Miami Marlins @ Philadelphia Phillies – 7:05PM ET

The Miami Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies will be playing the second game of their three game weekday series in this one. In game one it was the Phillies who picked up the victory. Now they will be looking to secure the series victory here in game two on Tuesday evening.

Tony Battalio

The Miami Marlins are coming into this game in the middle of a rough season this year. They come into this game with a record of 27-39 through their first 59 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have hovered around the .500 mark for the majority of the season and unfortunately for them, it’s been more under .500 than over or at .500 thus far.

The Philadelphia Phillies have been hot as of late, as they have climbed their back to even through their first 60 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. In game number 61 of the year, they ended up beating the Miami Marlins and found themselves on the positive side of the .500 mark with a record of 31-30. Philadelphia has won their last three series and two of them have been sweeps over the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Angels. As for the result of this game, I am going with the Phillies to add another win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Philadelphia Phillies (-158)

Jeffery Thomas

The Philadelphia Phillies suffered their first loss of June on Sunday to the Arizona Diamondbacks but bounced back with a 3-2 victory over the Miami Marlins in the series opener on Monday. Didi Gregorius tied the game in the 8th inning with a single and then Rhys Hoskins walked things off in the 9th to bring Philly’s record to 30-30 on the season.

The Phillies have hit their stride in a big way this month and now sit with a record of 10-1 in June. They have things rolling in a big way and I like them to keep the streak going on Tuesday against the inconsistent Trevor Rogers.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Philadelphia Phillies (-158)

Marko Nadin

The Philadelphia Phillies are third in the NL East with a 31-30 record. They have won 10 of the last 11 games and started the series against the Miami Marlins with a 3-2 win. The Phillies are 5th in the league scoring 4.84 runs per game and 18th in the league allowing 4.36 runs per game. Zach Eflin will be the Phillies’ starter tonight who is 2-4 for the season with a 3.76 ERA. Philadelphia has won 6 of the last 7 games as home favourites and 9 of the last 13 games against left-handed starter.

The Miami Marlins are fourth in the NL East with a 27-32 record. They have lost the last two games after winning the previous five. Miami is ranked 11th in the league scoring 4.58 runs per game and 14th in the league allowing 4.19 runs per game. Trevor Rogers will start for the Marlins tonight who is 3-5 for the season with a 5.58 ERA. Miami has lost 47 of the last 69 games going in as underdog and 58 of the last 83 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Philadelphia Phillies (-158)

Tampa Bay Rays @ New York Yankees – 7:05PM ET

The Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees will be playing the first game of their three game weekday series in this one. The two American League East powerhouses have met one time so far this season. Coming into meeting number two the season series is split at two wins each.

Tony Battalio

This is going to be one of the best series of the week and perhaps the entire month of June. As the Tampa Bay Rays will take on the New York Yankees in this American League East divisional clash. They both come into this game expected to be World Series contenders at the end of the season just like they are at the moment. The Rays come into this game with a record of 35-25 through their first 60 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The New York Yankees are coming into this game with a record of 44-16 through their first 60 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have been the best team in the league up until this point. They have won nine out of their last ten games on the year as they enter this one on a four game winning streak. As for the result of this game I am going with the New York Yankees to pick up the win with Gerrit Cole leading the way on the mound and Aaron Judge at the plate.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-230)

Jeffery Thomas

The New York Yankees enter this three-game series with their division rival with the best record in baseball (44-16) and winners of 11 of their last 12 games. Their confidence is at an all-time high and have won their last two games by a combined score of 26-4!

The Tampa Bay Rays are 9 games back of the Yankees for first place and their best hope for winning this series opener is the fact that Gerrit Cole is 1-6 with a 4.21 ERA in twelve career starts against the Rays. I don’t want to hold that against him too much though, especially with how good he’s been this year and how good New York is right now. Give me the Yanks to get another comfortable win at home on Tuesday.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees -1.5 (-110)

Marko Nadin

The New York Yankees are on top of the AL East with a 44-16 record. They have won 4 straight games and are coming off a 3-0 series win over the Chicago Cubs. The Yankees are third in the league scoring 5.09 runs per game and are ranked the best in the league allowing 2.99 runs per game. The Yankees will start Gerrit Cole tonight who is 5-1 for the season with a 3.63 ERA. They have won 13 of the last 17 games when their opponent allowed 2 runs or less in their previous game and 14 of the last 19 games against AL East opponents.

The Tampa Bay Rays are second in the AL East with a 35-25 record. They have won 4 of the last 6 games and are coming off a 2-1 series loss to the Minnesota Twins. The Rays are 21st in the league scoring 4.26 runs per game and are ranked 5th in the league allowing 3.89 runs per game. Tampa Bay will start Corey Kluber tonight who is 3-2 for the season with 3.88 ERA. The Rays have won 6 of the last 8 games against teams with a winning record and 56 of the last 82 games against AL East opponents.

Marko’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-230)

Milwaukee Brewers @ New York Mets – 7:10PM ET

The Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets will be playing the first game of their three game weekday series in this one. These two top teams in the National League will be meeting for the first of two times this season. As they will face off again in Milwaukee in late September.

Tony Battalio

The Milwaukee Brewers have fallen out of first place in the National League Central division after holding the lead for the majority of the season thus far. They are only a half game behind the St.Louis Cardinals at the moment, so it is not like all hope is lost for them yet. They come into this game with a record of 34-28 through their 62 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have only won two out of their last ten games on the season and will be looking to stop their slide in this series.

The New York Mets are the best team in the National League this season and the second best team in Major League Baseball, ironically also the second best team in New York City as well. The Mets come into this game with a record of 40-22 through their first 62 games of the season. They are currently on a one game winning streak and have won five out of their last ten games. As for the result of this game I am going with the Mets to get another victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-154)

Jeffery Thomas

The Milwaukee Brewers travel to New York to start up a series with the NL East leading Mets on Tuesday. The Brewers snapped an eight-game losing streak by defeating the Washington Nationals on Sunday 4-1 as they look to turn around their bad run in the month of June. It’s been a bit of a struggle for the Mets as well, as they went just 5-5 on their recent West Coast trip where they faced the Dodgers,

Padres and Angels. New York started that road trip up 10.5 games in the division but come back home just 5.5 games up on the Braves who are 11-0 in their last eleven ballgames. It’s hard to back the Brewers against the Mets in this spot given how bad they’ve been and I think we’re getting good value on the Mets here because of their recent stretch. They’ll bounce back in a big way back at home.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-154)

Marko Nadin

The New York Mets are on top of the NL East with a 40-22 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 series win over the Los Angeles Angels. The Mets are second in the league scoring 5.17 runs per game and are ranked 9th in the league allowing 4.09 runs per game. Chris Bassitt will start for the Mets tonight who is 4-4 for the season with a 4.35 ERA. The Mets have won 17 of the last 21 games when their opponent allows 2 runs or less in their previous game and 21 of the last 29 opening games of a series.

The Milwaukee Brewers are second in the NL Central with a 34-28 record. After losing eight consecutive games, the Brewers defeated the Washington Nationals 4-1 in their last game. The Brewers are 17th in the league scoring 4.38 runs per game and are ranked 15th in the league allowing 4.30 runs per game. Adrian Houser will be the starting pitcher for the Brewers tonight he is 3-6 for this season with a 3.92 ERA. Milwaukee has lost 5 of the last 6 games as a road underdog and 4 of the last 5 road games in general.

Marko’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-154)

San Diego Padres @ Chicago Cubs – 8:05PM ET

The San Diego Padres and Chicago Cubs will be playing the second game of their four game weekday series in this one. In game one it was the Padres who picked up the victory. Now they will be looking to secure at least a share of  the series victory here in game two on Tuesday evening.

Tony Battalio

The Chicago Cubs are coming into this game with a record of 23-37, through their first 60 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have had a rough year and they are far removed from the same team that won the World Series back in 2016, as that entire core is now gone. The Cubs are at the bottom of the National League standings and it is already looking like a lost season for them at this point.

The San Diego Padres are coming into this game with a record of 38-24 through their first 64 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. The Padres are tied for first place in the National League West at the moment. They have won seven out of their last ten games. They are currently on a one game winning streak at the moment. As for the result of this game I am going with the Padres to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: San Diego Padres (-134)

Jeffery Thomas

The San Diego Padres and Chicago Cubs started up their four-game series in the Midwest with San Diego pulling out the 4-1 road victory on Monday. Yu Darvish pitched 8 strong innings, striking out seven in his 6th victory of the year.

The Padres are heating up as of late and have now won eight of their last eleven games while the Cubs have now lost seven straight. A classic tale of two teams heading in wrong dorections and it’s another advantageous pitching matchup in favor of the Padres on Tuesday. The winning streak should continue for them as they send the Cubs further and further down the standings.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: San Diego Padres -1.5 (+125)

Marko Nadin

The Chicago Cubs are fourth in the NL Central with a 23-37 record. They have lost seven consecutive games including a 4-1 loss to the Padres in the series opener. The Cubs are 20th in the league scoring 4.27 runs per game and are ranked 25th allowing 5.03 runs per game. The Cubs will start Kyle Hendricks tonight who is 2-5 for the season with a 5.22 ERA. The Cubs have lost 44 of the last 63 home games and 19 of the last 26 second games of a series.

The San Diego Padres are second in the NL West with a 38-24 record. They have won 5 of the last 7 games and came to Chicago after a 2-2 series against the Colorado Rockies. The Padres are 18th in the league scoring 4.38 runs per game and are 4th in the league allowing 3.56 runs per game. San Diego will start Sean Manaea tonight who is 3-3 for the season with a 3.52 ERA. The Padres have won 4 of the last 5 games against right-handed starters and 7 of the last 10 games overall.

Marko’s MLB Pick: San Diego Padres (-134)

Los Angeles Angels @ Los Angeles Dodgers – 10:10PM ET

These two crosstown rivals will be playing the first game of their two game series in this one. Both teams had great starts to the season, but the Angels recent losing streak has derailed them a bit. This is the first of two times they have met this year.

Tony Battalio

The Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers will be meeting for the time this season as the Battle Of Los Angeles is set to commence with the first half of four games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Both teams are coming into this game with recent or current losing streaks that have thrown off their performances up to this point of the year. The Angels now come into this game with a record of 29-33 through their first 62 games of the season. While the Dodgers have one of the better records in baseball as they come into this one with a record of 37-23.

Both teams played well throughout the first few months of the season. While the Dodgers are on a small slide, the Angels just got done with a massive double digit losing streak. The Angels are currently in third place of the American League West, while the Dodgers are in first place of the National League West at the moment. As for the result of the first game of this series I am going with the Los Angeles Dodgers to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers (-200)

Jeffery Thomas

The two Los Angeles teams will start up their series on Tuesday with both clubs suffering from some slumping play recently. The Dodgers are coming off being swept by their division rival San Francisco Giants where their offense just produced four runs in the three games. The Angels recently had to fire manager Joe Maddon and we’re on a franchise-record 14 game losing streak.

Before the streak started the Halos were just one game back in the division but now currently sit 9 back of the Astros. The Angels have picked things up a little bit thanks to Mike Trout getting back on track and I don’t see a reason why they can’t keep this one close with their cross-town rivals. There’s no reason to have confidence in the Dodgers at the moment so give me the spread with the underdogs in this one.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels +1.5 (-125)

Marko Nadin

The Los Angeles Dodgers are on top of the NL West with a 37-23 record. They have lost 6 of the last 8 games and are coming off a 0-3 series loss to the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers are ranked on top of the league scoring 5.22 runs per game and are second in the league allowing 3.43 runs per game. They will start Tony Gonsolin tonight who is 7-0 for the season with a 1.58 ERA. The Dodgers have won 21 of the last 27 interleague home games against a team with a losing record and 45 of the last 60 games as home favorites.

The Los Angeles Angels are third in the AL West with a 29-33 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 1-2 series loss to the New York Mets. The Angels are 15th in the league scoring 4.46 runs per game and 17th in the league allowing 4.32 runs per game. The Angels will start Noah Syndergaard tonight who is 4-4 for the season with a 3.69 ERA. The Angels have lost 7 of the last 10 interleague road games against a team with a winning record and 13 of the last 16 games as an underdog.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers (-200)
