Washington Nationals @ San Francisco Giants – 4.05PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Washington Nationals and the San Francisco Giants will be the second game of a three game series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Giants drew first blood, winning 5-3.

The Washington Nationals are having an okay season but they need to show more consistency if they want to become more serious postseason contenders, they are currently sitting on a 42-45 season record. They are currently the second last team in the East Division in the National League, with the Marlins the only team behind them.

The Nationals have only won three games out of their last ten, and this includes a series loss to the Dodgers (0-4) as well as a series tie with the Padres (2-2). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the middle third of the league, with an average of 4.2.

The San Francisco Giants are having a fantastic season, they are currently sitting on a 55-32 season record. They are the top team of their West Division in the National League, with the Dodgers their closest rivals.

The Giants have won five games out of their last ten, which includes series losses to the Dodgers (0-2) and the Cardinals (1-2) as well as a series win against the Diamondbacks (3-1). The Giants are in the top third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.92.

The Giants are the better team out of the two, and they showed just how good they were again on Friday, getting the victory against the Nationals. The Giants love playing at home, with their season record 28-13 so far. We just can’t see how the Nationals could upset the Giants here. Back the Giants.

Oakland Athletics @ Texas Rangers – 4.05PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Oakland Athletics and the Texas Rangers will be the second game of a three game series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Rangers drew first blood in a narrow win, 3-2.

The Oakland Athletics are having a fantastic season so far, they are currently sitting on a 50-40 season record. They are currently the second team in the West Division in the American League, with the Astros the only team ahead of them.

The Athletics have won three games out of their last ten, and this includes series losses to the Rangers (1-2), the Red Sox (1-2) and the Astros (1-2). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the top half of the league, with an average of 4.4.

The Texas Rangers are not having the season they would have wanted, they are currently sitting on a 35-53 season record. They are the bottom team of their West Division in the American League, with the Astros leading the way.

The Rangers have won five games out of their last ten, which includes a series win against the Athletics (2-1), as well as series losses to the Mariners (1-2) and the Tigers (1-2). The Rangers are in the bottom third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.15.

The Athletics suffered a tough and surprising loss to the Rangers on Friday night, but if you look at the recent form of the Athletics, maybe this loss isn’t so surprising. They have been really struggling as of late, only winning three of their last ten games. Although the Athletics do have a solid record when it comes to the second game of a series, they are 9-3 in their previous 12 in game two of a series. Kaprielian also looks like the better of the two starting pitchers for the Athletics.

Chicago White Sox @ Baltimore Orioles – 4.05PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Chicago White Sox and the Baltimore Orioles will be the second game of a three game series. The first game was played on Friday, where the While Sox drew first blood in a dominant performance, winning 12-1.

The Chicago White Sox are having a fantastic season so far, they are currently sitting on a 52-35 season record. They are currently the top team in the Central Division in the American League, with the Indians their closest rivals.

The White Sox have won seven games out of their last ten, and this includes series wins against the Twins (twice) with the series record at 3-0 for the first series, and 2-1 for the second, as well as a series loss to the Tigers (1-2). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the top third of the league, with an average of 5.

The Baltimore Orioles are not having the season they would have wanted, they are currently sitting on a 28-59 season record. They are the bottom team of their East Division in the American League, with the Red Sox leading the way.

The Orioles have only won four games out of their last ten, which includes a series win against the Astros (3-0), as well as a series loss to the Angels (0-3) and a series tie with the Blue Jays (1-1). The Orioles are in the bottom third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.13.

This should be another pretty easy clash for the White Sox, the team dominated on Friday night. As well as this, the White Sox are 5-0 in their previous 5 meetings with the Orioles. While the pitching lineup does leave something to be desired, the White Sox offence should be able to walk all over the Orioles again in this clash.

Philadelphia Phillies @ Boston Red Sox – 4.10PM ET

This Saturday afternoon clash between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Boston Red Sox will be the second game of a three game series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Red Sox drew first blood, winning 11-5.

The Philadelphia Phillies are having an okay season but they need to show more consistency if they want to become more serious postseason contenders, they are currently sitting on a 42-44 season record. They are currently the second team in the East Division in the National League, with the Mets the only team ahead of them.

The Phillies have won six games out of their last ten, and this includes a series tie with the Marlins (1-1) as well as series wins against the Padres (2-1) and the Cubs (3-1). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the top half of the league, with an average of 4.5.

The Boston Red Sox are having a fantastic season, they are currently sitting on a 55-34 season record. They are the top team of their East Division in the American League, with the Rays their closest rivals.

The Red Sox have won seven games out of their last ten, which includes a series win against the Athletics (2-1) as well as a series loss to the Angels (1-2). The Red Sox are in the top third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 5.08.

The Red Sox are on fire as of late when it comes to playing at home, they are 8-0 in their previous eight home games. They are also fans of playing on Saturday with their record sitting at 7-2 in their previous nine Saturday games. The Phillies are starting to get their act together, which should mean a more interesting clash, but we still think the Red Sox will be too good.

St Louis Cardinals @ Chicago Cubs – 7.15PM ET

This Saturday evening clash between the St Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs will be the second game of a three game series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Cubs drew first blood, winning 10-5.

The St Louis Cardinals are having an okay season but they need to show more consistency if they want to become more serious postseason contenders, they are currently sitting on a 43-46 season record. They are currently the second last team in the Central Division in the National League, with the Pirates the only team behind them.

The Cardinals have won five games out of their last ten, and this includes a series loss to the Rockies (1-3) and a series win against the Giants (2-1). When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the bottom third of the league, with an average of 3.9.

The Chicago Cubs are also having an okay season but they need to show more consistency if they want to become more serious postseason contenders, they are currently sitting on a 44-45 season record. They are the middle team of their Central Division in the National League, with the Brewers and the Reds the two teams ahead of them.

The Cubs have only won two games out of their last ten, which includes a series loss to the Reds (0-3) and the Phillies (1-3). The Cubs are in the middle third of the league when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.18.

The Cubs put on a pretty nice display on Friday, and the pressure is on both teams to continue to win, if they want to be serious postseason contenders. The Cubs especially have been struggling as of late, only winning two of their last ten games, but their 27-16 season record at home is looking alright! On the other hand, the Cardinals’ away record is alright, but does leave something to be desired, at 20-27. We like the look of the Cubs to get another win here on Saturday night.

If it's sport, Katherine has got you covered. She doesn't discriminate, and loves all sport equally, from baseball to darts, if there's a competition going on, she is all over it. Her days are filled with watching as much sport, and reading as much as she can.The biggest problem Katherine faces is that she doesn't have enough screens for all the different games she wants to watch (oh and also the lack of sleep...but that doesn't count!). She loves sport so much, she made it her career and now she can do the things she loves day in and day out.
