The Nevada Wolf Pack (15-5, 5-2 MWC) will try to slow down one of the country’s top scoring teams when they host the New Mexico Lobos (18-2, 5-2 MWC) on Monday.
New Mexico squeaked by the Boise State Broncos 81-79 in overtime at The Pit on Friday, their fourth win in a row. Jamal Mashburn Jr. was the key player with 25 points and seven rebounds. The Lobos remain second in the Mountain West Conference.
Nevada dropped their last game on Tuesday at ExtraMile Arena, falling to the Boise State Broncos 77-62. Jarod Lucas led the team in scoring in defeat with 15 points.
With 8 points, Nick Davidson also had an impressive game. The Wolf Pack dropped to fourth in the Mountain West Conference. This is the only meeting of the season between the teams.
They last met in the Mountain West Conference Tournament first round when the Wolf Pack knocked out the Lobos with a 79-72 victory at Thomas & Mack Center in March 2022, their seventh straight head-to-head win.

Darrion Williams has averaged 7.3 rebounds per game.
