Texas Rangers @ Chicago White Sox – 2:10PM ET

The Texas Rangers and Chicago White Sox are playing game number two of their three game weekend series in this one. In game one of the series it was the Chicago White Sox who got the win and now they will be looking to clinch the series in this one.

Tony Battalio

The Texas Rangers will be looking to bounce back in this one after losing game one of this series to the Chicago White Sox. The loss drops the Rangers record to 26-31 through their first 57 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. Martin Perez takes the mound for the Rangers, he comes into this start with a record of 4-2 through his first eleven appearances of the season. He currently has a 1.56 Earned Run Average at the moment.

The Chicago White Sox come into this game looking to clinch the series victory on Saturday. They picked up a huge win on Friday and now enter this game with a record of 27-29 through their first 56 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have been far worse than the expectations that were set for them at the beginning of the year. As for the result of this game, I am going with the Chicago White Sox to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Chicago White Sox (-156)

Jeffery Thomas

The Texas Rangers lost again on Friday moving their record in June to 2-7 and 26-31 on the full season. Yasmani Grandal was the hero for the White Sox in this one, hitting the tie-breaking two-run double with two outs left in the 8th inning to break the game open in the 8-3 victory.

The good news for the Rangers though is that their ace Martin Perez is going to take the mound on Saturday to build on his 4-2 record and 1.56 ERA. He hasn’t lost a start since April 17 and I don’t see that trend ending in this spot. Give me the Rangers here.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Texas Rangers (+132)

Tampa Bay Rays @ Minnesota Twins – 2:10PM ET

The Tampa Bay Rays and Minnesota Twins will be playing game two of their three game series on Friday evening. In game one of the series it was the Minnesota Twins who got the win and now they will be looking to clinch the series in this one.

Tony Battalio

The Tampa Bay Rays will be looking to bounce back in this one after losing game one of this series against the Minnesota Twins. They have been one of the better teams in baseball so far this season and they would really like to show it in such a high profile series featuring two top teams in the American League. The Rays come into this game with a record of 34-24 through their first 58 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Minnesota Twins are coming into this game with a record of 34-26 through their first 60 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in first place of the American League Central division at the moment as they hold a three game lead over the Cleveland Guardians at the moment. As for the result of this game I am going with the Minnesota Twins,

Tony’s MLB Pick: Minnesota Twins (+114)

Jeffery Thomas

Byron Buxton homered twice for the second straight game as the Minnesota Twins took down the Tampa Bay Rays 9-4 on Friday night. Buxton is now tied for second in the majors with 17 home runs on the year in just 43 games. Rays’ pitcher Drew Rasmussen turned in his worst start of the season allowing seven runs and nine hits in 4.1 innings as Tampa moved to 34-24 on the year.

That loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Rays. This is a matchup of two pitchers who haven’t pitched much this season but Shane Baz has a better track record and that’s the reason I’m rolling with the Rays to avenge their loss Friday in this one.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Tampa Bay Rays (-134)

Baltimore Orioles @ Kansas City Royals – 4:10PM ET

The Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals are playing game number three of their four game weekend series in this one. In game one and two of the series it was the Kansas City Royals who got the win and now they will be looking to clinch the series in this one.

Tony Battalio

The Baltimore Orioles have lost the first two games of this series against the Kansas City Royals. They come into this game with a record of 24-35 through their first 59 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are having a terrible season but for the Baltimore Orioles that has become the norm for them as they’ve been stuck in a rebuild for the better part of the decade. While the future looks bright with Adley Rutschman, the present is still the same old Orioles.

The Kansas City Royals may be having an even worse season than their opponents in this game. They come into this game with a record of 20-37 through their first 57 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in last place of the American League Central division as they trail the Minnesota Twins by 12 and a half games. They are currently on a three game winning streak. As for the result of this game I am going with the Kansas City Royals to get another win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Kansas City Royals (-102)

Jeffery Thomas

The Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles will play Game 3 of their four-game series on Saturday. The Royals have scored 15 combined runs in the first two games and won both games, pushing their winning streak out to 3 games. Their offense is hitting its groove and has been the catalyst for this streak, as they’ve scored at least 7 runs in each game.

Keeping that consistency will be paramount for them to climb out of the last-place spot in the AL Central, but it may be tough against the Orioles’ Tyler Wells. Wells has only given up over 3 runs once this season and I like him to halt this Orioles losing streak on Saturday.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Baltimore Orioles (-116)

Colorado Rockies @ San Diego Padres – 4:10PM ET

The Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres are playing game number two of their four game weekend series in this one. In game one of the series it was the San Diego Padres who got the win and now they will be looking to clinch the series in this one.

Tony Battalio

The Colorado Rockies had a fast start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. However, they quickly fell back to earth as their pitching has been part of their downfall. They come into this game with a record of 25-33 through their first 58 games of the season. They are in last place of the National League West division as they trail the Los Angeles Dodgers by twelve games. They have won only three out of their last ten games on the year.

The San Diego Padres are coming into this game with a record of 36-22 through their first 58 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently on a three game winning streak as they trail the Dodgers by only a single game. They have won six out of their last ten games. As for the result of this game I am going with the San Diego Padres to pick up the victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: San Diego Padres (-200)

Jeffery Thomas

The San Diego Padres and Colorado Rockies started up a weekend NL West series on Friday with the Padres getting the home win in blowout fashion. It is the 6th win in seven games for the Padres who are now closing in even closer on the Dodgers for the first place spot in the division.

The Rockies are the team holding that last place spot and being losers of six of their last eight doesn’t give me any confidence in them at the moment. I like the Padres to once again get a comfortable victory over their hapless division rivals.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: San Diego Padres -1.5 (+104)

Oakland Athletics @ Cleveland Guardians – 4:10PM ET

The Oakland Athletics and Cleveland Guardians are playing game number two of their three game weekend series in this one. In game number one of this series the Cleveland Guardians picked up the victory and now they will be looking to clinch the series victory.

Tony Battalio

The Oakland Athletics had the win in the bag last night before they turned around and ended up losing. They held a two to zero lead over the Cleveland Guardians, before giving up three runs in the bottom of the ninth. It just continues their trend of a rough season as they now come into this game with a record of 20-40 through their first 60 games of the season. They have now lost their last ten games in a row and are currently 17 games behind the Houston Astros in the American League West division.

The Cleveland Guardians are red hot right now as they have now won their last three games on the year and eight out of their last ten games on the season. They come into this game three games over the .500 mark with a record of 28-26 through their first 54 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in second place of the American League Central division as they trail the Minnesota Twins by three games. As for the result of this game I am going with the Twins to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Cleveland Guardians (-126)

Jeffery Thomas

The Cleveland Guardians picked up a 3-2 comeback victory on Friday night over the Oakland Athletics to take the first two games of the series. They’ve now won 3 straight games and will move on to the weekend portion of this four-game set.

This game on Saturday will be the Athletics’ best chance to get a game in this series with Frankie Montas on the mound so I’m pretty comfortable backing them here. They’ll have the pitching advantage against Zach Plesac who has allowed at least 4 runs in four of his last seven outings. Give me the plus money value with Oakland here on the road.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Oakland Athletics (+108)
