Arizona Diamondbacks @ Cincinnati Reds – 6:40PM ET

The Arizona Diamondbacks and the Cincinnati Reds will be playing game number one of their four game weekday series in this one. The Diamondbacks are coming off of a series with the Pittsburgh Pirates. While the Cincinnati Reds are coming off of a series with the Washington Nationals.

Tony Battalio

The Arizona Diamondbacks are having a pretty average start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They come into this game with a record of 26-29 through their first 55 games of the season, as they have been hovering around the 500 mark for the majority of the season thus far. This series against the Reds will be the second leg of a three series and ten game Midwest road trip for the Diamondbacks. They are currently on a two game losing streak after losing back to back games to Pittsburgh to end the three game weekend series.

The Cincinnati Reds aren’t having the best start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. However, they are picking up wins here and there throughout the year. They will come into this game with a record of 18-35 through their first 53 games of the season. They have lost three games in a row and are 5-5 in their last ten games. As for the result of this one I am going with the Arizona Diamondbacks to get the win.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks (-102)

Jeffery Thomas

It’s been a slow start to the month of June for the Arizona Diamondbacks who are just 1-3 through four games. They’ll continue their road stand with a trip to Ohio on Monday to start up a series with the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds are coming off a tough series against the Washington Nationals and aren’t having too good a start to the month as well.

They’ve lost 4 of 5 games to start June and are hoping to string some wins together as the season turns to summer. Hunter Greene will be taking the mound and he has a strong future ahead of him but right now he’s not a guy who is too reliable. I think Arizona is the better team right now and will be the one to snap out of their slump in this series opener.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks (-102)

Marko Nadin

The Cincinnati Reds are at the bottom of the NL Central with a 18-35 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games and are coming off three consecutive losses to the Washington Nationals. Cincinnati is 13th in the league scoring 4.46 runs per game and is ranked 28th in the league allowing 5.62 runs per game. The Reds will start Hunter Greene tonight who is 2-7 for the season with a 6.19 ERA. Cincinnati has won 7 of the last 9 opening games of a series and has lost 19 of the last 28 games  after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are fourth in the NL West with a 26-29 record. They have lost 4 of the last 6 games and are coming off a 2-1 series loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Diamondbacks are 11th in the league hitting 1.19 home runs per game and are 24th with 3.93 scored runs per game. Arizona will start Madison Bumgarner tonight who is 2-4 for the season with a 3.31 ERA. Arizona has won 4 of the last 5 opening games of a series and has lost 66 of the last 89 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Cincinnati Reds (-116)

Texas Rangers @ Cleveland Guardians – 7:10PM ET

The Cleveland Guardians and the Texas Rangers will be playing game number one of their three game weekday series in this one. The Guardians are coming off of a series with the Baltimore Orioles. While the Texas Rangers are coming off of a series with the Seattle Mariners.

Tony Battalio

The Cleveland Guardians got a huge win on Sunday to close out the series against the Baltimore Orioles by taking two of three. They have been on fire recently as they have now won five out of their last six games on the season and they’re slowly climbing their way up the standings in the American League Central division. The victory on Sunday improves their record to 24 and 25 through their first 49 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Texas Rangers had a rough start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have improved throughout the season as they come into this game with a record of 25-28 through their first 53 games of the season. They have only won five out of their last ten games on the year and they are on a one game losing streak. As for the result of this game I am going with the Cleveland Guardians to pick up the victory in this one.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Cleveland Guardians (-112)

Jeffery Thomas

The Texas Rangers are traveling to Cleveland in hopes of turning around this slump. Their weekend series with the Seattle Mariners did not go well as they lost two of three in a series that had every game decided by one run. Their record is now 25-28 on the year as they take on the Guardians who are 24-25 coming into Monday’s contest.

Cleveland has won five of their last six games however and are sitting at second in the AL Central, just 4.5 games back of the first place Minnesota Twins. I’m rolling with the Guardians to keep their winning ways going at home on Monday against Jon Gray who has only recorded one win in 8 starts this season.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Cleveland Guardians (-112)

Marko Nadin

The Cleveland Guardians are second in the AL Central with a 24-25 record. They have won 5 of the last 6 games and are coming off a 2-1 series win over the Baltimore Orioles. Cleveland is 9th in the league scoring 4.70 runs per game and is ranked 12th in the league allowing 4.16 runs per game. The Guardians will start Cal Quantril tonight who is 2-3 for the season with a 3.52 ERA. Cleveland has won 5 of the last 6 games against teams with a losing record and 4 of the last 5 games when their opponent allows 5 runs or more in their previous game.

The Texas Rangers are third in the AL West with a 25-28 record. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 series loss to the Seattle Mariners. The Rangers are 18th in the league scoring 4.31 runs per game and are ranked 11th in the league allowing 4.14 runs per game. The Rangers will start Jon Gray who is 1-2 for the season with a 4.83 ERA. Texas has won the last 4 games allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game and 5 of the last 7 games against teams with a losing record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Cleveland Guardians (-112)

Seattle Mariners @ Houston Astros – 8:10PM ET

The Houston Astros and the Seattle Mariners will be playing game number one of their three game weekday series in this one. The Astros are coming off of a series with the Kansas City Royals. While the Seattle Mariners are coming off of a series with the Texas Rangers.

Tony Battalio

The Seattle Mariners come into this game with a record of 24-30 through their first 54 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are young and that has shown at times throughout the season as they are six games below the .500 mark as the halfway mark of the season is quickly approaching. They have won six out of their last ten games on the season and currently find themselves on a one game winning streak.

The Houston Astros are coming into this game with a record of 35-19 through their first 54 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in first place of the American League West division as they hold an eight and a half game lead over the Los Angeles Angels who are in a massive slump at the moment. As for the result of this game I am going with the Houston Astros to pick up the victory over the Seattle Mariners.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-164)

Jeffery Thomas

The Seattle Mariners have all of a sudden found their groove again and have rattled off a few series wins in a row after taking two of three from the Texas Rangers over the weekend. That marks three consecutive series won including one over these Houston Astros that they are set to take on yet again.

The Astros have bounced back since that series by winning five of six including two of three over the Kansas City Royals on the road over the weekend. They now return home and get to face starting pitcher Robbie Ray who has had his struggles this season keeping balls inside the ballpark. That should bode well for Houston who ranks third in the league in homeruns and I expect to see them tee off on him early and cruise to a comfortable victory.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros -1.5 (+118)

Marko Nadin

The Houston Astros are on top of the AL West with a 35-19 record. They have won 6 of the last 7 games and are coming off a 2-1 series win over the Kansas City Royals. The Astros are second in the league hitting 1.31 home runs per game and are 21st scoring 4.22 runs per game. Houston will start Crisitian Javier tonight who is 3-2 for the season with a 2.41 ERA. The Astros have won 13 of the last 16 games against AL West opponents and 20 of the last 27 games against left-handed pitcher.

The Seattle Mariners are fourth in the AL West with a 24-30 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 series win over the Texas Rangers. The Mariners are 22nd in the league scoring 4.22 runs per game and 20th in the league allowing 4.48 runs per game. Seattle will start Bobbie Ray tonight who is 4-6 for the season with a 4.93 ERA. Seattle has won the last 4 opening games of a series and has lost 7 of the last 10 games after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Houston Astros (-164)

Toronto Blue Jays @ Kansas City Royals – 8:10PM ET

The Toronto Blue Jays and the Kansas City Royals will be playing game number one of their three game weekday series in this one. The Blue Jays are coming off of a series with the Minnesota Twins. While the Royals are coming off of a series with the Houston Astros.

Tony Battalio

The Toronto Blue Jays were hot coming into the weekend but they ran into an absolute buzz saw in the Minnesota Twins. The Blue Jays were going to lose two out of three games over the weekend against Minnesota and the two losses weren’t even close as they were beaten by multiple runs both times. Now they will be looking to bounce back against another American League Central team when they face the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium throughout the first three days of this week. The Jays will come into this game with a record of 31-22 through their first 53 games of the year.

The Kansas City Royals are having a rough season this year. As they come into the game with a record of 17-35 through their first 52 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in last place of the American League Central division at the moment and will likely be there for the majority of the season. As for the result of this game I am going with the Toronto Blue Jays to pick up the victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (-168)

Jeffery Thomas

The Toronto Blue Jays came into their weekend series with the Minnesota Twins winners of eight straight but couldn’t find a way to keep that success going. They dropped two of the three games and are now only 0.5 games up for that second place spot in the AL East over the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Jays will now start up a road trip in Kansas City against the Royals who have lost six of their last seven games. The Royals have the worst record in all of the American League and there’s no reason to back them in this matchup against one of the hottest teams in the league. I’ll roll with Toronto in this series opener on the road.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 (-111)

Marko Nadin

The Kansas City Royals are on the bottom of the AL Central with a 17-35 record. They have lost 6 of the last 7 games and are coming off a 2-1 series loss to the Houston Astros. Kansas City is ranked 26th in the league scoring only 3.86 runs per game and 27th allowing 5.46 runs per game. The Royals will start Daniel Lynch tonight who is 2-4 for the season with a 4.81 ERA. Kansas City has lost 107 of the last 158 home games against teams with a winning record and 10 of the last 13 games after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game.

The Toronto Blue Jays are second in the AL East with a 31-22 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 series loss to the Minnesota Twins. The Blue Jays are 17th in the league scoring 4.35 runs per game and are ranked 13th with 4.16 allowed runs per game. Toronto will start Ross Stripling tonight who is 1-1 for the season with a 4.22 ERA. The Blue Jays have won the last 5 road games and 7 of the last 9 games after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Toronto Blue Jays (-168)

Boston Red Sox @ Los Angeles Angels – 9:38PM ET

The Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Angels ill be playing game number one of their four game weekday series in this one. The Red Sox are coming off of a series with the Oakland Athletics. While the Angels are coming off of a series with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Tony Battalio

The Boston Red Sox have yet to lose in the month of June. They are coming into this game with a record of 27-27 through their 54 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are having a rough start to the year however, as they will have to keep their momentum up throughout the month of June if they want to get back into the American League East division title race. They are currently on a four game winning streak at the moment.

The Los Angeles Angels are on a very long losing streak at the moment. They have not won a single game over the span of their last ten on the season. They have dropped all the way down to 27-28 through their first 56 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. However, they still remain in second place in the American League West division. As for the result of this game I am going with the Boston Red Sox to pick up the victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Boston Red Sox (+108)

Jeffery Thomas

The Boston Red Sox are off to a perfect start in the month of June, winning their first four games including a three-game sweep over the Oakland Athletics over the weekend. They outscored the As 20-4 in those three games and now get a series with one of the coldest teams in the Los Angeles Angels. The 9-7 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies that the Angels suffered was loss #11 in a row and the one that has officially put them under .500 on the season.

Surprisingly, their 27-28 record still has them in 2nd place in the AL West but if things don’t get turned around soon they’ll start to drop down the standings quickly. Monday isn’t the day things will turn around for LA though, as they get Boston who is heading in the exact opposite direction. Michael Wacha and the Sox are building all their confidence while the Angels just can’t seem to get out of their own way. This is why I’m rolling with Boston here, who is providing us great value.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Boston Red Sox (+108)

Marko Nadin

The Los Angeles Angels are second in the AL West with a 27-28 record. They have lost the last 11 games and are coming off a 3-0 series loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. The Angels are 10th in the league scoring 4.59 runs per game and 17th in the league allowing 4.39 runs per game. The Angels will start Noah Syndergaard tonight who is 4.3 for the season with a 4.02 ERA. The Angels have won 23 of the last 32 games against teams with a losing record and have lost 5 of the last 6 games after scoring 5 runs or more in their previous game.

The Boston Red Sox are fourth in the AL East with a 27-27 record. They have won the last 4 games and are coming off a 3-0 series sweep against the Oakland Athletics. The Red Sox are 5th in the league scoring 4.89 runs per game and are ranked 14th in the league allowing 4.18 runs per game. Boston will start Michael Watcha tonight who is 3-1 for the season with a 2.43 ERA. The Red Sox have won the last 4 games after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game and 10 of the last 11 games when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Los Angeles Angels (-126)
