The Troy Trojans (6-1), one of the country’s top scoring teams, head to face the No. 9 Arkansas Razorbacks (5-1) on Monday. Troy outplayed the Southern-New Orleans Knights 118-61 at Trojan Arena on Tuesday. Nelson Phillips led the way with 22 points, 13 steals, eight rebounds, and eight assists.
Arkansas got the win on Wednesday at Lahaina Civic Center, beating the San Diego State Aztecs 78-74. Trevon Brazile had 20 points and nine rebounds, carrying the team. The Razorbacks got the win in the last meeting between the teams 88-63 at Simmons Bank Arena in December 2017.
The Trojans have been led this season by Duke Miles (14.0 ppg), Phillips (13.6), and Christyon Eugene (12.0). Meanwhile, Zay Williams is grabbing 6.4 rebounds per game, and Aamer Muhammad is dishing 3.3 assists.
Ricky Council IV has supplied much of the Razorbacks’ offense, averaging 19.0 points per game. Brazile is pulling down 7.8 rebounds per game, and Anthony Black is tallying 3.5 assists.The Trojans are one of the most explosive offenses in the nation, ranking 16th with 86.0 points per game.
