Toronto Blue Jays @ Kansas City Royals – 2:10PM ET

After dropping game one of this four-game series, Toronto stormed back to take the previous two games and now have the opportunity to take three out of four games from the Kansas City Royals. It would be a nice way to close out their road trip within the state of Missouri, where they have spent the first seven games of the season after opening up the year against the St. Louis Cardinals. The Blue Jays pitching looked absolutely dominant yesterday as the Royals failed to get on the board in Toronto cruised to an easy victory after a pitchers duel throughout the first six innings of the game. 

Kansas City is having a rough start to the season and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get much better and less they can squeak out a win over Toronto to split their four-game series in this one. Kevin Gausman will be on the mound for the Toronto Blue Jays as he is set to make a second appearance of the season. Meanwhile, Jordan Lyles takes the mound for Kansas City as he is also set to make his second appearance of the season in this one. I look for Gausman to have himself a solid game as I have Toronto picking up the victory here in game number four on Thursday.

San Francisco Giants @ Chicago White Sox – 2:10PM ET

The San Francisco Giants and the Chicago White Sox have scored a lot of runs in this series as they have combined for 25 runs in the first two games. Now they head into the finale even at one victory a piece in the winner of the third and final game will also take the three game series. You can expect this one to be high scoring as well much like the first two games of the series have been. Alex Wood will be making his season debut for the San Francisco Giants on the mound, and Lance Lynn will be making his second appearance of the season for the Chicago White Sox on the mound. This one can arguably go either way, as both teams are very capable of putting up enough runs to get themselves a much needed victory in this one.

In last night’s game, it was all Chicago as the White Sox jumped out to an early lead, and held tough throughout the later innings of the game to get a victory over the San Francisco Giants. Now they will be looking to pick up thier Second consecutive victory over San Francisco and take two out of three games in the series and continue their hot start to the season. They currently said I have a game back from first place in the American League Central division behind the Cleveland Guardians. I look for Chicago to get the victory in this one and take the series from San Francisco.

Washington Nationals @ Colorado Rockies – 4:10PM ET

As expected, it has been a very rough start to the season for the Washington Nationals as they come into the game against the Colorado Rockies already positioned as one of the worst teams in all of baseball. Through their first six games of the season, they only have accomplished one victory and it doesn’t look like it’s going to get better for them anytime soon. Their pitching has been absolutely obliterated and their hitting just isn’t up to par either. Josiah Gray will be taking them out for this one in his second appearance of the season, as he looks to get the Nationals back on track.

The Colorado Rockies are having a somewhat disappointing start to the season as well, but they have had a tough schedule to start things off. Kyle Freeland will be making his second appearance of the season for the Colorado Rockies in this game as he looks to get them a victory in game number one against the Washington Nationals. Through the first six games of the year they’ve only picked up two victories, and now they will be looking to grab victory number three here against Washington. Which is exactly what I expect as I think Colorado will get back on the right track with a win here in this game.

San Diego Padres @ Atlanta Braves – 7:20PM ET

Game one of the series here on Thursday should be one of the better games of the evening as two of the top teams in the National League get set to face off in Atlanta. Both the San Diego Padres and the Atlanta Braves have high hopes for this season and both of them are off to a decent start to the season as well. It has been more so Atlanta that has found early-season success, but San Diego has held their own and they are coming into this game sitting at .500 through the first six games of the year. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Braves have picked up a victory in five out of the first six games on the season and now they will look to keep the momentum rolling here in game one as well.

The pitching matchup should be an exciting one as Blake Snell takes the mound for the San Diego Padres, and Spencer Strider makes his second appearance of the season for the Atlanta Braves. As previously mentioned, both Blake Snell and Spencer Strider have made appearances this season. However, those appearances went quite differently for both of them, as Blake Snell picked up a loss and Spencer Strider picked up a victory to open up the year. Both of them struck out nine batters in their first start of the season, but when it came down to it was earned runs, and Spencer Strider didn’t give up a single run in his first appearance. I look for that type of momentum to continue for him in this one, as I have Atlanta grabbing the victory.

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Arizona Diamondbacks – 10:10PM ET

This one should provide us with one of the better pitching matchups of the evening as they have already seen each other several times this season. This will be the second series of the year between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks and Dustin May and Merrill Kelly will both be making their second starts against those respective teams. Last time both of these guys pitched in their games, they both provided solid performances and now they will be looking to follow up on that with yet another solid performance against each other this time around. 

Both teams are having a somewhat decent start to the season, but it’s kind of expected for the Dodgers to have a solid start to the year. Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks have been somewhat of a pleasant surprise. Los Angeles comes into this game having picked up four victories in their first six games of the season and Arizona comes into this game having picked up three victories in their first six games of the season. They should be very familiar with each other as they’ve already faced off three times in the opening series of the season. I look for both pictures to have a solid game in this one and for the total runs to stay under the run line here on Thursday.
