Baltimore Orioles @ Toronto Blue Jays – 3:07PM ET

The Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays will be playing the fourth and final game of their four game weekday series in this one. In game one it was the Blue Jays who got the win, while the Orioles tied the series in game two. In game three of the series the Blue Jays picked up the win to clinch at least a share of the series.

Tony Battalio

The Toronto Blue Jays picked up a big win in extra innings on Wednesday to officially clinch at least a share of this four game series. Now they will be looking to win Thursday’s game and officially pick up the series victory over their American League East division rivals. The win moves the Blue Jays record on the year to 37-25 as they are 12 games above the .500 mark through their first 62 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have now picked up six victories in their last 10 games of the year.

The Baltimore Orioles woeful season continued again on Wednesday evening as they lost a heartbreaker in extra innings to the Blue Jays. The loss dropped them to ten games below the .500 mark on the year with a record of 27-37 through their first 64 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are now a full 20 games behind the New York Yankees for first place in the division and they have won five out of their last 10 games on the year. I’m going with the Toronto Blue Jays to pick up the win and the series victory in this one.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (-260)

Jeffery Thomas

The Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles were involved in one of the most entertaining games on Wednesday. It was an extra inning game that ended with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. getting the walk-off single in the 10th inning.

The last two games between these two have been decided by one run with each team winning. The odds favor the Jays to win this fourth and final game of the series on Thursday though as they are rolling out Kevin Gausman on the mound. He’s lost his last two starts but facing the Orioles offers a great bounce-back spot and I think this win will be a lot easier to come by.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 (-126)

Marko Nadin

The Toronto Blue Jays are second in the AL East with a 37-25 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are leading 2-1 in the series against the Baltimore Orioles. The Blue Jays are 10th in the league scoring 4.69 runs per game and are ranked 8th with 3.96 allowed runs per game. Toronto will start Kevin Gausman tonight who is 5-5 for the season with a 2.67 ERA. The Blue Jays have won 38 of the last 51 home games against teams with a losing record and 5 of the last 7 fourth games of a series.

The Baltimore Orioles are at the bottom of the AL East with a 27-37 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games but are coming off a 7-6, 10th inning loss to the Blue Jays last night. The Orioles are 26th in the league scoring 4.11 runs per game and are ranked 24th in the league allowing 4.87 runs per game. Baltimore will start Tyler Wells tonight who is 3-4 for the season with a 4.86 ERA. The Orioles have lost 88 of the last 122 games against teams with a winning record and 10 of the last 13 fourth games of a series.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles (+215)

Cleveland Guardians @ Colorado Rockies – 3:10PM ET

The Cleveland Guardians and Colorado Rockies will be playing the third and final game of their three game weekday series in this one. The Guardians got the win in game one and in game two it was the Guardians who picked up another victory to set up a shot at a sweep on Thursday.

Tony Battalio

The Cleveland Guardians have been one of the hotter teams in Major League Baseball as of late. They have now won their fifth straight series after their victory in Colorado on Wednesday evening. They will be looking to complete another three game sweep when they take the field on Thursday afternoon. Their win put them four games above the .500 mark as they come into this series finale with a record of 31-27 through their first 58 games of the season.

The Colorado Rockies are long removed from the very fast start they had to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. These days they find themselves nine games below the .500 mark and in last place of the National League West division. They come into this game with a record of 27-36 through their first 63 games of the season. They are on a two game losing streak and have won only four out of their last 10 games on the year. As for the result of this game, I have the Cleveland Guardians completing the three game sweep.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Cleveland Guardians (-126)

Jeffery Thomas

The Cleveland Guardians have been one of the better teams in the month of June under the radar with a record of 10-3. This includes their 7-5 win on Wednesday over the Colorado Rockies that pushed their record on the year to 31-27. That is good for second place in the AL Central just 2.5 back of the Minnesota Twins and Thursday’s game is another opportunity to get a win on the last place Rockies.

With Triston McKenzie on the mound I like the Guardians’ chances as he is a future ace in this league who routinely flashes his potential. The Rockies do not pose much of a threat as they are losers of four of their last six and I see Cleveland finishing off this series with a clean sweep.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Cleveland Guardians (-126)

Marko Nadin

The Colorado Rockies are at the bottom of the NL West with a 27-36 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games including the first two games of the series against the Guardians. Colorado is 13th in the league scoring 4.53 runs per game and is ranked 29th in the league allowing 5.60 runs per game. The Rockies will start Chad Kuhl tonight who is 4-3 for the season with a 3.70 ERA. Colorado has won 4 of the last 5 third games of a series and has lost 12 of the last 17 interleague games against a team with a winning record.

The Cleveland Guardians are second in the AL Central with a 31-27 record. They have won 6 of the last 7 games and have scored at least 4 runs in the last 4 games. Cleveland is 9th in the league scoring 4.71 runs per game and is ranked 10th in the league allowing 4.11 runs per game. The Guardians will start Triston McKenzie tonight who is 3-5 for the season with a 3.09 ERA. Cleveland has won 6 of the last 7 games against a right-handed pitcher and 5 of the last 6 against a team with a losing record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Colorado Rockies (+108)

Philadelphia Phillies @ Washington Nationals – 7:05PM ET

The Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Nationals will be playing the first game of their five game weekend series that includes a doubleheader on Friday. These teams come into this one in opposite directions as the Phillies just got off of a winning streak, while the Nationals are looking as rough as they have all year.

Tony Battalio

The Philadelphia Phillies are coming off of the recent hot streak as they had into this weekend’s series with the National League East division rivals, the Washington Nationals. They are coming into this game having won eight out of their last ten games on the season and with a record of 32-31 through their first 63 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are also on a one game winning streak at the moment.

The Washington Nationals are in the midst of a rough season at the moment. As they come into this game and  series well below the .500 mark with a record of 23-42 through their first 65 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. The Nationals currently find themselves on a four game losing streak as they have only picked up three victories in their last 10 games of the season. I don’t look for it to get much better for them in this one as I have the Phillies picking up the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Philadelphia Phillies (-205)

Jeffery Thomas

One swing of the bat on Wednesday accounted for all the runs by the Philadelphia Phillies in their 3-1 victory over the Miami Marlins. Garrett Stubbs was the guy who connected on that three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to walk things off and give them their fourth straight series win.

The Phillies have been one of the best teams in baseball since firing Joe Girardi and that will continue in this matchup with the Washington Nationals. The Nats have lost four straight and have the worst record in the National League. I see this game as a pretty straightforward victory for the red-hot Phillies on the road.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Philadelphia Phillies (-205)

Marko Nadin

The Washington Nationals are at the bottom of the NL East with a 23-42 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 3-0 series loss to the Atlanta Braves. The Nationals are 21th in the league scoring 4.25 runs per game and are the worst team in the league allowing 5.86 runs per game. Washington will start Patrick Corbin tonight who is 3-8 for the season with a 6.65 ERA. The Nats have lost 41 of the last 58 home games and 22 of the last 30 opening games of a series.

The Philadelphia Phillies are third in the NL East with a 32-31 record. They have won 11 of the last 13 games and are coming off a 2-1 series win against the Miami Marlins. The Phillies are 5th in the league scoring 4.88 runs per game and 20th in the league allowing 4.41 runs per game. Zach Wheeler will be the Phillies’ starter tonight who is 5-3 for the season with a 2.84 ERA. Philadelphia has won the last 4 opening games of a series and have lost the last 4 games against teams with a losing record under 40%.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Philadelphia Phillies (-205)

Tampa Bay Rays @ New York Yankees – 7:05PM ET

The Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees will be playing the third and final game of their three game series in this one. The New York Yankees picked up the win in game one, and in game two it was the Yankees who picked up another win to clinch the series victory.

Tony Battalio

The Tampa Bay Rays just can’t seem to figure out how to beat the New York Yankees at the moment. As they suffered another loss on Wednesday evening to the best team in Major League Baseball. It was their second straight loss on the year and dropped their record down to 35-27 through their first 62 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. It has been A little bit of a rough patch for Tampa Bay as they have only won four out of their last 10 games on the season. They will now be looking to regroup here on Thursday and pick up a victory over the Yankees on the road.

The games keep coming and so do the wins as the New York Yankees added another victory on Wednesday evening. The win extends their league best record to 46-16, as they are now 30 games above the .500 mark. They have picked up victories and nine out of their last 10 games of the year and currently find themselves on a six game winning streak entering Thursday afternoon‘s contest. As for the result of this game I look for the Yankees to complete the sweep and pick up another victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Yankees (-270)

Jeffery Thomas

The New York Yankees have now won 13 of their last 14 games after the 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night. Aaron Judge added to his league-lead in home runs by hitting his 25th as Nestor Cortes outdueled Rays’ starter Shane McClanahan in the low-scoring affair.

The first two games of this series have produced just a total of nine runs and we will once again see a great pitching matchup going at it in the finale. Luis Severino (4-1 2.80 ERA) will square off against the Rays bullpen platoon that will be led by Jalen Beeks (1-1 1.38 ERA). Unders have been a theme this series and there’s no reason to go against the trend now so let’s run it back as both teams are stellar defensively and on the mound.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Under Runs (-104)

Marko Nadin

The New York Yankees are on top of the AL East with a 46-16 record. They have won 6 straight games and are coming off back-to-back wins over the Rays. The Yankees are third in the league scoring 5.03 runs per game and are ranked the best in the league allowing 2.94 runs per game. The Yankees will start Luis Severino tonight who is 4-1 for the season with a 2.80 ERA. They have won the last 4 third games of a series and 17 of the last 22 games against teams with a winning record.

The Tampa Bay Rays are third in the AL East with a 35-27 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 4-3 loss to the Yankees last night. The Rays are 22nd in the league scoring 4.18 runs per game and are ranked 5th in the league allowing 3.88 runs per game. Tampa Bay will start Jalen Beeks tonight who is 1-1 for the season with 1.38 ERA. The Rays have won 41 of the last 60 third games of a series and have lost 5 of the last 6 road games as underdogs.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Tampa Bay Rays (+220)

Texas Rangers @ Detroit Tigers – 7:10PM ET

The Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers will be playing game one of their four game weekend series here in this one. The Rangers are coming off of a series with the Houston Astros. While the Tigers are coming off of a series with the Chicago White Sox.

Tony Battalio

The Texas Rangers will be looking to regroup after a rough three-game series with their in-state rivals, the Houston Astros. They will face the Detroit Tigers in this four game weekend series as they head back to the Midwest fresh off of a pair of series with the Chicago White Sox and the Cleveland Guardians. The Rangers will enter this game with a record of 29-33 through their first 62 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently on a two game losing streak and have won only four out of their last ten games on the year.

It certainly hasn’t been much better for the Detroit Tigers. Despite playing in one of the worst divisions in Major League Baseball they still happen to be one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball at the moment. Detroit comes into this game 14 games below the .500 mark and in fourth place of the American League Central division. They currently have a record of 24-38 as they have lost their last four games in a row and have won only three out of their last ten on the year. As for the result of this game I have the Texas Rangers picking up the win over the Tigers.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Texas Rangers (-142)

Jeffery Thomas

The Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers both suffered blowout losses in their games on Wednesday but will now start up a fresh series against each other in Comerica Park on Thursday. The Tigers were shutout 13-0 by the Chicago White Sox in an AL Central battle, one day after scoring just one run. They were swept out and outscored 27-6 in those three games.

The Rangers also lost their series to the Astros but were a bit more competitive and was actually able to steal the opening game. The Rangers have the much more potent lineup of the two teams and should be able to get the best of Beau Brieske who is just 1-5 on the season. Give me the Rangers to get this road win on Thursday.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Texas Rangers (-142)

Marko Nadin

The Detroit Tigers are fourth in the AL Central with a 24-38 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games but are coming off a 3-0 series loss to the Chicago White Sox. The Tigers are the worst offensive team in the league scoring only 2.78 runs per game and are ranked 18th in the league allowing 4.34 runs per game. Beau Brieske will start tonight for the Tigers who is 1-5 for the season with a 4.34 ERA so far in the season. Detroit has lost 13 of the last 19 games against right-handed pitcher and the last 4 home games.

The Texas Rangers are second in the AL West with a 29-33 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 series loss to the Houston Astros. The Rangers are 18th in the league scoring 4.34 runs per game and are ranked 19th in the league allowing 4.37 runs per game. The Rangers will start Martin Perez who is 4-2 for the season with a 2.18 ERA. Texas has lost 100 of the last 146 road games and 55 of the last 76 road games against a right-handed pitcher.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Detroit Tigers (+120)
