The No. 4 seed Indiana Hoosiers (22-11, 13-9 Big 10) take on the No. 13 seed Kent State Golden Flashes (28-6, 18-3 MAC) Friday at MVP Arena in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Kent State topped the Toledo Rockets 93-78 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Saturday in the Mid-American Conference Tourney Championship, their sixth straight win. Sincere Carry was the key player with 26 points.
Indiana dropped their last game in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tourney on Saturday at United Center, falling to the Penn State Nittany Lions 77-73. Trayce Jackson-Davis had 24 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists in defeat to lead the team.
Carry is averaging 17.6 points per game to lead the Golden Flashes in scoring this season. Carry also has dished 4.9 assists per game. Meanwhile, Miryne Thomas is grabbing 5.5 rebounds. Jackson-Davis has supplied much of the Hoosiers’ offense, averaging 19.5 points per game.
