The San Francisco Giants and New York Mets will be playing game four of their four game series. The New York Mets currently hold a 2-1 series lead and will be looking to clinch the series in this one. While the Giants will be looking to grab a split.

Tony Battalio

The San Francisco Giants are coming into this game with a record of 8-4 through their first 12 games of the season. They are having a fantastic series with the Mets right now as they have the opportunity to grab a 2-2 split in the series finale today. San Francisco looks like they are on track to be the best team in baseball in the regular season for the second straight year in a row if they keep playing the way they are. Taking the ball for them is Anthony DeSclafani who is 0-0 on the year with a 4.32 Earned Run Average.

The New York Mets have looked like one of the best teams in baseball so far this year as they come into this game with a record of 9-4 through their first 13 games of the season. They swept a doubleheader on Tuesday but dropped game three on Wednesday. Now they will look to clinch the series 3-1 on Thursday afternoon. As for the result of this one however, I am taking the San Francisco Giants to pick up the victory over the New York Mets.

Tony’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants (+110)

Marko Nadin

The San Francisco Giants defeated the New York Mets 5-2 last night after the Mets won the first two games of the series. The Giants are now second in the NL West with an 8-4 record. San Francisco has the best defense so far in the season allowing only 2.49 runs per game and 0.25 home runs per game. San Francisco will start Anthony DeSclafani who has 4.32 ERA so far in the season. The Giants have won 6 of the last 8 fourth games of a series and 12 of the last 16 games against teams from the NL East.

The New York Mets are on top of the NL East with a 9-4 record. Last night’s loss to the Giant was their first after winning the previous three games. The Mets are second in the league allowing 2.72 runs per game and are ranked first with 10.4 strikeout per game. The Mets will start Carlos Carrasco who has 0.84 ERA so far in the season. The Mets have won 6 of the last 7 games overall and 38 of the last 55 home games. They have lost 14 of the last 20 games against teams with a winning record over 60%.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Under 7.5 runs (-108)

Toronto comes into this game with a record of 7-5 through their first 12 games of the season. They will be looking to clinch this series against the Boston Red Sox. Toronto is one of the best young teams in baseball this season and they are one of the favorites to bring home the American League pennant and the World Series trophy as well. Taking the ball in this one for them will be Kevin Gausman who is 0-1 on the season with a 4.22 Earned Run Average.

The Boston Red Sox are coming into this game with a record of 6-6 through their first 12 games of the season. They will be looking to pick up the win and the series win in this game. The Arizona Diamondbacks and Washington Nationals are playing the fourth and final game of their four game series in this one. The Arizona Diamondbacks were swept in a doubleheader on Tuesday and came back with a win on Wednesday. As the Nationals hold a 2-1 advance.

Tony Battalio

The Arizona Diamondbacks are expected to be one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball this season. They come into this game with a record of 6-8 through their first 14 games of the season. Arizona is handing the ball off to Zach Davies who is 0-1 on the season in two starts with a 5.79 Earned Run Average. Arizona put themselves in a great position to split the series after their 11-2 win on Wednesday. They will have to be better if they want to compete in a tough National League West.

The Washington Nationals are coming into this game with a record of 6-8 through their first 14 games of the season as they are two games below .500 early on. Washington is giving the ball to Josh Rogers who is 1-1 on the season through two starts. He has an Earned Run Average of 3.72 on the season. Washington is only two years off of a World Series win but the roster looks entirely different at this point. As for the result of this one I am taking the Arizona Diamondbacks to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks (+116)

Marko Nadin

After winning the first two games of the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks by 6-1 and 1-0, the Washington nationals lost last night by 11-2. Now the Nats are second in the NL East with a 6-8 record. They are ranked 19th in the league with 3.91 runs per game and 27th allowing 5.31 runs per game. They are scoring only 2.83 runs per game which ranked them second to last in the league and are 18th in the league allowing 4.29 runs per game. They are one of the most consistent teams in Major League Baseball from year to year. They will be looking to complete the sweep in this one as they’ve already taken the first two games from the Miami Marlins. Taking the ball for this one will be Jordan Hicks who is 1-0 on the year with a 0-0 Earned Run Average.

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs are playing the first game of their four game series in this one. Both teams will be looking to pick up a huge series win in this division rivalry matchup.

Tony Battalio

The Pittsburgh Pirates were expected to be one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball. They are coming into this one with a record of 5-7 as they are two games below .500 through their first 12 games of the season. Pittsburgh has looked somewhat decent throughout the first couple weeks of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They come into this one on a three game losing streak at the moment that they will be looking to break in this game. Taking the hill for them in game one of this series will be Bryse Wilson.

The Chicago Cubs are coming into this game with a record of 6-6 through their first 12 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. Chicago comes into this one on a two game losing streak at the moment which means one of these two National League Central rivals will break their losing streak in this one. Taking the ball for them in this series opening game will be Mark Leiter. He is 0-1 on the season with a 18.90 Earned Run Average. As for the result of this one I’m taking the Pittsburgh Pirates in this one.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Pittsburgh Pirates (+120)

Marko Nadin

The Chicago Cubs are third in the NL Central splitting the first 12 games of the season. They are coming off a 1-2 series against the Tampa Bay Rays losing the last one by 8-2.
