The Seton Hall Pirates (4-3) head to face the No. 9 Kansas Jayhawks (7-1), who will be looking to extend their home winning streak, on Thursday. Seton Hall was defeated by the Siena Saints 60-55 at State Farm Field House on Sunday. Al-Amir Dawes was the leading scorer in the losing effort with 15 points.
Kansas won their fifth home game in a row in impressive fashion on Monday at Allen Fieldhouse, beating the Texas Southern Tigers 87-55. Jalen Wilson had 22 points and six assists to lead the team. The Jayhawks earned the win in the last meeting between the teams 83-79 at Intrust Bank Arena in March 2018.
Dawes and Tyrese Samuel, averaging 11.9 and 10.9 points per game, respectively, have led the Pirates in scoring this season. Samuel also has grabbed 6.6 rebounds per game. Meanwhile, Kadary Richmond is dishing 3.0 assists per game. Wilson (22.8 ppg) has supplied much of the Jayhawks’ offense. Wilson also has posted 8.9 rebounds per game. Dajuan Harris Jr. has recorded 6.1 assists per game.
