This Sunday afternoon clash between the Washington Nationals and the New York Yankees will be the third and final game of this mini series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Washington Nationals won, 11-4. The second game was played on Saturday and was much closer, actually needing to go to eleven innings, where the New York Yankees fought back to scrape a win, 4-3.
The Nationals were able to bounce back from losing all three games against the Atlanta Braves in the previous mini series. Their win on Friday against the Yankees was much needed. The Nationals current record, 13-16, puts them tied for fourth place, which is two and a half games behind the first place Phillies.

The New York Yankees have had a pretty good start to May so far, winning five of their first seven games. It was impressive to see the team grind out the win on Saturday against the Nationals to take the game to the decider on Sunday afternoon.
They bounced back very well, considering their big loss to the Nationals in the first game. With the confidence back in the team, and the fact they are playing at home, we like them to pull out another win here.

Arizona Diamondbacks @ New York Mets – 1.10PM ET
This Sunday afternoon clash between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the New York Mets will be the third and final game of this mini series. The first game was played on Friday, where the New York Mets won in ten innings, 5-4. The second game was played on Saturday where the New York Mets won yet again, 4-2.
The Diamondbacks are not having the start to the month they would have hoped for, and they are currently on a five game losing streak. They just can’t seem to get runs on the board at the moment, and when they score three runs or less, they have lost nine games in a row. Despite this, there has been a shining light for the Diamondbacks, in the form of David Peralta, who leads the team with 31 hits and 22 RBI.
The New York Mets are currently on a four game winning streak, they have won six of their last eight games. Pete Alonso is having a great season for the Mets so far, with 26 hits and 17 RBI.
When the Mets are lined up offensively and score four or more runs in a game, they have won eight of their last nine games, which just shows how dominant they are when they have runs on the board. We think the Mets are good enough to take the clean sweep of the Diamondbacks here.

Minnesota Twins @ Detroit Tigers – 1.10PM ET
This Sunday afternoon clash between the Minnesota Twins and the Detroit Tigers will be the third and final game of this mini series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Minnesota Twins won, 7-3. The second game was played on Saturday where the Detroit Tigers fought back and won with the same scoreline at the first game, 7-3.
The Twins are in a bit of a slump at the moment, losing four of their last five games. They are suffering from a bit of inconsistency, and they are struggling to get a string of wins together. The Twins do not have a good record when they can only manage three runs or less in a game, when this happens they have lost eight games straight.

The Detroit Tigers are struggling so far this month, winning only two of their first seven games so far in May. A lot of their recent games have been high scorings, just showing that their defence needs to strengthen to allow for more wins.
If you look back at their last sixteen games, they have lost thirteen of them, so to say the Tigers need a win would certainly be an understatement. Jeimer Candelario is currently leading the Detroit Tigers with 37 hits and 12 RBI. If you are looking at both these teams on paper, the Twins have the better side, so we will be backing them, but it could really go either way.

Toronto Blue Jays @ Houston Astros – 2.10PM ET
This Sunday afternoon clash between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Houston Astros will be the third and final game of this mini series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Houston Astros won, 10-4. The second game was played on Saturday where the Toronto Blue Jays bounced back to win, 8-4.
The Blue Jays have had a fairly good start to the month, winning six of their last nine games. A number of their most recent games have been quite high scoring, which makes for a very interesting watch! Randal Grichuk is leading the way for the Toronto Blue Jays, he has 36 hits and 28 RBI.
The Astros have a little bit of inconsistency creeping into their season, they have won five of their last ten games. Houston are one of the teams that likes to take full advantage of playing at home, and they have a number of star players that are good enough to put together a good enough game to beat the Blue Jays and take home the win on Sunday afternoon. We are liking the look of the Houston Astros here for this game.

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Los Angeles Angels – 4.07PM ET
This Sunday afternoon clash between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Angels will be the third and final game of this mini series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Los Angeles Angels won, 9-2. The second game was played on Saturday where the Los Angeles Dodgers bounced back to win, 14-11.
The Los Angeles Dodgers aren’t having the best start to the month, only winning two of their last eight games. Their win on Saturday helped to snap a four game losing streak. Many people would expect to see more from the 2020 World Series Champions, and many are hoping they can fight back to extend their winning season record.

The Los Angeles Angels also need to get a win in the books, after losing seven of their last nine games. No surprises that Mike Trout is leading the way for the Angels right now, but he alone hasn’t helped get the Angels into a winning season record.
Trout needs more help from other members of the team if they want to turn their season around. The Dodgers are favourites for this game, especially given their performance on Saturday, but they are all over the shop at the moment, so we like the look of an upset at the hands of the Los Angeles Angels.
