The Texas Tech Red Raiders (3-0) are on the road to face the Creighton Bluejays (4-0) on Monday in a showdown of teams on winning runs.Texas Tech defeated the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 64-55 at United Supermarkets Arena on Monday, their third win in a row.
With 15 points and six assists, De’Vion Harmon was the key player. Creighton won their fourth in a row in dominant fashion on Thursday at CHI Health Center Omaha, beating the UC Riverside Highlanders 80-51.
Baylor Scheierman had 17 points and six rebounds, carrying the team. The Bluejays won the last meeting between the teams 83-76 at Orleans Arena in November 2019. Marcus Zegarowski led the Bluejays with 32 points.
Davide Moretti had 23 points in defeat. Kevin Obanor and Harmon, averaging 12.3 and 11.3 points per game, respectively, are leading the Red Raiders in scoring early this season. Harmon also has dished 4.3 assists per game.
Meanwhile, Daniel Batcho is grabbing 7.0 rebounds per game. Ryan Kalkbrenner’s 16.5 points per game have powered the Bluejays on offense. Scheierman is pulling down 8.8 rebounds per game, and Ryan Nembhard is tallying 6.8 assists.
