a narrow one-run lead entering the top of the 9th inning before giving up two home runs and the lead. Now trailing by one, the Brewers were able to load up the bases in their half of the inning but couldn’t bring home that tying run and lost 3-2. They’ll now get back out there on Wednesday and try to end that losing streak.

Neither team has an edge in the pitching department for this game but these are two teams heading in different directions right now. The Phillies have won five straight while the Brewers have lost four straight and the vibes around the Phillies right now is just good enough for me to continue riding the wave. Milwaukee’s offense is broken right now and I can’t back them until they give me a reason to which they haven’t recently.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Philadelphia Phillies (-142)

Marko Nadin

The Milwaukee Brewers are on top of NL Central with a 33-24 record. They have lost the last 4 games including the series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Brewers are 16th in the league scoring 4.43 runs per game and are ranked 8th in the league allowing 3.99 runs per game. Adrian Houser will be the starting pitcher for the Brewers tonight who is 3-5 for this season with a 3.51 ERA. Milwaukee has won 5 of the last 6 games as underdog and 14 of the last 19 home games against a right-handed pitcher.

The Philadelphia Phillies are third in the NL East with a 26-29 record. They have won the last 5 games and came into the series against the Brewers after a 3-0 sweep over the Los Angeles Angels. The Phillies are 8th in the league scoring 4.77 runs per game and 18th in the league allowing 4.42 runs per game. Aaron Nola will be the Phillies’ starter tonight who is 3-4 for the season with a 3.92 ERA. Philadelphia has lost 10 of the last 14 games against a right-handed starter and 5 of the last 6 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers (+120)
