Free MLB Picks Today for Saturday, June 19th, 2021
Sat 19th June 2021

Who doesn’t love a Saturday? Well, Saturday is made even better with an action packed day (and night) of baseball. We are in the middle of all the series, and there are a lot of upsets potentially on the cards. But this does make for a very interesting day of watching!

Look below to find our free MLB Picks for the five best games on today’s schedule!

Oakland Athletics @ New York Yankees – 1.05PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Oakland Athletics and the New York Yankees will be the second game of a three game mini series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Athletics managed to get the win away from home, winning 5-3.

The Oakland Athletics are having a fantastic season in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 44-27 season record. They are the top team of their West Division in the American League, with the Astros their closest rivals.

The Athletics have won nine games out of their last ten, which includes series wins against the Diamondbacks (2-0), the Royals (3-1) and the Angels (3-0). The Athletics are in the top half of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.5.

The New York Yankees are having a decent enough season, they are currently sitting on a 36-33 season record. They are currently the middle team in the East Division in the American League, with the Rays and Red Sox the two teams ahead of them.

The Yankees have won five games out of their last ten, and this includes series wins against the Twins (2-1) and the Blue Jays (3-0), as well as a series loss to the Phillies (2-0). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the bottom third of the league, with an average of 3.96.

It’s going to have to be the Athletics for us, they are just on fire at the moment. Bassitt is having a great run currently for the Athletics, which will help set them apart from the Yankees. The Athletics are also 6-0 in their previous six game two matches, and are 7-3 in their previous 10 games played on a Saturday.

Toronto Blue Jays @ Baltimore Orioles – 4.05PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles will be the second game of a three game mini series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Orioles finally  managed to get a win, 7-1.

The Toronto Blue Jays are having a decent enough season but still don’t have a winning record, they are currently sitting on a 33-34 season record. They are the second last team of their East Division in the American League, with the Rays the leaders in the division.

The Blue Jays have only won three games out of their last ten, which includes a series tie with the Red Sox (2-2) and a series loss to the Yankees (3-0). The Blue Jays are in the top third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 5.

The Baltimore Orioles are not having the season they would have hoped for in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 22-46 season record. They are currently the last team in the East Division in the American League, with the Blue Jays the team just ahead of them.

The Orioles have only won two games out of their last ten, and this includes series losses to the Rays (3-0) and the Indians (4-0). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the bottom third of the league, with an average of 4.01.

The Orioles were finally able to break their massive losing streak last time out against the Blue Jays, but it is going to take a mammoth effort to get themselves out of the hole they have dug for themselves this season. Looking at the stats, we think the Blue Jays can bounce back, they are 6-1 in their previous seven in the second game of a series, and they are 5-1 in their previous six games played on a Saturday.

Boston Red Sox @ Kansas City Royals – 4.10PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Boston Red Sox and the Kansas City Royals will be the second game of a three game mini series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Royals managed to get the win at home, winning 5-3.

The Boston Red Sox are having a fantastic season in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 42-27 season record. They are the  second team of their East Division in the American League, with the Rays the only team ahead of them.

The Red Sox have won five games out of their last ten, which includes a series loss to the Astros (2-1), a series tie with the Blue Jays (2-2) and a series win against the Braves (2-0). The Red Sox are in the top third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 5.1.

The Kansas City Royals are not having a decent season, they are currently sitting on a 30-37 season record. They are currently the middle team in the Central Division in the American League, with the White Sox and Indians the two teams ahead of them.

The Royals have only won two games out of their last ten, and this includes series losses to the Athletics (3-1) and to the Tigers (3-0). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the middle third of the league, with an average of 4.22.

It was quite interesting to see the Red Sox suffer a loss to a team like the Royals, but we suspect the Royals won’t be able to keep a team like the Red Sox down for long, and a quick bounce back is certainly on the cards. The Royals were able to break a long losing streak, which did include some pretty big losses. We think the Red Sox will be out for revenge on Saturday afternoon

Chicago White Sox @ Houston Astros – 7.15PM ET

This Saturday evening clash between the Chicago White Sox and the Houston Astros will be the third game of a four game mini series. The first game was played on Thursday, where the Artros dominated to get the win, 10-2. The second game, played on Friday, was a lot closer, but the Astros came out on top again, winning 2-1.

The Chicago White Sox are having a fantastic season in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 43-27 season record. They are the top team of their Central Division in the American League, with the Indians their closest rivals.

The White Sox have won six games out of their last ten, which includes series wins against the Tigers (3-0) and the Ray (2-1). The White Sox are in the top third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 5.

The Houston Astros are also having a decent season, they are currently sitting on a 41-28 season record. They are currently the second team in the West Division in the American League, with the Athletics the only team ahead of them.

The Astros have won eight games out of their last ten, and this includes series wins against the Red Sox (2-1), the Twins (2-1) and the Rangers (2-0). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are the number one team in the league, with an average of 5.62.

The White Sox are a great team, but they seem to just not know how to win against the Astros, losing both games in this mini series. On the other hand, the Astros are loving playing at home and have a very easy run to end the month, with games against the Orioles and the Tigers. We like the look of the Astros winning the third game on Saturday night.

Tampa Bay Rays @ Seattle Mariners – 10.10PM ET

This Saturday night clash between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Seattle Mariners will be the third game of a four game mini series. The first game was played on Thursday, where the Mariners managed to get the win at home, 6-5. The second game was played on Friday, and the Mariners managed to get another win against the Rays, 5-1.

The Tampa Bay Rays are having a fantastic season in terms of results so far, they are currently sitting on a 43-28 season record. They are the top team of their East Division in the American League, with the Red Sox their closest rivals.

The Rays have only won four games out of their last ten, which includes a series win against the Orioles (3-0) and a series loss to the White Sox (2-1), they are also currently on a four game losing streak. The Rays are in the top third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.9.

The Seattle Mariners are having a decent enough season, they are currently sitting on a 36-36 season record. They are currently the middle team in the West Division in the American League, with the Athletics and Astros the two teams ahead of them.

The Mariners have won six games out of their last ten, and this includes a series loss to the Indians (2-1) and a series win against the Twins (2-1). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the bottom third of the league, with an average of 3.99.

The Rays are having a great season, but their recent results leave much to be desired, and the Mariners, who are on an even season record have been able to pounce. The Mariners have just been able to outclass the Rays in a number of different areas, but you always have to be wary of a good team, as you can’t keep them down for long. The Red Sox are hot on the heels of the Rays in their division, so expect the Rays to be fired up on Saturday night to get the win, so they don’t concede their top position.

If it's sport, Katherine has got you covered. She doesn't discriminate, and loves all sport equally, from baseball to darts, if there's a competition going on, she is all over it. Her days are filled with watching as much sport, and reading as much as she can.The biggest problem Katherine faces is that she doesn't have enough screens for all the different games she wants to watch (oh and also the lack of sleep...but that doesn't count!). She loves sport so much, she made it her career and now she can do the things she loves day in and day out.
