Colorado Rockies @ Miami Marlins – 6:40PM ET

The Colorado Rockies and Miami Marlins will be playing the first game of their three game weekday series in this one. They have played once already this season and it was the Marlins who won the series two games to one. This is the last time they will play this year.

Tony Battalio

The Colorado Rockies are coming into this game with a record of 30-37 through their first 67 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They had a decent start to the year and surprised everyone but that fast start quickly disappeared. Now they find themselves in last place of the National League West division. They have won five out of their last ten games on the year and are currently on a three game winning streak at the moment.

The Miami Marlins are coming into this game with a record of 29-36 through their first 65 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in fourth place of the National League East division at the moment as they have won four out of their last ten games on the year. They are currently on a one game losing streak coming into this new series with the Colorado Rockies. As for the result of this game I am going with the Miami Marlins to pick up the victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Miami Marlins (-130)

Jeffery Thomas

The Miami Marlins will now return home on Tuesday after a rough patch at the end of their road trip. They won the first two games of the road stand in Houston but went just 2-6 in the following eight games including the 6-0 shutout loss to the New York Mets on Monday. Up next for the Marlins is a home series against the Colorado Rockies who just dismissed off a sweep of the San Diego Padres.

This was a big bounce-back for them after being swept by the Cleveland Guardians in the previous series so now they’ll hope to keep this momentum going. The Rockies have been performing much better of these two teams and we get them as slight underdogs here which is very appealing to me. I’m rolling with the hot team and hot offense even though they will be on the road. Having Monday off should give them a good rest advantage to take care of business here.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Colorado Rockies (+110)

Marko Nadin

The Miami Marlins are fourth in the NL East with a 29-36 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 1-3 series loss to the New York Mets. Miami is ranked 13th in the league scoring 4.55 runs per game and 17th in the league allowing 4.34 runs per game. Daniel Castano will start for the Marlins tonight who is 0-1 for the season. Miami has won the last 6 home games as favorites and the last 4 games against teams with a losing record.

The Colorado Rockies are at the bottom of the NL West with a 30-37 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 3-0 series sweep over the San Diego Padres. Colorado is 11th in the league scoring 4.64 runs per game and is ranked 28th in the league allowing 5.51 runs per game. The Rockies will start Ryan Feltner tonight who is 1-2 for the season with a 4.85 ERA. Colorado has won 5 of the last 7 games as underdog and 4 of the last 5 games against left-handed starter.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Miami Marlins (-130)

Washington Nationals @ Baltimore Orioles – 7:05PM ET

The Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles will be playing the first game of their short two game series in this one. This is the first of two times they will meet this season, both in two game series. Both teams are having some rough seasons coming into this series.

Tony Battalio

The Washington Nationals are coming into this game with a record of 24-46 through their first 70 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won only two out of their last ten games on the year and are currently on a one game winning streak. They are in last place of the National League East division and more than 20 games out of first place in the division.

The Baltimore Orioles are having a rough season as well but their future looks a lot better than the Nationals future does. They come into this game with a record of 30-38 through their first 68 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in last place of the American League East division. They have won six out of their last ten games on the year and are currently on a one game winning streak. As for the result of this game I am going with the Baltimore Orioles to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles

Jeffery Thomas

It’s been a rough go of it for the Washington Nationals in their last couple series going against two of the hottest teams in baseball. They were swept by the Atlanta Braves and then lost the first four of their series with the Phillies before getting a 9-3 win on Sunday to snap an eight-game losing streak.

They’ll now go up against an improving Baltimore Orioles team as the local rivals meet for the first time in 2022. The Os have won six of their last nine games so the momentum is on their side and confidence is running high as four of those wins were against the Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays. Classic case of taking the hotter team and fading the Nats who have the second worst record in the National League.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles

Marko Nadin

The Baltimore Orioles are at the bottom of the AL East with a 30-38 record. They have won 3 of the last 4 games but are coming off a 2-1 series win over the Tampa Bay Rays. The Orioles are 24th in the league scoring 4.15 runs per game and are ranked 23rd in the league allowing 4.73 runs per game. Baltimore will start Tyler Wells tonight who is 4-4 for the season with a 3.62 ERA. The Orioles have lost 10 of the last 16 opening games of a series and 11 of the last 19 home games.

The Washington Nationals are at the bottom of the NL East with a 24-46 record. They are coming off a 9-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies that put an end to their eight-game losing streak. The Nationals are 21th in the league scoring 4.23 runs per game and are the worst team in the league allowing 5.82 runs per game. Washington will start Erick Fedde tonight who is 4-5 for the season with a 4.88 ERA. The Nats have lost 7 of the last 10 road games and 5 of the last 6 opening games of a series.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles

Cleveland Guardians @ Minnesota Twins – 7:40PM ET

The Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins will be playing the first game of their three game series in this one. This will be the first game of eight games between these two teams from now until June 30th. They are locked in a close race in the American League Central.

Tony Battalio

The Cleveland Guardians are absolutely red hot at the moment. They have won six straight series coming into this huge division series with the Minnesota Twins. They come into this game with a record of 34-28 through their first 62 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won eight out of their last ten games on the year and have pulled their deficit to one game inside of the American League Central division.

The Minnesota Twins are coming into this game with a record of 38-30 through their first 68 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won five out of their last ten games on the season and are currently on a one game losing streak at the moment. They will have to get some wins over the Guardians if they want to grow their lead in the American League Central division again as the Guardians are breathing down their necks at this point. As for the result of this game I am going with the Cleveland Guardians to pick up the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Cleveland Guardians (+146)

Jeffery Thomas

The Cleveland Guardians are streaking right now and will be gunning for their seventh consecutive series win in a very important series against the Minnesota Twins. The Twins currently lead Cleveland by one game for first place in the AL Central so the Guardians will see this as a great opportunity to take over that lead. Their form coming in suggests that there is a good chance that will happen over the course of the next three games as they have won 6 of their last 7 and aren’t showing any signs of looking back.

I don’t like the pitching matchup for the Guardians in this game though as Aaron Civale is one of their worst arms in the rotation. He has given up 6 earned runs in 3 of his last 5 starts and will be opposed by Twins’ Joe Ryan who is 5-3 on the year with a respectable 2.81 ERA. Civale isn’t a guy I’m too confident in but he did pitch 6.1 shutout innings in his last outing while Ryan gave up four and couldn’t make it out of the fifth inning. That is enough for me to ride with the red-hot Guardians in this series opener.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Cleveland Guardians (+146)

Marko Nadin

The Minnesota Twins are on top of AL Central with a 38-30 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 series loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Twins are 14th in the league scoring 4.51 runs per game and are ranked 11th allowing 4.13 runs per game. Minnesota will start Joe Ryan who is 5-3 for the season with a 2.81 ERA. The Twins have won 5 of the last 6 games after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game and 13 of the last 16 games following a loss.

The Cleveland Guardians are second in the AL Central with a 34-28 record. They have won 6 of the last 7 games and are coming off a 2-1 series win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Cleveland is 12th in the league scoring 4.64 runs per game and is ranked 10th in the league allowing 4.07 runs per game. The Guardians will start Aaron Civale tonight who is 2-3 for the season with a 7.84 ERA. Cleveland has won the last 4 games when their opponent allows 5 runs or more in their previous game and 7 of the last 8 games against a right-handed starter.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Minnesota Twins (-174)

New York Mets @ Houston Astros – 8:10PM ET

The New York Mets and Houston Astros will be playing the first game of their short two game series in this one. They will meet again next week in another two game series. These two games could be a potential preview of the World Series, as both teams are in first place in their respective division.

Tony Battalio

The New York Mets have been one of the best teams in Major League Baseball so far this season. They come into this game with a record of 45-24 through their first 69 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in first place of the National League East division as they lead the Atlanta Braves by five and a half games. They have won seven out of their last ten games on the year and are currently on a one game winning streak as well.

The Houston Astros are coming into this game in first place of the American League West division. They come into this series with a record of 41-25 through their first 66 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won five out of their last ten games of the year and are currently on a one game winning streak. As for the result of this game I am going with the New York Mets to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (+116)

Jeffery Thomas

The Houston Astros got the day off on Monday to regroup and get prepared for a blockbuster series with the NL East-leading New York Mets. Houston took two of three from the Chicago White Sox over the weekend to build their division lead over the Los Angeles Angels up to 9.5 games.

The Mets finished up their four-game series with the Miami Marlins on Monday with a dominant 6-0 victory at home. The pitching for the Astros has been solid all year but Jose Urquidy has been the weak link in that with an ERA around 5.00. A chance to get plus ofds on the Mets here against a struggling pitcher is something we won’t see often so I have to jump on this one.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (+116)

Marko Nadin

The Houston Astros are on top of the AL West with a 41-25 record. They have won 4 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 series win over the Chicago White Sox. The Astros are 18th scoring 4.34 runs per game and are ranked third in the league allowing 3.52 runs per game. Houston will start Jose Urquidi tonight who is 5-3 for the season with a 4.99 ERA. The Astros have won the last 5 games when their opponent allows 2 runs or less in their previous game and 17 of the last 24 home games.

The New York Mets are on top of the NL East with a 45-24 record. They have won 4 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 3-1 series win over the Miami Marlins. The Mets are second in the league scoring 5.11 runs per game and are ranked 9th in the league allowing 4.05 runs per game. Trevor Williams will start for the Mets tonight who is 1-3 for the season with a 3.53 ERA. The Mets have won 10 of the last 13 games after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game and 23 of the last 31 opening games of a series.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-134)

Kansas City Royals @ Los Angeles Angels – 9:38PM ET

The Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Angels will be playing the second game of their three game series in this one. In game number one it was the Kansas City Royals who picked up the victory. Now they will be looking to secure the series victory here in game number two.

Tony Battalio

The Kansas City Royals got a huge win over the Los Angeles Angels in game one of this series and now they will be looking to secure the series victory here on Tuesday. They are still having a disappointing season as they come into this game with a record of 24-42 through their first 66 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. The Royals are currently on a one game winning streak and have won five out of their last ten games on the year.

The Los Angeles Angels are looking to bounce back after their loss in game one of this three game series. They now come into game two with a record of 33-37 through their first 70 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently in second place of the American League West division at the moment as they trail the Rangers by ten games. They have won five out of their last ten games on the year. As for the result of this game I am going with the Los Angeles Angels to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels (-184)

Jeffery Thomas

The Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Angels got their three-game series started off on Monday with the Royals pulling out the victory 6-2. Royals left fielder Andrew Benintendi led the way with 2 hits and 2 RBI, including a home run in the first inning to open up the scoring. The loss for LA snapped a three-game winning streak they were riding and pushed the Royals’ run out to four wins in the last five games.

This stretch of winning won’t be sustainable for Kansas City who is one of the worst teams in all of baseball and I think we get a good opportunity to fade them here on Tuesday. The Angels are throwing out Reid Detmers who has had a mixed bag of results including a no-hitter last month against Tampa and I think in this game he has another one of his good outings. Give me the Angels in a blowout to avenge their loss in the previous game.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels -1.5 (+110)

Marko Nadin

The Los Angeles Angels are third in the AL West with a 33-37 record. They have won 4 of the last 5 games and came into the series against the Royals after a 4-1 series win over the Seattle Mariners. The Angels are 19th in the league scoring 4.27 runs per game and 12th in the league allowing 4.14 runs per game. The Angels will start Reid Detmers tonight who is 2-3 for the season with a 4.25 ERA. The Angels have lost 9 of the last 12 games after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game and 11 of the last 13 home games.

The Kansas City Royals are on the bottom of the AL Central with a 24-42 record. They have won 4 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels in the series opener. Kansas City is ranked 27th in the league scoring only 3.84 runs per game and 26th allowing 5.28 runs per game. The Royals will start Jonathan Heasley tonight who is 1-3 for the season with a 3.72 ERA. Kansas City has won the last 4 games as underdog and has lost 13 of the last 19 games against teams with a losing record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels (-184)
