It has been all one sided in this series so far by the Athletics, winning the first game 3-1, and the second game even more convincingly, 7-2. Oakland is on a roll as of late, is there anything Baltimore can do to stop them?
The Oakland Athletics are hotter than hot at the moment, they are currently on a 13 game win streak, a feat that is just incredible in itself. The Athletics have been able to turn a 1-7 start to the season in their first 8 games into a 13-7 current season record. And we like them to move to 14-7 on Sunday afternoon as well. Matt Olson (first baseman) and Jed Lowrie (second baseman) have been real stars for the Athletics with 20 hits each.

It’s a different tale for the Baltimore Orioles who have lost 4 out of their last 5 games. This month so far they just haven’t been able to get any consistency. They really need to work on their scoring as in the last 3 games they have only scored a combined 3 runs, including a shutout from the Marlins earlier in the week. With their current form, we just can’t see the Orioles getting over the line here.

Toronto Blue Jays @ Tampa Bay Rays – 1.10PM ET
This Sunday game will be the final in a 3 game mini series between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Tampa Bay Rays. It is all to play for on Sunday with both the Blue Jays and the Rays winning 1 game each. The Toronto Blue Jays won the first game, 5-3. Then the roles were reversed the next day when the Tampa Bay Rays won the second game 5-3.
It is well known that the Toronto Blue Jays have a great pitching staff and as well as this they are in the top half of the league in terms of home runs. But where they are lacking is their defensive, they keep making mistake after mistake which gets them into trouble more often than not. To put some numbers behind this, they have made 13 errors in their first 19 matches.
The Tampa Bay Rays have won 6 of their last 8 games. The bullpen really need to continue to step up their game if they want to keep this run of wins going. They have been involved in some high scoring games as of late, both themselves and their opposition scoring a lot of runs, this is something they will need to work on if they want to remain competitive throughout the season.

In this series the New York Yankees have shown their complete and utter dominance, winning all 3 games so far. They won the first game 6-3, the second game 5-3 and the third game yesterday 2-1.
The New York Yankees have star players in their squad and they are not afraid to flex their muscles! These 3 wins were much needed as they suffered a 5 game losing streak earlier in the month. The Yankees have all the momentum and we like the look of them to back it up again with a clean sweep of the Cleveland Indians on Sunday.

The Cleveland Indians have lost 4 on the trot and are scrambling to put together a good game. They have had some pretty bad losses over the past week and need to turn it around to get their season back on track. It looks like this game is going to turn into a battle of the pitchers. Arizona Diamondbacks @ Atlanta Braves – 1.20PM ET
This Sunday game will be the second game in a 3 game mini series between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Atlanta Braves, after yesterday’s game was postponed. The Atlanta Braves have drawn first blood, narrowly winning the first game 5-4.
The Diamondbacks have been on the road for a long time and their road trip is starting to wind up now. But it has been a solid time for the Diamondbacks winning 5 of their 8 road games so far, with just 2 more games against the Braves over the next 2 days. This includes a clean sweep of the Reds in their previous series.
The Braves have had a mixed bag so far this month, but have started to get that all important momentum and winning feeling by winning 5 of their last 8 games. Unfortunately for the Braves they have a few injuries to key players meaning that Bryson Wilson will have to start this game, and he has a poor 5.66 career ERA in his 47.2 career innings.

Miami Marlins @ San Francisco Giants – 4.05PM ET
This Sunday game will be the final in a 4 game mini series between the Miami Marlins and the San Francisco Giants. The Giants won the first two games, 3-0 and 5-3, respectively. Then the Marlins were able to bounce back to keep this series alive by winning the game yesterday, 5-2.
The Miami Marlins have a little bit of an inconsistency problem at the moment. One of the contributing factors to this has got to be due to their long list of injuries, and things just get worse for the Marlins, with Brain Anderson (third baseman) unfortunately joining this list. The injury list also includes Jorge Alfaro (catcher) and Starling Marte (center fielder), which is a bit of a concern seeing though we are only just about a month into the current season.

The San Francisco Giants have also had a pretty inconsistent start to the season. But one positive to take away is their sheer dominance when they play at home. They have won 7 of the 9 total games played at home so far this month! With that kind of start to the season when playing at home, we like the look of them to back it up again and have 8 wins from 10 home games.
