Look below to find our free MLB Picks for the five best games on today’s schedule!

Cleveland Indians @ Minnesota Twins – 2.10PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Cleveland Indians and the Minnesota Twins will be the third game of a four game mini series. The first game was played on Thursday, where the Indians drew first blood, winning 4-1. The second game was played on Friday, where the Twins managed to strike back, winning 8-7.

The Cleveland Indians are having a pretty decent season, they are currently sitting on a 41-32 season record. They are currently the second team in the Central Division in the American League, with the White Sox the only team ahead of them.

The Indians have won six games out of their last ten, and this includes a series loss to the Pirates (1-2) and a series tie with the Cubs (1-1). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the middle of the league, with an average of 4.3.

The Minnesota Twins are not having the season they would have wanted in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 32-43 season record. They are the last team of their Central Division in the American League, with the Tigers their closest rivals.

The Twins have won six games out of their last ten, which includes a series loss to the Mariners (1-2), a series win against the Rangers (3-0) and a series tie with the Reds (1-1). The Twins are in the middle third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.57.

This game will be particularly interesting in terms of the starting pitchers. Both Maeda and Hentges have been performing well as of late. The Twins will need to be working some magic with the bat if they want to get across the line here, and we think they will be able to do it, they are 36-17 in their previous 53 Saturday games.

Pittsburgh Pirates @ St Louis Cardinals – 2.15PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the St Louis Cardinals will be the third game of a four game mini series. The first game was played on Thursday, where the Pirates drew first blood, winning 8-2. The second game was played on Friday, where the Pirates made it two on the trot in this series, winning 5-4.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are not having the season they would have wanted in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 28-46 season record. They are the last team of their Central Division in the National League, with the Cardinals their closest rivals.

The Pirates have won five games out of their last ten, which includes a series loss to the Nationals (0-3), a series win against the Indians (2-1) and a series tie with the White Sox (1-1). The Orioles are at the very bottom of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 3.6.

The St Louis Cardinals are having a decent season so far but are having inconsistency issues, they are currently sitting on a 36-40 season record. They are the second last team of their Central Division in the National League, with the Pirates the only team behind them.

The Cardinals have only won three games out of their last ten, which includes a series loss to the Braves (1-3) and the Tigers (0-2). They are in the bottom third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 3.91.

The Cardinals keep having some pretty bad losses, and still sportsbooks provide odds with them as the favorite. We will be steering clear of the Cardinals for this one, as there is a lot of value with the Pirates. While the recent stats don’t suggest anything great from the Pirates, they are still the better of the two teams at the moment and we like them to get three wins in a row in this series.

Baltimore Orioles @ Toronto Blue Jays – 3.07PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blue Jays will be the third game of a four game mini series. The first game was played on Thursday, where the Blue Jays drew first blood, winning 9-0. The second game was played on Friday, where the Orioles were able to pull one out of the fire (in the tenth innings), winning 6-5.

The Baltimore Orioles are not having the season they would have wanted in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 24-52 season record, only the Diamondbacks have less wins than them in the entire league. They are the last team of their East Division in the American League, with the Blue Jays their closest rivals.

The Orioles have only won two games out of their last ten, which includes series losses to the Blue Jays (earlier in the month) (1-2) and the Astros (0-3). The Orioles are in the bottom third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 3.9.

The Toronto Blue Jays are having a decent season so far but are having inconsistency issues, they are currently sitting on a 38-36 season record. They are the second last team of their East Division in the American League, with the Orioles the only team behind them.

The Blue Jays have won five games out of their last ten, which includes a series loss to the Yankees (0-3), as well as series wins against the Orioles (earlier in the month) (2-1) and the Marlins (2-0). They are in the top third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 5.

The Orioles surprised a lot of people when they got the victory on Friday night, but we don’t expect that winning feeling to last for long. The Orioles are 27-61 in their previous 88 Saturday games, and they struggle to back up when they have a win, they are 51-105 in their previous 165 games following a win. We just don’t think the Orioles can keep it going, back the Blue Jays.

Washington Nationals @ Miami Marlins – 4.10PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Washington Nationals and the Miami Marlins will be the third game of a four game mini series. The first game was played on Thursday, where the Nationals drew first blood, winning 7-3. The second game was played on Friday, where the Marlins put on a dominant display, winning 11-2.

The Washington Nationals are having a decent season, they are currently sitting on a 36-37 season record. They are currently the second team in the East Division in the National League, with the Mets the only team ahead of them.

The Nationals have won eight games out of their last ten, and this includes series wins against the Mets (3-1) and the Phillies (2-0). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the bottom third of the league, with an average of 3.9.

The Miami Marlins are not having the season they would have wanted in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 32-43 season record. They are the last team of their East Division in the National League, with the Braves their closest rivals.

The Marlins have only won three games out of their last ten, which includes series losses to the Cardinals (0-3) and the Blue Jays (0-2) as well as a series win against the Cubs (2-1). The Marlins are in the bottom third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 3.86.

The series is currently level after a surprisingly dominant performance by the Marlins. Despite this poor performance from the Nationals, we are going to back them to bounce back on Saturday. Both teams don’t have a particularly good record when it comes to playing in the third game of the series or playing on a Saturday, so we will have to wait and see how this one shapes out.

Colorado Rockies @ Milwaukee Brewers – 4.10PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Colorado Rockies and the Milwaukee Brewers will be the second game of a three game mini series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Brewers managed to get the win at home but needed 11 innings to do it, winning 5-4.

The Colorado Rockies are not having the season they would have wanted in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 31-45 season record. They are the second last team of their West Division in the National League, with the Diamondbacks the only team behind them.

The Rockies have won six games out of their last ten, which includes a series win against the Padres (3-0), as well as series ties with the Brewers (earlier in the month) (2-2) and the Mariners (1-1). The Rockies are in the top half of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.4.

The Milwaukee Brewers are having a pretty decent season, they are currently sitting on a 43-33 season record. They are currently the first team in the Central Division in the National League, with the Cubs and Reds the two teams directly behind them.

The Brewers have won five games out of their last ten, and this includes a series tie with the Rockies (earlier in the month) (2-2) and a series win against the Diamondbacks (2-1). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the bottom third of the league, with an average of 3.99.

When looking at the Rockies record in away games, it certainly leaves something to be desired, they are 14-43 in their previous 57 away games. The Rockies are having a pretty solid run as of late, they have won six out of their last ten, but the Brewers seem to be too good of a team. The Brewers are 36-16 in their previous 52 games played on Saturday. Back the Brewers to get the win on Saturday.

If it's sport, Katherine has got you covered. She doesn't discriminate, and loves all sport equally, from baseball to darts, if there's a competition going on, she is all over it. Her days are filled with watching as much sport, and reading as much as she can.The biggest problem Katherine faces is that she doesn't have enough screens for all the different games she wants to watch (oh and also the lack of sleep...but that doesn't count!). She loves sport so much, she made it her career and now she can do the things she loves day in and day out.
