The Texas A&M Aggies (10-5, 2-0 SEC) will try to slow down one of the NCAA’s top scoring teams when they welcome the No. 20 Missouri Tigers (13-2, 2-1 SEC) on Wednesday. Missouri narrowly defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores 85-82 at Mizzou Arena on Saturday.
DeAndre Gholston had a standout performance with 18 points. The Tigers remain fifth in the Southeastern Conference. Texas A&M won their fourth in a row on Saturday at Reed Arena, beating the LSU Tigers 69-56. Dexter Dennis had 17 points and six rebounds to lead the team. The Aggies are first in the Southeastern Conference.
The teams are meeting for the only time this season. Missouri and Texas A&M split their matchups last season, taking one apiece. The Tigers triumphed in the last meeting 70-66 at Reed Arena in February 2022. Kobe Brown led the Tigers with 21 points and six assists.
Quenton Jackson had 17 points and six rebounds in the losing effort. D’Moi Hodge and Brown, averaging 15.9 and 15.5 points per game, respectively, are leading the Tigers in scoring this season. Brown also has grabbed 5.6 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Nick Honor is dishing 3.6 assists per game.
