The No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide (11-2, 1-0 SEC), one of the country’s top scoring teams, play host to the Ole Miss Rebels (8-5, 0-1 SEC) on Tuesday.
Ole Miss lost to the Tennessee Volunteers 63-59 at The Pavilion at Ole Miss on Wednesday. Jaemyn Brakefield had a standout performance in the loss with 18 points.
Alabama found victory on Wednesday at Humphrey Coliseum, beating the Mississippi State Bulldogs 78-67. Mark Sears had 20 points to lead the team. The teams are meeting for the only time this season. Alabama won the only game between the teams last season 97-83 at The Pavilion at Ole Miss in February 2022, their fifth straight head-to-head victory.
Jaden Shackelford led the Crimson Tide with 30 points, while JD Davison was a key contributor with 18 points and eight assists. Jarkel Joiner had 33 points in the loss. The Rebels have been led this season by Matthew Murrell, who is averaging 14.8 points per game. Murrell also has dished 2.5 assists per game.
Meanwhile, Myles Burns is grabbing 6.8 rebounds.Brandon Miller (19.2 ppg) has supplied much of the Crimson Tide’s offense. Miller also has collected 8.8 rebounds per game. Jaden Bradley has tallied 3.8 assists per game.With 83.2 points per game, the Crimson Tide are one of the top scoring offenses in the country (15th).
