Alex Faedo went six innings for the win, allowing two runs on three hits and striking out 10. Akil Baddoo went 2 for 3 with a solo home run in the win. Riley Greene added one run and one RBI on two hits. Gavin Sheets was 1 for 3 with a solo home run for the White Sox.
ON THE MOUND
Lance Lynn (3-5, 6.28 ERA) is set to start for Chicago. The righty allowed two runs over six innings in his last start, a 5-2 road win over the Royals on Sunday. He earned the win, giving up four hits while striking out six and walking two.
Lynn is making his first appearance against the Tigers this season. Over two starts against the Tigers in 2022, Lynn was 1-0 with a 4.35 ERA over 10.1 innings. He had 11 strikeouts and no walk. Left-hander Joey Wentz (1-4, 7.45 ERA) gets the ball for Detroit.
It’s his first appearance of the season against the White Sox. In his last start on Sunday, Wentz took the loss on the road against the Nationals. He threw two innings and gave up six runs on 10 hits, striking out one, in the 6-4 defeat.
