St.Louis Cardinals @ Atlanta Braves – 7:20PM ET

It has been a rough season for the St. Louis Cardinals and at this point of the year they have nothing left to play for but pride. They have been the worst team in the National League Central division, and one of the worst teams in all of baseball all together, and it looks as if it is the beginning of a long and lengthy rebuilding process for this historic franchise. They come into this game against the Atlanta Braves with a record of 59-78 through their first 137 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season. They will be looking to pick up a victory in the opening game of this series against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday night, and extend their winning streak to two games in the process. 

The Atlanta Braves have been one of the best teams in all of baseball this season at the moment they are likely favorites to win the World Series this year as well. They have had a lethal lineup second that could hurt a team all the way from the lead off spot to the number nine spot and even some of the guys off of the bench can come in and do damage as well. They will be looking to pick up a victory in the opening game of the series against the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night at home and extend their lead in the National League East division as well. That is exactly what I expect as I have the Atlanta Braves grabbing a comfortable victory in this game on Tuesday night. 

San Francisco Giants @ Chicago Cubs – 7:40PM ET

It has been a successful season for the San Francisco Giants, and they will be looking to finish it on a strong note, and make a playoff appearance at the end of the year as well. They will be looking to bounce back here on Tuesday night after they were defeated by the Chicago Cubs in the opening game of their series on Monday afternoon at Wrigley Field. As San Francisco will be on a mission to even up this series and get themselves back into the top three of the National League wildcard race heading into the final month of the season. They come into the second game of this series with a record of 70-68 through their first 138 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season and they are currently one game out of third spot in the National League wildcard race. 

The Chicago Cubs will be looking to replicate their performance from Monday afternoon and pick up a second consecutive victory over the San Francisco Giants here on Tuesday evening to officially clinch this series before heading into Wednesday’s finale. Chicago had a slow start to the season but they have picked things up as the year has gone on and now they currently find themselves within striking distance of winning the National League Central division, and grabbing one of the three wildcard spots in the National League as well. I expect Chicago to grab their second consecutive victory over San Francisco here on Tuesday night.

Houston Astros @ Texas Rangers – 8:05PM ET

The defending World Series champions will be looking to pick up a quality victory in the second game of the series against the Texas Rangers here on Tuesday night. Houston blew the game open late in the opening game of their series on Monday afternoon to pick up a massive victory in the American League West division title race and the American League wildcard race as well. Houston has had the Rangers number throughout the season and they have been heating up throughout the year and they are getting hot at the right time before heading into the final month of the season and then playoff season as well. If they can keep the momentum rolling, then they will have a legitimate chance at defending their title this year.

The Texas Rangers cannot get out of their own way at this point as they just have continued to struggle throughout the last couple of weeks. It will finally be looking to regroup in the second game of this series against the Houston Astros as they look to even up the series and pick up a much-needed victory as they can fill their playoff hopes slipping away from them with each and every loss that continues to pile up. Unfortunately for the Texas Rangers, I don’t see that happening as I expect their struggles to continue here in this game as well and for the Houston Astros to pick up a victory on Tuesday night on the road. 

Baltimore Orioles @ Los Angeles Angels – 9:38PM ET

Baltimore has been one of the best teams in all of baseball this season and they have done it with a combination of fantastic hitting and timely starting pitching as well. They will be looking to keep the momentum rolling in the second game of the series against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night as they look to further extend their lead in the American League East division over the Tampa Bay Rays heading into the final month of the 2023 regular season. Baltimore will be looking to take advantage of a struggling Los Angeles team and pick up a quality victory here in this game.

The Los Angeles Angels and plenty of expectations coming into the season, but once again, they find themselves on the outside looking in when it comes to the American League playoff race late in the year. At this point in the season, they are all but officially eliminated from the playoffs, and now they will head into the off-season full of uncertainty concerning the future of superstar Shohei Ohtani and the direction of the franchise over the coming years. As the departure of Shohei Ohtani could signal the beginning of a lengthy rebuilding process for Los Angeles. Unfortunately for them I don’t see it getting much better for them and this one as I have Baltimore grabbing the victory here on Tuesday night.

Philadelphia Phillies @ San Diego Padres – 9:40PM ET

After a high scoring game that lasted for several hours, Philadelphia picked up a critical victory in the opening game of their series against the San Diego Padres on Monday night. Now they will be looking to replicate that performance here on Tuesday evening and pick up their second consecutive victory over San Diego, as well as officially clinch the series before heading into Wednesday’s finale. Following a slow start to the season, Philadelphia has picked it up over the last few months and they looked primed and ready to defend their National League pennant heading into the postseason. First things first they will have to officially qualify for the postseason in grabbing another victory. Here in this one would extend their lead in the National League wildcard race by yet another game.

The San Diego Padres had so many expectations coming into the season but they have not lived up to those expectations and it looks as if a long and lengthy off-season is ahead of them. When the San Diego Padres went all in at the trade deadline last year, many people thought they would be winning a World Series either last season, this season, or in the coming years, however that has just not been the case, and they find themselves stuck and unsure of what to do for the future. They could have several challenges ahead of them in the off-season and unfortunately for San Diego I don’t see it getting much better for them right now as I have Philadelphia picking up the victory in this game on Tuesday night.
