They were expected to be the front runner in the American League Central division but have been a bit underwhelming this season. They have won six out of their last ten games of the year and currently find themselves on a four game winning streak. 

The Minnesota Twins are in first place in the American League Central division at the moment but they are stuck in a bit of a slump. They are coming into the third game of this series with a record of 49-43 through their first 92 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have lost six out of their last ten games of the year and are currently on a two game losing streak at the moment.

The Chicago White Sox powered their way to a 6-2 win over the first-place Minnesota Twins on Friday night. It was win number four in a row for the Sox as Michael Kopech recorded his first win in eight starts. Chicago is hoping this stretch gets them to channel that success of last year when they won the AL Central by 13 games over the second place Cleveland Guardians. 

With Lance Lynn and Dylan Bundy taking the mound on Saturday for their respective teams, we should see a lot of runs. Lynn has given up 13 runs in his last two outings and Bundy is coming off a 4 run outing and has an ERA of 4.68 on the year. Give me the over as I look to fade their struggling pitchers.

The Minnesota Twins are on top of the AL Central with a 49-43 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games including last night 6-2 to the White Sox. The Twins are 10th in the league scoring 4.16 runs per game and are ranked 11th in the league allowing 4.61 runs per game. Minnesota will start Dylan Bundy who is 5-4 for the season with a 4.68 ERA. The Cincinnati Reds lost a tough one in game one of this series and now they will be looking to bounce back in game two on Saturday. They have lost four out of their ten games on the year and come into this one on a one game losing streak. They currently trail the Brewers by 15 and a half games at the moment. 

The St.Louis Cardinals are currently in second place in the National League Central division at the moment. They come into this game with a record of 49-44 through their first 93 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won five out of their last ten games of the year and come into this game on a one game winning streak. I have them winning game two of this series as well.

The Cincinnati Reds are out of any playoff contention but you have to admire the fight they’ve continued to show. Coming into this series against the St.Louis Cardinals they had won a series against the Tampa Bay Rays and New York Yankees consecutively, the top two teams in the AL East. 

None of that mattered when they came to St. Louis though, as the Cards beat them 7-3 to move their record to 5-2 against the Reds on the year. The lopsided head-to-head is likely to continue to go in St.Louis’ way on Saturday as they are just the much better team and will have the pitching advantage. Expect more of the same in this contest.

Kansas City Royals @ Toronto Blue Jays – 3:07PM ET

The Kansas City Royals and Toronto Blue Jays will be playing the third game of their four game weekend series in this one. In game number one it was the Royals who got the win. In game number two the Blue Jays bounce back with a huge win.

The Kansas City Royals were unable to capitalize on the momentum they had from their victory in game one of this series. As they went on to lose game two by a wide margin of seven runs to the Toronto Blue Jays. The final score would end up being 1-8 in favor of Toronto now they will head into game three tied at one game a piece with two left to play before the Major League Baseball all-star break. The Royals come into this game with a record of 36-54 through their first 90 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. 

The Toronto Blue Jays got a big win on Friday night to pull this series even at one apiece and now they will be looking to clinch at least a share of the series here in game number three. The Blue Jays were expected to be one of the best teams in Major League Baseball this season and one of the top options to compete for a title, however, it is fair to say that they have been a bit underwhelming. The Blue Jays come into this game with a record of 48-43 through their first 91 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Toronto Blue Jays needed a much needed confidence boost heading towards the All-Star Break and got it on Friday night against the Kansas City Royals. The Jays got three-run home runs from Teoscar Hernandez and Matt Chapman in their 8-1 win as Alek Manoah snapped a three-start winless streak. The Royals did not stand much of a chance in this one on the road in Canada, as they had to be without 10 unvaccinated players due to the COVID mandates. 

That’s going to be a big storyline throughout this series, as Kansas City wouldn’t even stand much of a chance if they had their full roster available. Now with them being forced to use Triple-A and Double-A prospects against one of the best teams in the AL, I think it will be a clean sweep for the Blue Jays at home. That would require them to win the game on Saturday of course, which I don’t see them having any issues doing.

The Royals are 26th in the league scoring 4.03 runs per game and are ranked 25th in the league allowing 5.18 runs per game. They will start Kris Bubic who is 1-6 for the season with a 6.63 ERA. The Royals have lost 21 of the last 30 road games and 8 of the last 10 games against teams with a winning record.

Baltimore Orioles @ Tampa Bay Rays  – 4:10PM ET

The Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays will be playing the second game of their three game weekend series in this one. In game number one it was the Rays who picked up the win. Now they will be looking to clinch the series victory in game number two.

The Baltimore Orioles’ winning streak is now officially over after they lost game one of this three game series to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Orioles are still in a good spot despite the loss as they come into game two of this series with a record of 45-45 through their first 90 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are still right in the hunt for an American League Wild Card spot as we approach the all-star break which would be considered way ahead of schedule for their rebuild. 

The Tampa Bay Rays will be looking to capitalize on their win in game one of this series and extend their own winning streak which now sits at five games. They come into this game two of this series with a record of 50-40 through their first 90 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won seven out of their last ten games on the year and currently occupy the top wild card spot in the American League with only two days left before the 2022 all-star break. As for the result of this game I have the Orioles bouncing back to get a win.

All good things must come to an end, and the Baltimore Orioles learned that firsthand on Friday when their 10-game winning streak ended at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays. It was the longest streak for Baltimore since they won 13 straight back in 1999. Tampa Bay now has their streak going as the 5-4 win was their fifth straight and bolstered their lead of that first wild card spot. Just because the Orioles finally lost doesn’t mean we abandon them though, as they have proven to be a legit team in this league. 

I like their chances to bounce back on Saturday with Dean Kremer on the mound and his 3-1 record on the year. He has exceeded all expectations this year and already has a 5 inning shutout performance against the Rays back on June 17. Give me the Orioles on the road here.

The Rays are 23rd in the league scoring 4.22 runs per game and are 6th allowing 3.91 runs per game. Tampa Bay will start Corey Kluber who is 5-5 for the season with a 3.58 ERA. The Rays have won 6 of the last 7 games against teams with a winning record and 16 of the last 24 second games of a series.

The Baltimore Orioles are at the bottom of the AL East with a 45-45 record. Last night’s loss to the Rays put an end to their 10-game winning streak. The Orioles are 22nd in the league scoring 4.24 runs per game and 16th in the league allowing 4.31 runs per game. Baltimore will start Jordan Lyles who is 6-7 for the season with a 4.37 ERA. Orioles have won 6 of the last 9 road games and have lost 21 of the last 29 games played on Saturday.

Detroit Tigers @ Cleveland Guardians – 4:10PM ET

The Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Guardians will be playing the third game of their four game weekend series in this one. In game number one it was the Guardians who got the win. In game number two the Guardians added another win to clinch at least a share of the series.

For the second night in a row, the Detroit Tigers will still be trying to figure out how to win a game in this four game series against the Cleveland Guardians. As they now come into game number three after losing both of the first two games. The Tigers held the lead until the bottom of the seventh inning when the Guardians regained the lead and kept it for good as they would go on to lose by a score of 5-6. The loss drops the Tigers record on the season to 37-54 through their first 91 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. 

The Cleveland Guardians just keep finding a way to win this season. They were not expected to still be in the playoff race by the time the middle of July came around as everyone expected this to be a rebuilding year for the young franchise. They are now one win away from clinching the series victory against the Detroit Tigers and they will have two opportunities to do so over the next two days. They come into game three of this series with a record of 45-44 through their first 89 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Cleveland Guardians came through with a tight 6-5 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Friday to keep the misery going for their division rivals. The Tigers have now lost seven of their last eight and are just a 0.5 game from being in last place of the AL Central. 

The Guardians are now just 2.5 games back of the Minnesota Twins for first place in the division and have to see this series as a great opportunity to stack up wins and gain some ground in that race. The Tigers have been one of the worst teams over the last couple of weeks and will be playing a motivated and hungry Cleveland team on Saturday, so a path to victory for them looks far-fetched yet again.
