Philadelphia Phillies @ Washington Nationals – 12:05PM ET

The Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Nationals will be playing the fifth and final game of their five game weekend series here on Sunday. Philadelphia has already clinched the series with a win on Friday and a doubleheader sweep on Saturday.

Tony Battalio

The Philadelphia Phillies have absolutely dominated this series as they won the first four games and will now be looking to pick up a five game sweep in this one. The Phillies come into this game with a record of 36-31 through their first 67 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have been sort of hot throughout the month of June as they have a record of 15-2 through 17 games in the month. They have won eight out of their last ten games on the year.

The Washington Nationals are having a miserable season at the moment. They come into this game having lost their last eight games on the season and are 23 games below the .500 mark. Washington has won two out of their last ten games on the year and they come into this series finale with a record of 23-46 through their first 69 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As for the result of this game I am going with the Philadelphia Phillies to pick up the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Philadelphia Phillies (-180)

Jeffery Thomas

The Philadelphia Phillies have now beat the Washington Nationals four times in the past three days and will go for the rare 5-game sweep on Sunday. Saturday’s game was low-scoring and needed extra innings to be decided and was the second straight game in this series decided by one-run.

Signs are pointing to the finale being a bit more lopsided as the Nats will be throwing out rookie Jackson Tetreault for the second time this year. In his only outing he allowed 7 runs in just four innings against the Braves and he should struggle once again against the red-hot Phillies.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Philadelphia Phillies -1.5 (-110)

Marko Nadin

The Washington Nationals are at the bottom of the NL East with a 23-46 record. They have lost the last 8 games including 4 in the series against the Phillies. The Nationals are 21th in the league scoring 4.21 runs per game and are the worst team in the league allowing 5.93 runs per game. Washington will start Jackson Tetreault tonight who is 0-1 for the season with a 15.75 ERA. The Nats have lost 38 of the last 55 games and 45 of the last 62 home games.

The Philadelphia Phillies are third in the NL East with a 36-31 record. They hsre on a five-game winning streak including the forst four of the series against Washington. The Phillies are 4th in the league scoring 5.00 runs per game and 20th in the league allowing 4.37 runs per game. Zach Elfin will be the Phillies’ starter tonight who is 2-4 for the season with a 3.98 ERA. Philadelphia has won the last 9 games against a right-handed starter and 12 of the last 14 games as a favorite.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Washington Nationals (+152)

San Francisco Giants @ Pittsburgh Pirates – 1:35PM ET

The San Francisco Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates will be playing the third and final game of their three game series here in this one. The Giants got the victory in game one and in game two the Giants added another win to clinch the season series.

Tony Battalio

The San Francisco Giants have gotten this series off to a fantastic start as they have won the first two games and now they have a shot to complete the sweep on Sunday in the series finale. The Giants come into this game with a record of 37-27 through their first 64 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won eight out of their last ten games of the season, and are currently on a two game winning streak at the moment.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are in the midst of another losing season so far this year. They come into this game with a record of 25-39 through their first 64 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won only one of their last ten games on the season and they are currently on a two game losing streak at the moment. As for the result of this game I am going with the San Francisco Giants to pick up the victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Tony’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants (-178)

Jeffery Thomas

Friday night was the San Francisco Giants showing they could win a 2-0 pitching duel over the Pittsburgh Pirates but on Saturday it was a whole different story. This time they brought the bats out and won a high-scoring affair 7-5 on the road as Alex Wood got his record on the year up to 5-5.

This is win number seven for San Fran in their last eight games and Sunday they will go for their second sweep in three series. The Pirates are just trying to turn things around as they’ve now lost eleven of their last twelve games and are on the verge of falling to 4th place in the NL Central. There’s not much reason to ever pick a team that is on such a bad stretch of losing and until things get turned around I will continue to fade them (it’s been very successful).

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants -1.5 (-104)

Marko Nadin

The Pittsburgh Pirates are third in the NL Central with a 25-39 record. They have lost 11 of the last 12 games including the first two of the series against the Giants. The Pirates are 28th in the league scoring 3.47 runs per game and 25th allowing 5.15 runs per game. They will start Mitch Keller tonight who is 2-5 for the season with a 5.07 ERA. The Pirates have lost 5 of the last 7 games played on Sunday and 9 of the last 10 games going in as underdogs.

The San Francisco Giants are third in the NL West with a 37-27 record. They have won 7 of the last 8 games and are coming off back-to-back wins over the Pirates. The Giants are the fifth-best offensive team in the league scoring 4.90 runs per game and are ranked 13th in the league allowing 4.23 runs per game. They will start Alex Cobb tonight who is 3-2 for the season with a 5.73 ERA. San Francisco has won 19 of the last 26 games played on Sunday and 42 of the last 62 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: San Francisco Giants (-178)

Texas Rangers @ Detroit Tigers – 1:40PM ET

The Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers will be playing game four of their four game weekend series here in this one. The Rangers have picked up the first two wins of the series to clinch at least a share of the series. In game three the Tigers got the win to keep the hopes of a series split alive.

Tony Battalio

The Texas Rangers are coming into this game looking to secure a three games to one series victory over the Detroit Tigers. The Rangers currently have a record of 31-34 through their first 65 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won five out of their last ten games and are currently on a one game losing streak after their loss to the Tigers on Saturday evening.

The Detroit Tigers are coming into this game looking to ride their momentum from their win on Saturday into the series finale on Sunday. They are in the midst of a rough season at the moment as they come into this game with a record of 25-40 through their first 65 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As for the result of this game I am going with the Texas Rangers to pick up the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Texas Rangers (-158)

Jeffery Thomas

The Detroit Tigers had lost the first two games of this series with the Texas Rangers but bounced back in a big way on Saturday winning 14-7. It was a rare good day at the plate for the Tigers who hadn’t scored over 5 runs in a game since way back on May 30 against the Minnesota Twins.

They’ll now look for a series split on Sunday but it will be an uphill battle with Drew Hutchinson getting the start. He’s got an 0-4 record on the year with a 4.58 ERA but will be opposed by Dane Dunning and his 1-4 record and 4.04 ERA. With the total sitting this low for a couple of teams that just scored over 20 combined runs, I have to take the over here. These pitchers will not be engaging in any sort of pitching duel so we should cash this easily.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Over Total Runs (-104)

Marko Nadin

The Detroit Tigers are fourth in the AL Central with a 25-40 record. They are coming off a 14-7 win over the Rangers last night which put an end to their 6-game losing streak. The Tigers are the worst offensive team in the league scoring only 2.71 runs per game and are ranked 19th in the league allowing 4.36 runs per game. Drew Hutchinson will start tonight for the Tigers who is 0-4 for the season with a 4.58 ERA so far in the season. Detroit has lost 20 of the last 28 home games against teams with a losing record and 13 of the last 16 fourth games of a series.

The Texas Rangers are second in the AL West with a 31-34 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are currently leading 2-1 in the series against the Tigers. The Rangers are 18th in the league scoring 4.36 runs per game and are ranked 14th in the league allowing 4.25 runs per game. The Rangers will start Dane Dunning who is 1-4 for the season with a 4.04 ERA. Texas has won 5 of the last 7 games as a favorite and 4 of the last 5 against teams with a losing record under 40%.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Texas Rangers (-158)

Milwaukee Brewers @ Cincinnati Reds – 1:40PM ET

The Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds will be playing the third and final game of their three game weekend series here on Sunday afternoon. In game one it was the Milwaukee Brewers who came away with the win and in game two the Brewers picked up the win as well to clinch the series.

Tony Battalio

The Milwaukee Brewers are riding high coming into the series finale as they have already clinched the series and have a shot to secure the sweep here in game three on Sunday. The Brewers are having a solid season as they come into this game with a record of 37-30 through their first 67 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won four of their last ten games on the season and they are currently on a two game winning streak at the moment.

The Cincinnati Reds are coming into this game looking to grab a win to close out the series with some momentum after losing the first two games. They are having a rough season and they come into this game with a record of 23-42 through their first 65 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently on a three game losing streak and have won only three out of their last ten games on the season. As for the result of this game I am going with the Milwaukee Brewers to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers (-146)

Jeffery Thomas

The Milwaukee Brewers came into Saturday’s game against the Cincinnati Reds with a 5-2 record in the head-to-head and built on that with another win on the road. Each batter from 2-5 in the batting lineup from Milwaukee recorded an RBI in the game and helped contribute to pushing their record to 37-30. The Reds have now lost 3 in a row and in fact this is their third losing streak of at least three in the month of June. Their inconsistencies that plagued them in the start of the year have popped back up and now they are on the brink of being swept by their division rivals.

That’s what I see happening as Mike Minor gets the nod as the starter for Cincinnati on Sunday. He’s only made three starts and has given up an average of 4 earned runs in each outing. Only one of those outings has gone past the 5th inning so he’s getting tagged early and then the bullpen isn’t able to keep things in check. This should be a relatively easy win for the Brewers.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers -1.5 (-146)

Marko Nadin

The Cincinnati Reds are at the bottom of the NL Central with a 23-42 record. They have lost the last 3 games including 2 against the Brewers. Cincinnati is 14th in the league scoring 4.55 runs per game and is ranked 28th in the league allowing 5.47 runs per game. The Reds will start Mike Minor tonight who is 1.-2 for the season with a 7.36 ERA. Cincinnati has lost 11 of the last 16 home games against teams with a winning record and 4 of the last 5 third games of a series.

The Milwaukee Brewers are second in the NL Central with a 37-30 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off back-to-back wins over the Reds. The Brewers are 16th in the league scoring 4.42 runs per game and are ranked 15th in the league allowing 4.28 runs per game. Adrian Hauser will be the starting pitcher for the Brewers tonight who is 3-7 for this season with a 4.21 ERA. Milwaukee has won 6 of the last 8 games against NL Central opponents and 22 of the last 32 games played on Sunday.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Cincinnati Reds (+124)

Minnesota Twins @ Arizona Diamondbacks –  4:10PM ET

The Minnesota Twins and Arizona Diamondbacks will be playing the third and final game of their three game series here on Sunday. In game one of the series it was the Arizona Diamondbacks who got the victory. In game two the Minnesota Twins evened up the series.

Tony Battalio

The Minnesota Twins got a huge win over the Arizona Diamondbacks in game two of the series on Saturday evening. They extended their lead over the Cleveland Guardians with a win and the Guardians loss to the Dodgers. They come into this game with a record of 38-29 through their first 67 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won six out of their last ten games on the year and are currently on a one game winning streak at the moment.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are coming into this game looking to bounce back after their loss on Saturday. They won Friday’s opener so they still have a shot to win the series here on Sunday afternoon. The Diamondbacks come into this game with a record of 31-36 through their first 67 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. As for the result of this game I am going with the Minnesota Twins to pick up the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Minnesota Twins (-118)

Jeffery Thomas

The Minnesota Twins used a 6-run third inning to race out in front of the Arizona Diamondbacks and win the game 11-1. This win on Saturday avenged their 7-2 loss the night before and sets up a game Sunday to determine the winner of this series. When looking at the pitching matchup, it wouldn’t surprise me to see this game go similarly to Saturday’s.

The Twins excel against right-handed pitchers and will now face Merrill Kelly who is coming off an outing where he gave up 8 hits and 5 earned runs. Chris Archer on the other hand, has only given up a combined three runs in his last 3 starts and should be able to do enough to keep this Arizona offense at bay. I like the Twins in this one.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Minnesota Twins (-118)

Marko Nadin

The Arizona Diamondbacks are fourth in the NL West with a 31-36 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and have split the first two games of the series against the Twins. The Diamondbacks are 22nd in the league scoring 4.19 runs per game and 26st allowing 4.66 runs per game. Arizona will start Merrill Kelly tonight who is 5-4 for the season with a 3.68 ERA. Arizona has lost 11 of the last 16 interleague games against a team with a winning record and 4 of the last 5 home games against teams with a winning record.

The Minnesota Twins are on top of AL Central with a 38-29 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off an 11-1 win over the Diamondbacks last night. The Twins are 15th in the league scoring 4.45 runs per game and are ranked 11th allowing 4.13 runs per game. Minnesota will start Chris Archer who is 1-2 for the season with a 3.35 ERA for the season. The Twins have won 7 of the last 8 games played on Sunday and 13 of the last 19 interleague games against teams with a losing record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Minnesota Twins (-118)
