ON THE MOUND
Tanner Bibee (2-2, 3.91 ERA) is slated to get the start for Cleveland. The righty allowed six runs over four innings in his last start, a 6-3 home defeat against the Padres on Tuesday.
He was charged with the loss, giving up eight hits while striking out three and walking two. Righty Zach Davies (1-2, 5.46 ERA) will take the mound for Arizona. It’s his first appearance of the season against the Guardians.
Davies made one start against the Guardians in 2022, throwing two innings in a 6-5 road defeat on August 1. He gave up three hits and walked two while striking out one in the no-decision.
In his last start on Tuesday, Davies took the loss at home against the Phillies. He threw three innings and gave up six runs (4 ER) on six hits, striking out four and walking three in the 15-3 defeat.
