Miami Marlins @ Philadelphia Phillies – 1:05PM ET

The Miami Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. The Philadelphia Phillies picked up the win in game one, and in game two the Marlins evened up the series to make this third game a winner take all affair.

Tony Battalio

The Miami Marlins picked up a big win on Tuesday evening to even up this series with their National League East divisional rivals. Now the Marlins have an opportunity to win their second game in a row and clinched the series victory and grab what could be a huge momentum boost for them heading into the middle of June. The win improves the Marlins record to 28-32 through their first 60 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Philadelphia Phillies had plenty of opportunities to grab the victory on Tuesday evening but unfortunately for them, they fell just short, losing by a score of eleven to nine after nine hard-fought innings. They found themselves down 0-4 in the first before exploding for eight runs in the middle of the game. However, they once again gave up the lead, which led to the loss. Now they will be looking to bounce back heading into the series finale with a record of 31-31 through 62 games on the season. As for the result of this game, I’m going with the Phillies to pick up the victory and take the series as well.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Philadelphia Phillies

Jeffery Thomas

The Miami Marlins had an epic 11-9 comeback victory on Tuesday to even up their series with the Philadelphia Phillies. Jesus Aguilar had four RBI in the win, including the go-ahead double in the 9th inning to push his guys over the top in this divisional battle. It was a high-scoring fun battle and I think we will see more of the same come the series finale on Wednesday.

Kyle Gibson hasn’t been lights out recently for the Phillies and the Marlins will be deploying a bullpen game against this red-hot Philly offense. We should see plenty of runs here to get us to cash the over once again.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Over Runs

Marko Nadin

The Philadelphia Phillies are third in the NL East with a 31-31 record. They have won 10 of the last 12 games and are coming off a 11-9 loss last night to the Marlins. The Phillies are 5th in the league scoring 4.91 runs per game and 20th in the league allowing 4.47 runs per game. Kyle Gibson will be the Phillies’ starter tonight who is 4-2 for the season with a 4.41 ERA. Philadelphia has won the last 7 games against a right-handed starter and 7 of the last 8 home games as favorites.

The Miami Marlins are fourth in the NL East with a 28-32 record. They have won 5 of the last 7 games and have split the first two games of the series against the Phillies. Miami is ranked 10th in the league scoring 4.68 runs per game and 14th in the league allowing 4.28 runs per game. Braxton Garrett will start for the Marlins tonight who is 1-1 for the season with a 4.00 ERA. Miami has won 17 of the last 25 games against NL East teams and 5 of the last 7 games on grass.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Philadelphia Phillies

Houston Astros @ Texas Rangers – 2:05PM ET

The Houston Astros and Texas Rangers  will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. The Texas Rangers picked up the win in game one, and in game two the Astros got the victory to officially even the series and set up a chance for a series victory in this one.

Tony Battalio

The Houston Astros coming to this one looking to extend their lead over the Texas Rangers in the American League West division. They have already taken one out of two games against their in-state rivals, and they will be looking to complete the series victory here on Wednesday. They enter this matchup with a record of 38-24 through their first 62 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won four out of their last ten games on the year as they have used this series as a bit of a bounce back opportunity.

The Rangers struggles early in the year has left them coming into the summer and in a bit of a hole. However, as the year has progressed they have climbed closer and closer to the .500 mark and now they come into this game with a record of 29-32 through their first 61 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They will be looking to grab a huge series victory over Houston here in this one. However, I just don’t see it happening as I have the Houston Astros picking up the win in the series finale and that’s clinching the series victory in the process.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros

Jeffery Thomas

The Texas Rangers have been playing some of their best baseball recently and has resulted in them making some headway in the wild card race. Their offensive numbers have been identical to that of the Astros so the only justifiable reason for Houston to be favorites is their pitching.

However, in this one I don’t see the pitching advantage being in the Astros favor as Luis Garcia has lost 4 of his last 5 starts. The Rangers should have no issues once again being competitive with their division rivals and even possibly winning the game outright.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Texas Rangers +1.5

Marko Nadin

The Texas Rangers are second in the AL West with a 29-32 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are tied at one game apiece after the first two games of the series against the state rival Astros. The Rangers are 17th in the league scoring 4.38 runs per game and are ranked 15th in the league allowing 4.30 runs per game. The Rangers will start Matt Moore who is 3-0 for the season with a 2.54 ERA. Texas has lost 5 of the last 8 games against right-handed starting pitcher.

The Houston Astros are on top of the AL West with a 38-24 record. They have lost 4 of the last 6 games and are coming off a 4-3 win over the Rangers last night. The Astros are 21st scoring 4.20 runs per game and are ranked third in the league allowing 3.51 runs per game. Houston will start Luis Garcia tonight who is 3-5 for the season with a 3.60 ERA. The Astros have won 13 of the last 16 games against AL West opponents and 20 of the last 27 games against left-handed pitchers.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros

Kansas City Royals @ San Francisco Giants – 3:45PM ET

The Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. The San Francisco Giants picked up the win in game one, and in game two the Giants added another win to clinch the series. Now they will be looking for the sweep here on Wednesday.

Tony Battalio

The San Francisco Giants won the first two games of the series over the Kansas City Royals and what is a rematch of the 2014 World Series. The Giants are hot right now as they are currently on a five game winning streak coming into Wednesday’s series finale. They come into this game with a record of 35-26 through their first 61 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season as they currently sit in third place of the National League West, trailing the Los Angeles Dodgers by three games at the moment. They have won seven out of their last ten games on the year.

Speaking of the 2014 World Series, the Kansas City Royals are far removed from that same team that lost in seven games. They are also far removed from that team that came back in 2015 and won the World Series over the New York Mets. These days the Royals find themselves back to being one of the worst teams in baseball and in full rebuild mode. That is clearly on display this season is a coming to this game with a record of 20-41 at the moment. They have lost their last four in a row and I think they will pick up another loss and this one as I have the Giants completing the sweep.

Tony’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants

Jeffery Thomas

The San Francisco Giants are getting the perfect opponent in the Kansas City Royals after sweeping out their rival Dodgers over the weekend. This gives them the perfect opportunity to get even closer in the race for first place in the division and none of these games will be taken lightly as we’ve seen with them winning the first two of this series.

The Giants are one of the best offenses in the league and facing the team with the highest WHIP in all of baseball. It’s a horrible matchup for the Royals who don’t bring much to the table and should have trouble keeping San Fran off the bases once again. I see this game being a blowout in favor of the home team.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants -1.5

Marko Nadin

The San Francisco Giants are third in the NL West with a 35-26 record. They have won the last 5 games and are about to sweep their second series in a row. The Giants are the fourth-best offensive team in the league scoring 5.02 runs per game and are ranked 18th in the league allowing 4.36 runs per game. They will start Camilo Doval tonight who has a 2.63 ERA so far in the season. San Francisco has won the last 4 games against right-handed starters and 45 of the last 63 home games against teams with a losing record.

The Kansas City Royals are on the bottom of the AL Central with a 20-41 record. They have lost the last 4 games and have scored a total of 4 runs in the first two games of the series against the Giants. Kansas City is ranked 27th in the league scoring only 3.95 runs per game and 28th allowing 5.53 runs per game. The Royals will start Jonathan Heasley tonight who is 1-3 for the season with a 3.62 ERA. Kansas City has lost  12 of the last 17 games against right-handed starters.

Marko’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants

Atlanta Braves @ Washington Nationals – 7:05PM ET

The Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. The Atlanta Braves picked up the win in game one, and in game two the Braves clinched the series victory. Now they will be looking to complete the sweep here in this one.

Tony Battalio

The defending World Series champions are the hottest team in Major League Baseball at the moment. They added yet another victory on Tuesday to stretch their huge winning streak to 13 games and now they will be looking to complete the sweep in this series. Before they started this winning streak the Atlanta Braves were four games under the .500 mark and now they come into this game, nine games above .500 with a record of 36-27 through their first 63 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Washington Nationals ran into the Atlanta Braves at the wrong time, however, that seems to ring true for every team the Nationals have played this season. As they are in the midst of a terrible year and already find themselves nearly 20 games under the .500 mark in the middle of June. They come into this game with a record of 23-41 through their first 64 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season and they trail the division leading New York Mets by 18.5 games. Add for the result of this one I have the Nationals losing another one and the Braves securing the three game series sweep.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Atlanta Braves (-184)

Jeffery Thomas

The defending champion Atlanta Braves got yet another win on Tuesday, pushing their winning streak up to 13 games. This time it was 10-4 over the Washington Nationals and they will now go for the road series sweep on Wednesday. The Nats are shaping up to be one of the worst teams in all of baseball for the season and happen to be playing the hottest team at the moment.

It’s a recipe for disaster and it has shown as the Braves have outscored them 19-9 in the first two games of this series. Don’t expect much to change in the finale as Braves pitcher Spencer Strider gets the start and is coming off his best outing of the year. He will lead his guys to yet another comfortable victory in this one.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Atlanta Braves -1.5 (-108)

Marko Nadin

The Washington Nationals are at the bottom of the NL East with a 23-41 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off two consecutive losses to the Braves. The Nationals are 20th in the league scoring 4.28 runs per game and are the worst team in the league allowing 5.83 runs per game. Washington will start Erick Fedde tonight who is 4-4 for the season with a 4.87 ERA. The Nats have lost 37 of the last 52 third games of a series and 81 of the last 120 games overall.

The Atlanta Braves are second in the NL East with a 36-27 record. They are on a 13-game winning streak not losing a single game in the month of June. The defending champions are 7th in the league scoring 4.79 runs per game and are ranked 12th in the league allowing 4.19 runs per game. The Braves will start Spencer Strider tonight who is 2-2 for the season with a 2.35 ERA. Atlanta has the last 5 third games of a series and 5 of the last 7 games against NL East opponents.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Atlanta Braves (-184)

Tampa Bay Rays @ New York Yankees – 7:05PM ET

The Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. The New York Yankees picked up the win in game one, and now they will be looking to secure the series win in game two, while setting up the opportunity for a sweep in this one as well.

Tony Battalio

The New York Yankees just continue to keep winning baseball games as they added yet another victory to their league best record of 45-16. Through their first 61 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season, they have the highest run differential in baseball and they have built up almost a double digit lead over two other teams in the best division in Major League Baseball as well. As they come into this game on a five game winning streak and having won nine out of their last ten games on the year.

The Tampa Bay Rays have been decent but because they happen to play in the same division as the New York Yankees they’ve been a bit overshadowed so far this season. They come into this game with a record of 35-26 through their first 61 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season, as they are currently in third place of the American League East and trail the Yankees by 10 games. They have won five out of their last ten games on the year. As for the result of this game I have Nestor Cortes leading the Yankees to yet another victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-138)

Jeffery Thomas

The New York Yankees enjoyed a 2-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday to push their winning streak up to 5 games. Gerrit Cole pitched six innings of shutout ball in the win to get his record on the season to 6-1. Game 2 of this series features another great pitching duel this time between Shane McClanahan and Nestor Cortes of New York.

Both guys have ERAs under 2.00 and I think we see a similar script as the one we got on Tuesday where we only saw 2 runs scored in the game. Give me the under.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Under Runs (+100)

Marko Nadin

The New York Yankees are on top of the AL East with a 45-16 record. They have won 5 straight games and are coming off a 2-0 win in the series opener against the Rays. The Yankees are third in the league scoring 5.04 runs per game and are ranked the best in the league allowing 2.94 runs per game. The Yankees will start Nestor Cortes tonight who is 5-2 for the season with a 1.96 ERA. They have won 16 of the last 21 games against teams with a winning record and 49 of the last 68 home games.

The Tampa Bay Rays are third in the AL East with a 35-26 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and failed to score in the series opener against the Yankees. The Rays are 22nd in the league scoring 4.20 runs per game and are ranked 5th in the league allowing 3.87 runs per game. Tampa Bay will start Shane McClanahan tonight who is 7-2 for the season with 1.87 ERA. The Rays have won 10 of the last 11 games played on Wednesday and 6 of the last 8 games against teams with a winning record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Tampa Bay Rays (+118)
