Detroit Tigers @ Chicago White Sox – 2.10PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Detroit Tigers and the Chicago White Sox will be the third game of a four game mini series. The first game was played on Thursday, where the White Sox managed to draw first blood, winning 4-1. The second game was played on Friday, and the White Sox claimed another win, 9-8.

The Detroit Tigers are not having the season they would have hoped for, they are currently sitting on a 23-34 season record. They are currently the second last team in the Central Division in the American League, with the White Sox leading the way with 35 wins so far.

The Tigers have won five games out of their last ten, and this does include a series win against the Yankees (3-0) and a series tie with the Brewers (1-1). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are at the bottom of the league, with an average of 3.7.

The Chicago White Sox are having a much better season in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 35-22 season record. They are the first team of their Central Division in the American League, with their closest rivals being the Indians with 30 wins.

The White Sox have won seven games out of their last ten, which includes a series win against the Orioles (4-0) and a series loss to the Indians (2-1). The White Sox are in the top third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.93.

It’s a tale of two different teams this season for the Tigers and the White Sox. The White Sox had a little bit of a scare in their previous game, with the scored level at 8-8 in the last innings, but they showed why they are at the top, by grinding out a win when they needed it. The White Sox are clearly too good for a team like the Tigers, back the White Sox to get another win here.

Cincinnati Reds @ St Louis Cardinals – 2.15PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Cincinnati Reds and the St Louis Cardinals will be the third game of a four game mini series. The first game was played on Thursday, where the Reds managed to draw first blood, winning 4-2. The second game was played on Friday, and the Reds claimed another win, 6-4.

The Cincinnati Reds are not having the season they would have hoped for, they are currently sitting on a 26-29 season record. They are currently the second last team in the Central Division in the National League, with the Cubs leading the way with 32 wins so far.

The Reds have won five games out of their last ten, and this does include a series loss to the Cubs (2-1). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the top third of the league, with an average of 4.9.

The St Louis Cardinals are having a much better season in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 31-27 season record. They are the second team of their Central Division in the National League, with the Cubs leading the way with 32 wins.

The Cardinals have won five games out of their last ten, which includes a series loss to the Dodgers (2-1) and a series win against the Diamondbacks (3-1). The Cardinals are in the middle of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.23.

The Reds have been playing very well against a team who is higher than them in their division, while also playing away from home. We just can’t see where the Cardinals are going to get their runs from against a team that just seems to know how to beat them. We will be backing the Reds to get three wins in a row in this mini series on Saturday afternoon.

Washington Nationals @ Philadelphia Phillies – 4.05PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Washington Nationals and the Philadelphia Phillies will be the second game of a three game mini series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Nationals managed to get the win away from home, winning 2-1.

The Washington Nationals are not having the season they would have hoped for, they are currently sitting on a 23-30 season record. They are currently the last team in the East Division in the National League, with the Mets leading the way with 27 wins so far.

The Nationals have only won four games out of their last ten, but this does include three wins out of their last four, so maybe things are starting to click. When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are near the bottom of the league, with an average of 3.9.

The Philadelphia Phillies are not doing much better in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 26-29 season record. They are the middle team of their East Division in the National League, with the Marlins and the Nationals the two teams behind them.

The Phillies have also only won four games out of their last ten, which includes a series loss to the Rays (2-0) and a series tie against the Reds (1-1). The Phillies are in the middle of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.13.

With both teams on a similar record and recent form, this one is going to be difficult to pick. It looks like the Phillies don’t really like playing on Saturday as they are 0-5 in their last five games. If forced to choose, we would back the Washington Nationals, who got the win on Friday and think they can back it up again.

Miami Marlins @ Pittsburgh Pirates – 4.05PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Miami Marlins and the Pittsburgh Pirates will be the third game of a four game mini series. The first game was played on Thursday, where the Pittsburgh Pirates managed to draw first blood, winning 5-3. The second game was played on Friday, and the Pirates took home another win, 9-2.

The Miami Marlins are not having the season they would have hoped for, they are currently sitting on a 24-32 season record. They are currently the second last team in the East Division in the National League, with the Mets leading the way with 27 wins so far.

The Marlins have only won two games out of their last ten, and this does include a current seven game losing streak. When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are near the bottom of the league, with an average of 3.8.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are not doing much better in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 22-34 season record. They are the last team of their Central Division in the National League, with the Cubs leading the way with 32 wins.

The Pirates have only won four games out of their last ten, which includes series losses to the Cubs (3-0) and the Royals (2-0). The Pirates are dead last in the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 3.42.

When are the Marlins going to catch a break and get a win? We think the Saturday game will finally be the day. When you look at the two opening pitchers, the Marlins’ Poteet is having a much better run of it lately compared to the Pirates’ Keller. Take a chance on the Marlins to get the win here.

Chicago Cubs @ San Francisco Giants – 7.15PM ET

This Saturday evening clash between the Chicago Cubs and the San Francisco Giants will be the third game of a four game mini series. The first game was played on Thursday, where the Giants managed to draw first blood, winning 7-2. The second game was played on Friday, and the Giants claimed another win, 8-5.

The Chicago Cubs are having a fantastic season so far, they are currently sitting on a 32-25 season record. They are currently the first team in the Central Division in the National League, with their closest rivals being the Cardinals with 31 wins.

The Cubs have won seven games out of their last ten, and this does include a series win against the Reds (2-1) and the Padres (3-0). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the middle of the league, with an average of 4.6.

The San Francisco Giants are also having a great season so far, they are currently sitting on a 36-21 season record. They are the first team in their West Division in the National League, with their closest rivals being the Padres with 35 wins (and 23 losses).

The Giants have won eight games out of their last ten, which includes a series win against the Dodgers (3-1) and a series tie with the Angels (1-1). The Giants are in the top third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.8.

This is an interesting clash between two teams who are at the top of their division, so who will come out on top? It looks like the Giants are playing well at home and are a team flying high, with already two wins against the Cubs. You can’t really split these two teams, but with the Giants playing at home, we like the look of them to get another win on the board.

If it's sport, Katherine has got you covered. She doesn't discriminate, and loves all sport equally, from baseball to darts, if there's a competition going on, she is all over it. Her days are filled with watching as much sport, and reading as much as she can.The biggest problem Katherine faces is that she doesn't have enough screens for all the different games she wants to watch (oh and also the lack of sleep...but that doesn't count!). She loves sport so much, she made it her career and now she can do the things she loves day in and day out.
