Milwaukee Brewers @ Cincinnati Reds – 6:40PM ET

The Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds will be playing the second game of their series in this one on Tuesday. On Monday it was the Cincinnati Reds who won the series opener by a score of 10-5. Now they will be looking to clinch the series with a second win.

Tony Battalio

The Milwaukee Brewers will now be looking to bounce back after the Cincinnati Reds picked up the victory in the series opener on Monday evening. It was a high scoring affair that ended with a total of 15 runs scored. As the Cincinnati Reds put up ten runs to grab just their sixth win of the season and their second win in a row. Milwaukee comes into this middle game of their three game series with a record of 19-11 through their first 30 games of the season as they still remain in first place of the National League Central division.

The Cincinnati Reds added yet another win, to win two games in a row for the first time this season. As three of their six wins on the season have all come since Friday night. Now they will come into this game with a record of 6-23 through their first 29 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are 3-7 in their last ten games of the season. As for the result of this game however, I think the Milwaukee Brewers will bounce back and pick up the victory over the Cincinnati Reds.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers (-198)

Jeffery Thomas

The Milwaukee Brewers were shocked on Monday in their series opener with the Cincinnati Reds, losing 10-5. It was just the 6th win of the season for the Reds but three of those have come in the past four games. In the top of the 5th inning the Brewers took a 3-1 lead but the Reds responded in the bottom of the inning with 5 runs and took the lead for good. Every Reds starter had at least one hit and scored a run, which is the first time the franchise accomplished that since June 2007.

The Brewers just beat the Reds in a three-game sweep by a combined score of 34-12 last week and I’m just not buying that the Reds improved that much in a matter of days. Hunter Greene is taking the mound for the Reds and is very prone to giving up runs and with the Brewers being top 2 in runs scored per game, they will be in a prime bounce-back spot. Give me the Brewers in a blowout.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 (-118)

Marko Nadin

The Cincinnati Reds are at the bottom of the NL Central with a league-worst 6-23 record. Anyway they have picked up their form recently winning 3 of the last 4 games and are coming off back-to-back wins over Pittsburgh and Milwaukee. The Reds are the worst defensive team in the league allowing 6.73 runs per game and are ranked 19th scoring 4.02 runs per game. Hunter Greene will start for Cincinnati tonight who is 1-4 on the season with a 8.71 ERA. The Reds have lost 20 of the last 28 games as underdogs.

The Milwaukee Brewers are on top of the NL Central with a 19-11 record. They have lost the last three games after winning the previous four. Milwaukee is the second-best offensive team in the league scoring 4.89 runs per game and are also ranked second with 1.27 home runs per game. The Brewers will start Freddy Peralta tonight who is 1-1 for the season with a 5.09 ERA. The Brewers have won 12 of the last 16 games as favorites and 15 of the last 21 games played on grass.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers (-198)

New York Mets @ Washington Nationals – 7:05PM ET

The Washington Nationals and New York Mets will be playing the first game of their series in this one on Tuesday. This is the second time these two teams have met this season, as New York currently holds a 3-1 series lead in the season series.

Tony Battalio

The New York Mets have been the best team in Major League Baseball through the first full month of the 2022 season. They come into this game with a record of 20-10 through their first 30 games of the year. They are in first place of the American League East at the moment as they hold a six game lead over the Atlanta Braves. They are six and four in their last ten games of the year and they are currently on a one game winning streak after winning the last game of their previous series.

The Washington Nationals are so far removed from the team that won a World Series a few ago that sometimes it doesn’t even seem like the same franchise at this point. They are coming into this game with one of the worst records in Major League Baseball as they currently have a record of 10-20 through their first 30 games of the season. As for the result of this game I am going with the New York Mets to pick up the victory and clinch the series win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Mets

Jeffery Thomas

The Mets have gotten off to a fast start in these first five weeks of the season and will look to keep things rolling in the opener of this series with the Washington Nationals. The Nats have lost two straight series against the Rockies and Angels and are in last place in the NL East. The Mets on the other hand are in first place and coming off a series win to the Philadelphia Phillies where they outscored them 16-11.

The Nationals will struggle to keep the Mets off base and I’m expecting New York to put up plenty of runs against Patrick Corbin. Corbin is 0-5 on the year with an ERA north of 7 so the pick here is simple, and I’m going to roll with the best team in the league in this one.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Mets -1.5

Marko Nadin

The Washington Nationals are at the bottom of the NL East with a 10-20 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 series loss against the Los Angeles Angels. Washington is 12th in the league scoring 4.30 runs per game and ais ranked fourth in the league with a .254 AVG. Defensively, the Nationals are the third-worst team in the league allowing 5.33 runs per game. Washington will start Patrick Corbin who is 0-5 for the season with a 7.16 ERA.

The New York Mets are the first team this season to reach 20 wins as they stand on top of the NL East with a 20-10 record. The Mets have won 4 of the last 6 games and are coming off 1 2-1 series win over the Philadelphia Phillies. The Mets are 8th in the league scoring 4.58 runs per game and are ranked fifth allowing 3.37 runs per game. Tylor Megill will start for the Mets tonight who has a 2.43 ERA for the season.

Marko’s MLB Pick: New York Mets

Toronto Blue Jays @ New York Yankees – 7:05PM ET

Two of the top teams in the American League East division and the entirety of Major League Baseball will meet in the first game of their two game series in this one. So far it is the Yankees who hold the season series by four games to three.

Tony Battalio

The New York Yankees will host the Toronto Blue Jays in this short weekday two game series. These two teams have played seven previous games together this year and so far it is the New York Yankees who hold the slight four games to three advantage. They have been one of the best teams in Major League Baseball so far this season as they are in search of their first World Series ring since 2009. They come into this game with a record of 20-8 through their first 28 games of the season.

The Toronto Blue Jays come into this third series of the year against the New York Yankees with a record of 17-13 through their first 30 games of the season. They are coming off of a series loss to the Cleveland Guardians as they will be looking to bounce back in this two set against the Bronx Bombers on the road. As for the result of this game I am going with the Toronto Blue Jays to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (+134)

Jeffery Thomas

The Yankees have been getting a good combination of pitching and hitting as they were the first American League team to hit 20 wins on the year. That was due in large part to their 11-game winning streak that was ended just under a week ago at the hands of these Toronto Blue Jays. Despite that win, the Blue Jays lost that series and is just 5-7 in their past 12 games after a promising 12-6 start to the new season. They’ve been held to three or fewer runs in 9 of those 12 games and they are hoping the day off Monday can help them reset and get back to their winning ways.

These two teams are just heading in opposite directions right now and the Yankees are just too hot to bet against. They have won games in all fashions, from close games to blow outs or high-scoring and low-scoring. The Bronx Bombers are sending out Luis Severino on the mound who is getting stringer every start and with the Jays struggles at the plate, it’s fair to assume he’s in for another good day on the job.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-158)

Marko Nadin

The New York Yankees are on top of the AL East with a 20-8 record. After winning 11 straight games, the Yankees have lost 2 of the last 4. They are coming off a 1-0 win over the Texas Rangers. The Yankees are 11th in the league with 4.43 scored runs per game and are second-best team defensively allowing 2.68 runs per game. Luis Severino will start for the Yankees tonight who is 2-0 for the season with a 3.75 ERA. The Yankees have won 6 of the last 7 games after scoring no more than 2 runs in the previous game.

The Toronto Blue Jays are third in the AL East with a 17-13 record. They have lost the last 2 games and are coming off a 3-1 series loss against the Cleveland Guardians. Toronto is sixth in the league hitting 1.16 home runs per game and are ranked 22nd in the league scoring 3.90 runs per game. Yusei Kikuchi will start for the Blue Jays tonight. He is 1-1 for the season with a 4.35 ERA. The Blue Jays have won 22 of the last 27 games coming off a loss.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (+134)

Boston Red Sox @ Atlanta Braves – 7:20PM ET

The Boston Red Soxs and the defending World Series champions the Atlanta Braves will both be looking to pick up the win and gain some momentum in this series.

Tony Battalio

Both the Boston Red Sox and the Atlanta Braves are having a rough start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As they come into this game with a combined record of 24-35 through their first 59 games of the season. It has been much worse for the Red Sox as they are currently 10-19 and playing in one of the toughest divisions in baseball. They are currently towards the bottom of the American League standings as well.

The Atlanta Braves are coming into this game with a record of 14-16 through their first 30 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are experiencing a bit of a World Series hangover it seems like as they will be looking to get back on track throughout the month of May. As for the result of game one of this two game series I am taking the Atlanta Braves to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Atlanta Braves (-132)

Jeffery Thomas

The Boston Red Sox and Atlanta Braves will play Game one of their quick two-game Interleague Series on Tuesday in Atlanta. The first thing that I thought of when I saw these two teams matching up was the under because of how stinhybnoth pitching staffs have been. Boston starters have allowed two or fewer runs 14 of the past 17 games while the Braves have allowed three or fewer runs in over half of their 30 games this year (16). With Garrett Whitlock (1-1 1.25 ERA) and Kyle Wright (3-1 1.74 ERA) taking the mound runs twill be at a premium, so give me the under all day.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Under 8 (-120)

Marko Nadin

The Atlanta Braves are second in the NL East with a 14-16 record which is pretty for a defending champion. The Braves have won 3 of the last 4 games and are coming off a 2-1 series win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Atlanta is fourth in the league hitting 1.25 home runs per game, 15th with 4.17 scored runs per game and 22nd allowing 4.28 runs per game. The Braves will start Kyle Wright who is 3-1 for the season with a 1.74 ERA. Atlanta has won 4 of the last 6 home games.

The Boston Red Sox have a disappointing start of the 2022 season as they are at the bottom of the AL East with a 10-19 record. They have lost the last five games and are coming into this series after being swept by the Chicago White Sox in the previous series. Boston is 16th in the league allowing 4.10 runs per game and 28th in the league scoring only 3.30 runs per game. The Red Sox will start Garrett Whitlock tonight who is 1-1 for the season with a 1.25 ERA.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Boston Red Sox (+112)

Houston Astros @ Minnesota Twins – 7:40PM ET

The Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins will meet in this one as they are both sitting towards the top of the standings in the American League. They both come into this series with identical 18-11 records through their first 29 games on the season.

Tony Battalio

Two of the top teams in the American League will meet in this series as the first place team in the American League Central will meet the second place team in the American League West. When the Houston Astros travel north  to play the Minnesota Twins. The Houston Astros come into this game with a record of 18-11 through their first 29 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently on a seven game winning streak as they are 8-2 in their last ten games.

The Minnesota Twins are a bit of a surprise this season as they come into this game leading the American League Central division by three games over the Cleveland Guardians. They come into this matchup with a record of 18-11 through their first 29 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As for the result of this game I am going with the Minnesota Twins to pick up the victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Minnesota Twins (+124)

Jeffery Thomas

The Houston Astros will travel to Minnesota for a series against the Twins as they start up a nine-game road trip. In Tuesday’s series opener the Astros will be looking for win #8 in a row. During this winning streak they have only allowed eight runs to the Tigers and Mariners, which includes three shutouts. The Twins have also been playing well and are coming off a series sweep of the Oakland Athletics where they win all three games by exactly one run. That entire series was played without Twins shortstop and former-Astro Carlos Correa who has a finger injury. His signing has been a spark to the team and a big reason why they currently sit atop the AL Central standings.

Both teams have been playing very well and this sets up to be an entertaining series. For the opener though, I have to roll with the home Astros who will have their ace Justin Verlander on the mound. He is very reliable in these spots and has won each of his last two starts so bank on him to keep his great streak going.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-146)

Marko Nadin

The Minnesota Twins are on top of AL Central with a 18-11 record. They have won 7 of the last 9 games and are coming off a series sweep against the Oakland Athletics. The Twins are 15th in the league with 4.13 runs per game and third allowing 3.25 runs per game. Minnesota will start Joe Ryan tonight who is 3-1 for the season with a 1.63 ERA. Minnesota has won the last 4 games when their opponent allows 2 runs or less in their previous game and the last 9 home games.

The Houston Astros are second in the AL West with a 18-11 record. They have won the last 7 games and are coming off a series sweeps against Seattle and Detroit. The Astros are 23rd in the league scoring 3.86 runs per game and are ranked 4th with 3.30 allowed runs per game. The Astros will start Justin Verlander who is 3-1 for the season with a 1.93 ERA. Houston has won 11 of the last 12 games on grass and 100 of the last 142 opening games of the series.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Minnesota Twins (+124)
