Virginia @ #9 Duke – 7pm ET

The Virginia Cavaliers come into his game with a record of 14-9, while Duke is 19-3. Both of these teams will be looking for a huge Atlantic Coast Conference win in this game. Virginia is in sixth place of the conference while Duke is in first.

Marko Nadin

The Duke Blue Devils are the leading team in the ACC with a 19-3 record including 13-1 at home. Duke’s only home loss came a month ago when the Miami Hurricanes won 74-72. The Blue Devils are 7-1 since then and are coming off an 87-67 win over the North Carolina Tar Heels. Duke’s confidence is through the roof after defeating the rival. Duke is 15th in the nation with 80.7 points per game and they allow more than 16 points less. The Blue Devils are a good three point shooting team with 36.6%. The Blue Devils are 37th in the nation allowing only 40% from the field goal and 9th allowing 65.1 from the line. Duke has covered the spread in 4 of the last five games. Duke has won 7 of the last 10 games against Virginia.

The Virginia Cavaliers are 6th in the ACC with a 14-9 record including 3-5 on the road. They have won three of the last five games and are coming off a 71-58 win over the Miami Hurricanes. Virginia is among the worst teams when it comes to scoring as they score only 63.2 points per game which ranks them 330th. Luckily they allow only 59.5 points per game which ranks them 12th. The Cavaliers are 11-12 against the spread this season.

Marko’s College Basketball Pick: Duke (-850)

Tony Battalio

The Virginia Cavaliers are coming into this game with a record of 14-9 on the season so far. They are having a rare down year for the program as they usually find themselves in the top quarter of the Atlantic Coast Conference and the entire nation itself. Despite the down year they are still in 6th place of the ACC at the moment and have a real chance to finish top four if they start to string some wins together. The Cavaliers are currently on a two game winning streak as they head to Cameron to play the Blue Devils.

The previously mentioned Duke Blue Devils come into this game off of a rout of arch rival North Carolina. Duke is currently on a five game winning streak entering this game as well. Duke has a record of 19-3 on the year as they are ranked 9th in the nation. Duke will be looking to extend their lead in the ACC over Notre Dame with a victory in this game over the Cavaliers at home. As for the result of this game I have the Duke Blue Devils picking up the victory over Virginia.

Tony’s College Basketball Pick: Duke (-850)

Noah Dunlap

Coming in at 14-9, this certainly isn’t the Virginia team we’re used to, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be dangerous. Any team coached by Tony Bennett is a team that is going to play really good defense, which is exactly what these Cavaliers do. The issue is simply how bad their offense has been all year long. They’ve won two straight heading into this game at Cameron Indoor, which should give them some confidence, but the question is whether that’ll make a difference.

Duke comes into this one as one of the best teams in the country at 19-3, including a rout of in-state rival North Carolina in their last game. They have one of the best freshmen in the nation in Paolo Banchero, and he’s been a huge reason for the Blue Devils’ success this season. In the end, I think this is a game that Virginia keeps relatively low scoring, but I simply don’t trust their offense to be able to put up enough points for them to pull off the upset. Give me Duke at home to pick up another important win as they try to take care of an ACC title.

#7 Arizona @ Arizona State – 9pm ET

This rivalry game is likely to be a lopsided one as Arizona should handle Arizona State with ease. However after seeing the Sun Devils upset the Bruins at home, who knows how this game could end up going. Arizona will be looking for another win, while State will be looking to play spoiler once more.

Marko Nadin

The Arizona State Sun Devils are coming off one of the biggest upsets this season in the NCAA as they defeated the UCLA Bruins 87-84 in triple overtime. Still, they are only 9th in Pac 12 with a 7-13 record and 5-5 at home. Arizona State is allowing 68.9 points per game while scoring only 63.5. Offensively, they are ranked under 300 in the nation in every important category. Defensively they are much better as they allow 39.8% from the field and 32.8% from the three-point line.

The Arizona Wildcats are on top of the Pac 12 conference with a 19-2 record. They have lost only to Tennessee and UCLA this season. The Wildcats are coming off a 72-63 win over UCS. That was the closest any team has to get in Arizona’s last ten wins. Arizona is the best rebounding team in the nation with 40.7 rebounds per game. They have the third best offense with 84.9 points per game. The Wildcats allow second-best 36.8% from the field. It will be a total miracle if Arizona State defeats Arizona after they beat the Bruins in their previous game.

Marko’s College Basketball Pick: Arizona (-1200)

Tony Battalio

The Arizona Wildcats are coming into this game with a record of 19-2 on the season. They are currently ranked 7th in the nation, however, that is likely to change before tip-off on Monday evening as the new rankings will be released on Monday afternoon. Arizona is currently on a three game winning streak and has won four of their last five. They will be looking to complete the sweep over the Sun Devils as well after already beating them once this season at home by a score of 67-56 back on January 29th.

The Arizona State Sun Devils are coming off of huge multi overtime over the UCLA Bruins at home on Saturday evening. Now the Sun Devils come into this game with a record of 7-13 on the season. Despite the huge win it’s not going to do much to help the Sun Devils tournament chances, unless they win the Pac-12 Tournament they are all but eliminated from the NCAA Tournament at this point. As for the result of this game, I only expect it to get worse for Arizona State as I have the Arizona Wildcats running away with this game.

Tony’s College Basketball Pick: Arizona (-1200)

Noah Dunlap

Despite a massive upset Saturday night over UCLA, don’t expect this Arizona State team to repeat that performance in this one. The first issue is that they simply aren’t very good, as they enter this one at 7-13, but also the fact that their win over the Bruins came in triple overtime. A brutal two game stretch against two top-10 teams, only two days apart, and the first one goes into triple overtime. All of that makes me question how much energy this Sun Devils team can bring into this one.

Arizona comes into this one ranked seventh, and is guaranteed to rise when the new polls come out Monday. They’ve won four of five, with the only loss coming to UCLA in a game that they later avenged, and with a duo of Christian Koloko and Bennedict Mathurin, I think they’re one of the most talented teams in the country. Give me the Arizona Wildcats to go on the road to Tempe and take care of their in-state rivals in a game that I could easily see getting out of hand in a hurry.

Noah’s College Basketball Pick: Arizona (-1200)

#10 Kansas @ #23 Texas – 9pm ET

The Kansas Jayhawks will be looking for their second straight ranked win over a team from the Lone Star State after blowing out the Baylor Bears in their last one. Meanwhile, the Texas Longhorns will be looking for a huge top 10 victory in this game on Monday evening.

Marko Nadin

The Texas Longhorns are fourth in the Big 12 with a 17-6 record including 14-1 at home. The only team that managed to beat Texas on their floor this season was Kansas State. The Longhorns are coming off a 63-41 win over ISU. Texas is the best defensive team in the league allowing only 54.9% from the field. They rank 35th with 39.8% failed goal allowed. What Texas lacks this season to become a contender is rebounding as they are 246th in the nation with only 31.3 rebounds per game.

The Kansas Jayhawks are on top of the Big 12 with a 19-3 record including 5-1 on the road. They have won the last two games most recently 83-59 over the defending champion Baylor. Kansas has the 19th best offense in the nation with 80.2 points per game and they ranked 7th in field goal percentage with 49.2%. Kansas opponents on average shoot 42% from the field and 30% from the three point line. It will be interesting to see how Kansas’ offense will go against the best defense in the country but even if they score less than their average, the Jayhawks will win this one.

Marko’s College Basketball Pick: Kansas (-110)

Tony Battalio

The Kansas Jayhawks are coming into this one with a record of 19-3 on the season. They recovered nicely from their blowout loss to the Kentucky Wildcats by beating the Iowa State Cyclones on the road and demolishing the Baylor Bears at home by a score of 83-59 in their last game. Now they will be looking to make it three in a row with another ranked win over the Texas Longhorns in this one. Kansas is looking more and more like a one seed as the season progresses and they continue to rack up victories.

The Texas Longhorns come into this game with a record of 17-6 on the season. They are currently ranked 23rd in the nation. They are on a one game winning streak and have picked up victories in four of their last five games as well on the season. They are looking strong as tournament time is quickly approaching and will be looking to add a huge resume boosting victory in this one with a victory over the Kansas Jayhawks at home. As for the result of this game, however, I can’t see Texas winning as I have the Kansas Jayhawks picking up the win in this one on the road.

Tony’s College Basketball Pick: Kansas (-110)

Noah Dunlap

Texas finally picked up the kind of resume boosting win that they were missing, in their last game, as they knocked off the Iowa State Cyclones. They’re 17-6 on the year, and while I think they’re decent, I question how good they are, as the win over ISU was their first big time win, as their only other win before that was a one-point victory over Tennessee. This lack of big wins makes me a touch nervous, especially coming into this matchup.

They take on Kansas in this one, and it’s a Jayhawk team that is trending in the right direction. Following a blowout loss at home to Kentucky in the Big 12/SEC Challange, they’ve run off two straight wins, including a massive rout of Baylor just two days ago. With one of the best rosters in the country, it’s hard to see how this  Kansas team doesn’t end up as a one or two seed come tournament time, and that starts with continuing to pick up wins like tonight. Give me the Jayhawks in this one on the road against a good Texas team, but one that still has a lot to prove before I pick them to pull off a huge upset.

Noah’s College Basketball Pick: Kansas (-110)
