The No. 6 Kansas Jayhawks (8-1) will try to slow down the country’s top scoring team when they travel to face the Missouri Tigers (9-0) on Saturday. Kansas blew out the Seton Hall Pirates 91-65 at Allen Fieldhouse on December 1.
With 17 points and 10 rebounds, Kevin McCullar Jr. led the way. Missouri won their ninth in a row on Sunday at Mizzou Arena, beating the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks 96-89.
Kobe Brown had 25 points and eight rebounds to lead the team. This marks the only meeting of the season between the teams. Kansas took the only game between the teams last season 102-65 at Allen Fieldhouse in December 2021. Ochai Agbaji led the Jayhawks with 21 points. Javon Pickett had 19 points in the losing effort.
The Jayhawks have been led this season by Jalen Wilson, who is averaging 21.9 points per game. Wilson also has grabbed 9.3 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Dajuan Harris Jr. is dishing 6.2 assists. D’Moi Hodge and Brown have supplied much of the Tigers’ offense, averaging 16.7 and 14.3 points per game, respectively.
Brown also has averaged 5.8 rebounds per game. Sean East II has recorded 3.6 assists per game. The Tigers rank as the most explosive offense in the country with 93.0 points per game.
